How did this happen? So many appear surprised and they come up with so many answers. Almost to a one wrong.
First, we do not need cultural Christians. Individuals are either true, born anew, transformed by the Holy Spirit, or changed into a new person from within authentic Christians, disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ — and everyone else.
Not according to me. According to Jesus. According to God. According to God’s inerrant infallible unchanging living and active Word.
Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
John 3:3
The problem has been make-believers. Those who grew up in a family of a certain denomination and have placed that denomination and their family history above everything else. The Word of God falls down on their list. It’s all about appearances. The show. Outward things. Not a truly changed heart and mind, no renewing of the spirit, the heart and mind.
When a church is weak, when an individuals faith is weak — even though they may have perfect church attendance, make sure they serve in the church [and make sure people know that they do] that they do things, work at it, talk as they have been told to talk, do what they have been told to do — by man’s doctrine, by a denominations dictates that have overruled the Word of God in their lives. When such an individual, a church is so weak they are also so easily attacked by Satan and easily conquered all the while not realizing what has really occurred.
Not according to me. According to the facts, the evidence.
Were this not so we would not be where we presently are in what passes for Christian churches and individual Christians.
People have allowed themselves, since not being solidly ground and founded on THE ROCK — The Lord Jesus Christ making Him Lord of their lives — and they are not Bible literate, not Bible fluent, most not reading, studying or meditating upon the Word of God — thinking deeply on what is read, pondering what is read, and putting what is read into practice is it any wonder the condition of individual Christians, professed Christian denominations and churches, and what passes for Christianity in America is as it is?
When people become lax, easily distracted, self-involved, and more in love with the things of this world and their individual pursuits they make a much greater priority than loving the Lord with all their heart, mind, soul, spirit, and body — thus understanding the necessity of being born again, experiencing real change from within and what that then leads an individual to and from — it’s all for naught. It’s all show.
Like a Pharisee.
It isn’t about religiosity. It isn’t about religion. Or what church a person belongs to.
It’s about the state and condition of an individual’s heart, mind, spirit, soul, and entire being towards God. Towards the Lord Jesus Christ, God Who came to earth as fully truly God and also fully truly God — and there is no need to fully understand this as one fully understands helium is lighter than oxygen and therefore when balloons are filled with helium they float and rise up — no, to know that God came to earth fully truly God while also fully truly a man, born of a virgin, all things exactly as they were prohesized from Genesis 3:15 onwards in God’s Word is understood completely. In the heart and mind. By faith.
There has always and only been a remnant. Really. Throughout history.
And as we are in the Last of the Last Days, nearing the End of Days, nearing the Return of the Lord Jesus Christ everything — EVERY THING — in, on, about this world and its people, its institutions, its human governments are falling down and falling apart. Torn asunder. By demonic forces. Which the people have become utterly enslaved to and follow rather than turning to God and following and serving the Lord.
It is repetitive, I know, but we are truly living in these times…
Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
Isaiah 5:20
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things.
Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.
For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.
And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.
Romans 1:18-32
Wondering why the past couple of generations have turned out as they have and why things are as they are?
The family was attacked and broken. And people accepted this, applauded it actually, and have given their approval to this destruction. It’s the norm when it is totally not normal as we were created to live by God.
Along with this, parents ceased being adult parents and had to be their offspring’s friend, to allow their offspring to do whatever they wanted. The so-called parent fearful of being disliked, even hated, thus imposing no discipline, no boundaries, and this time out dung and go to your room and think about what you’ve done has done nothing!
Add to this toxic mix the indoctrination of self-esteem, everyone’s special and a winner — without any true Christian Bible foundation in the family, and what is to be expected?
Was a time when reading the Holy Bible was intrinsic to EVERY school curriculum in America.
A nation that went from awe and reverence for God, that knew what the Holy Bible was and means, to a people, a nation now litigating [one evil organization in Wisconsin keeping the whole nation asking and quaking in far as they bow to their demands rather than obeying God and God’s Word] and making sure there is no trace of God or true Christianity in schools.
Is it any wonder?
I’m old enough to remember when the school day began with a prayer.
When God and the Holy Bible were not reviled, hated, mocked, and kept out of school.
This didn’t take 1,000 years, 100 years — this all transpired quickly. Very, very quickly. In less than one lifetime.
Yet so many still reside in utter darkness. So many go about coasting, deluded, deceived, living in their banal illusionary bubble worlds adhering to the lies of the world — and every lie has its origin in the father of lies, the devil. Satan.
All of this, everything that has happened, is happening, and will happen as a consequence of the people turning from God to false teachers, unsound doctrines, strong delusions, to feeling good, has been clearly, easy to understand and find — IN GOD’S HOLY BIBLE.
So plain, so clear, so easy to know and understand even a child can come to this knowledge and understanding.
Sadly, tragically, the most important book and words on earth being the most neglected book and words on earth. Especially by so many claiming to be followers of Christ as they instead follow the world, follow their feelings, follow their worldy unchanged heart.

