James Version
Dust rises
grates
rubs
does blow
and I’m ready to go
And the LORD God
formed man [of] the dust of the ground,
and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life;
and man became a living soul.
In the sweat of thy face
shalt thou eat bread,
till thou return unto the ground;
for out of it wast thou taken:
for dust thou [art],
and unto dust shalt thou return.
Nothing more
than
a worm
wriggling
on a hook
don’t
need
to turn around
and take another look
The LORD [is] slow to anger,
and great in power,
and will not at all acquit [the wicked]:
the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm,
and the clouds [are] the dust of his feet.
Dust rises
scrapes
irritates
nostrils
gasp
at its grasp
the bite of an
asp
more desired
than
just more dust
more dust
more
dust
The LORD shall make the rain of thy
land powder
and dust:
from heaven shall it come down upon thee,
until thou be destroyed.
land powder
and dust:
from heaven shall it come down upon thee,
until thou be destroyed.
The
waters wear the stones:
thou washest away
the things which grow [out] of the dust of the earth;
and thou destroyest the hope of man.
waters wear the stones:
thou washest away
the things which grow [out] of the dust of the earth;
and thou destroyest the hope of man.
For all we truly
are
when
the last speck
we
think we are
melds
into other dust
is spirit
as created
by
the
One True Living God
They shall lick the dust like a serpent,
they shall move out of their holes like worms of the
earth:
earth:
they shall be afraid of the LORD our God,
and shall fear because of thee.
Nothing
more
than dust made into mud
with the spittle
and breath of God
yet
this which is dust
becomes
our treasure
while
that of God
heaven
the instructive Living Word
few give thought
or measure
And I will bring distress upon men,
that they shall walk like blind men,
because they have sinned against the LORD:
and their blood shall be poured out as dust,
and their flesh as the dung.
Mud pies
with eyes
that
seem to see
as if in some perpetual
traveling fair’s House of Mirrors
twisted
distorted
convoluted
that’s
the long
and the short of it
since few
in distorted perspectives
view
truly
placing
unduly
upon a tier
the mud pies
with eyes
[They shall be] burnt with hunger,
and devoured with burning heat,
and with bitter destruction:
I will also send the teeth of beasts upon them,
with the poison of serpents of the dust.
Tears
shall flow
like rivers of
electrified sorrow
on some morrow
since all seem
to beg
steal
borrow
from the point
the purpose
and refuse
to anoint
Jesus Christ the Lord’s
feet with
the oil
of their
spirit
And many of them that sleep
in the dust of the earth
shall awake,
some to everlasting life,
and some to shame [and] everlasting contempt.
Dust rises
grates
rubs
does blow
and I’m ready to go
All flesh shall perish together,
and man shall turn again unto dust.
Nothing more
than
a worm
wriggling
on a hook
don’t
need
to turn around
and take another look
Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand,
and meted out heaven with the span,
and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure,
and weighed the mountains in scales,
and the hills in a balance?
Who hath directed the
Spirit of the LORD,
Who hath directed the
Spirit of the LORD,
or [being] his counsellor hath taught him?
With whom
took he counsel,
With whom
took he counsel,
and [who] instructed him,
and taught him in the path of judgment,
and taught him knowledge,
and shewed to him the way of understanding?
Behold, the
nations [are] as a drop of a bucket,
Behold, the
nations [are] as a drop of a bucket,
and are counted as the small dust of the balance:
behold, he taketh up the isles as a very little
thing.
And Lebanon [is] not sufficient to burn,
thing.
And Lebanon [is] not sufficient to burn,
nor the beasts thereof
sufficient for a burnt offering.
All nations before him
[are] as nothing;
All nations before him
[are] as nothing;
and they are counted to him less than nothing,
and vanity.
To whom then will ye liken God?
To whom then will ye liken God?
or what likeness will ye compare unto him?
Dust rises
scrapes
irritates
nostrils
gasp
at its grasp
the bite of an
asp
more desired
than
just more dust
more dust
more
dust
All go unto one place;
all are of the dust,
and all turn to dust again.
Here’s
mud in my eye
for I
am ready
to die
this dust
is ready to go…
Let the enemy persecute my soul,
and take [it];
yea,
let him tread down my life upon the earth,
and lay mine honour in the dust. Selah.
Arise, O LORD,
Arise, O LORD,
in thine anger,
lift up thyself because of the rage of mine enemies:
and awake for me
[to]
the judgment
[that]
thou hast commanded.
This once paradise
as God desired
nothing more
than a funeral pyre
of lost
mud pies
with eyes
living worse
than livestock
in sties
darkened
spirits
in dilapidated barns
stalls
taking a fall
refusing to heed the call
see the writing
on the wall…
All
[they that be]
fat upon earth
shall eat and worship:
all they that go down
to the dust
shall bow before him:
and none can keep alive his own soul.
Dust rises
grates
rubs
does blow
and I’m ready to go
Remember,
I beseech thee,
that thou hast made me as the clay;
and wilt thou bring me into dust again?
