Like A Rock

Father,

Jehovah Elyon

God most high

I give thanks

to Thee

because I can see

hear

taste

stand

kneel

feel

O, Jehovah Ro’i

The Lord is my Shepherd

may I come closer

to Thee

hear my plea

this thinking

speaking worm of dust I am

thankful

in all things

all Thou doest bring

be it the rain of spring

or this life’s painful sting

I am a blessed man

for I know Thee

I can see

I have learned of Thy Son

Yeshua, Jesus Christ the Lord

the mercy

grace

salvation

He did accord

by loving me

before I loved Him

easing me from this constant

dead spiral of winless sin

O, Jehovah Shammah

My God always there

easing my care

emboldening my spirit

drawing me to Thy Word

hunger to always draw near it

Each day

may I bow before Thee

in thanks

for my sight

the vision Thou hast given

the hearing ears

the heart to soften

open

fill

Thy Spirit begin to spill

overflowing

increasing my knowing

of Thee

Thy will

I thank Thee

for all Thou lay before me

reproving

improving

honing in the fire

as my Rock

I like a rock

may look plain on the outside

while fire of spirit lights

ignites

burns

illuminates within!

Father,

Jehovah Elyon

I thank Thee

for all I have

for all I have not

placing complete trust

faith

in

Thee

Thy Word

The Son

thankful in spirit

Thou has blessed my beyond measure

to see

to hear

to stand

to feel

knowing

Thy Word

is always near

to comfort

heal

I am like a rock

whose surface my not reveal

the fire

the light

within

from the joy

the thanks

the life

I now have

believing in Thy Son

Yeshua, Christ the Lord

dying

spilling His blood

because of my sin…

O, Jehovah Ro’i

where do I begin

to offer up enough praise, thanks, honor

to Thee

for lifting me

providing me to hear

to see?