The Collapse of Cultural Christianity—And the Rise of Cultural Queerness
Around 25% of Gen Z in America now identify as sexually perverted, sexually immoral, sexually deviant, and abnormal, compared to 3% of the general population.

How do nations become post-Christian? To quote Ernest Hemingway: Gradually, and then suddenly.
For decades, the United States has been a bastion of religiosity, bucking the trend of secularization, but in recent years, the needle has begun to move. According to a 2019 poll, between 20% and 25% of American adults now identify as ‘nones’ (meaning that they do not identify with any religion), a percentage that is higher among younger adults than older adults and likely indicative of a long-term trend. According to a 2020 Politico/Morning Consult poll, 49% of voting-age Gen Z (those born after 1996) respondents identified as either agnostic or atheist—a sea change in religious identification.
To unpack those numbers a bit further, consider that a 2017 survey found that only 11% of Americans claimed to have read the entire Bible—meaning that a whopping 89% have not. Thus, it is no surprise that even Americans who still identify as Christian are abandoning any semblance of orthodoxy, with 40% of American Christians claiming that the Bible is ‘ambiguous’ on abortion, 34% rejecting the biblical definition of marriage, and another 34% claiming that abortion is morally acceptable.
There are many reasons for the ‘rise of the nones,’ but one is that many who had merely identified as Christian as a nod to their heritage or culture without actually believing any of its tenets are now abandoning the label as it becomes socially inconvenient. Until recently, identifying as some sort of Christian was a net positive; that’s why elites such as Barack Obama did so. But as it becomes a net negative, many are switching their allegiance to the new cultural elites. This is especially true of younger Americans, who have come of age cut off from their civilizational inheritance and deformed by the public education system.
For example, around a quarter of Gen Z identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, or ‘genderqueer’—while just a few years ago, less than 3% of the population identified as on the LGBT spectrum. Politico reported in 2020 that “a third of Gen Zers say they know someone who uses gender-neutral pronouns to refer to themselves and nearly 6 in 10 say forms or online profiles should allow more options than ‘man’ or ‘woman’” and that consequently, “religious liberty, particularly as it relates to discrimination against LGBTQ people … does not at all resonate with younger Americans.”
In short, the upcoming generation of Americans increasingly views religious freedom as overt bigotry. Identification with the LGBT movement is undergoing an astronomical rise; identification with Christianity is plummeting.
Indeed, dozens of new sexual and gender identities have recently been invented, allowing straight people to claim LGBT status as well. In 2023, 38% of Brown University’s student population identified as LGBT—with many simply identifying as ‘other’—up from 14% a decade earlier. An overwhelming majority of those identifying as non-heterosexual in name, however, are only interested in relationships with the opposite sex in practice. As gay rights activist Andrew Sullivan observed, most of those claiming to be bisexual were, in fact, only in relationships with the opposite sex. They’d adopted the label, not the lifestyle.
The reality is that people are claiming to be LGBT because it is trendy and popular to do so. Indeed, Dr. Eric Kaufmann of the University of London has noted that although LGBT activists like to claim that a more accepting culture has allowed more people to come out of the closet, the data tell a different story. The Center for the Study of Partisanship and Ideology has tracked data that confirm what Sullivan noted: LGBT identification has risen sharply, while same-sex activity has not.
“If this was about people feeling able to come out, then we should have seen these two trends rise together,” Kaufmann told one media outlet. “What we find instead is that identity is rising much faster than behavior, indicating that people with occasional rather than sustained feelings of attraction to the opposite sex are increasingly identifying as LGBT.” What is even more likely is that vague terms like ‘queer’ are allowing straight kids to obtain the status and privilege that now come with identifying as LGBT without actually engaging in same-sex behavior.
Exhibit A is Michaela Kennedy-Cuomo, daughter of former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo. In 2021, she came out as ‘queer’; less than a month later, she announced that she is ‘demisexual,’ which is defined as—I’m not making this up—“a sexual orientation in which a person feels sexually attracted to someone only after they’ve developed a close emotional bond with them.” In an Instagram Live, Kennedy-Cuomo described her journey: “When I was in middle school, I came out to my family and close friends as bisexual. When I was in high school, I discovered pansexuality and thought, ‘That’s the flag for me.’ And I’ve recently learned more about demisexuality and have believed that that identity resonates with me most.”
The older generation of Kennedy-Cuomos were culturally Catholic. The younger generation is opting to be culturally queer—and for the same reasons.
Some have argued that the skyrocketing rates of young people identifying as LGBT indicates a social contagion. There is truth to that analysis. But these stats also indicate the sheer scale of the LGBT movement’s near-total victory in not only mainstreaming their ideology but achieving cultural dominance in key institutions. A crucial sign of that dominance is the fact that so many young people desperately want to identify with their movement.
Cultural Christians are rapidly disappearing. Cultural queers are replacing them.
