A CROOKED PATH

If you’re looking for a place that is primarily political in nature, aligning with your political ideologies above all else you’ve come to the wrong place.

While it may appear it’s that kind of place due to the wide information offered here this is not primarily and foremost a political website. The site’s heading — A Crooked Path: Made Straight by the Word of God — ought to let anyone entering know that immediately.

As the person that created and operates this site for going on 12 years now, it’s very clear to me that the highest viewer traffic occurs with those articles that could be categorized as political in nature. It’s a tragic statement on the condition of the body of Christ, those professing to be His, to be Christians, disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ that what interests them most at this juncture in world history is human politics, the politics of parties, nations, ideologies which only lead to further division, lies, confusion, and distancing from God, from Jesus, from the Holy Spirit [remember Him?} and the inerrant infallible Word of God [remember it?].

Publish something totally Christian faith based and no one bothers to read it.

Publish something about a recent political event or maneuvering, especially one of the opposing side, and it’s the most read thing.

Imagine that.

Our actions speak much louder than our words, or those shiny precious metal crosses around your necks, the cross being the greatest symbol of shame, not glittering jewelry in 24k gold, platinum, sterling silver, or encrusted with precious stones.

What was most precious was nailed to a wooden tree, the ultimate symbol of shame as well as one of the very worst manners in which to be killed, the most painful and horrible, after He was falsely accused, spat upon repeatedly, beaten beyond recognition of being a human being [read the factual account in Isaiah of this], whipped, mocked, and then nailed to that tree. A painful, agonizing bloody mess.

His precious life-giving, life-saving blood shed for sinners.

Not the precious metals markets and jewelry shops.

As the spiritual war escalates and with God by His will giving the people of this fallen, corrupted, and sinful world one more day, one more day closer to the Second and Final Coming of His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, and having Jesus be preeminent in the lives of true believers, at least the Lord Jesus Christ ought to be preeminent in the hearts, minds, spirits, souls, and lives of those professing faith, professing belief, and professing to be called one of His, a Christian, this particular place is going to reflect that more and politics less. Things, that by what I see from years of activity and what is read, articles believed to be mostly political though from the beginning I never intended for that to be the case — but it’s how horribly almost all people are conditioned and indoctrinated to be presently.

So, if an article is published here and it pertains to current American or world events, and it appears that the political angle is preeminent pause and take stock because the only reason that article will appear here is to merely, hopefully, show the pace, the place, the predicament the people of this world are in and how everything taking place is part of the fabric of Bible prophecy, everything happens with God’s knowledge. Nothing escapes Him. Nothing. And it’s time, if ever there was time, for folks to finally come to the awareness and realization, along with the submission and acceptance that they are not the power. They are not God or even gods.

No person is a puppet. No person is without choice. Free will. But God, Who resides outside of time, which is something every person is going to have to understand and come to terms with, God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit — the Triune God that KNEW EVERY PERSON TO EVER BE BORN AND LIVE BEFORE THE FOUNDATIONS OF THE WORLD WERE CREATED...and God said the very first, “Let there be…” THAT GOD that knew every thought ever thought, every word ever spoken, every good deed ever done, every sin ever committed by every person — right to the end of the age, He even knew every day in history how many hairs were on every head that particular day! — THAT GOD knows all and saw every deed, every word, everything done in secret by every person — BEFORE the earth and the heavens were even formed.

And you think you can bring the kingdom of God to earth? That you’re the power? The political party or the politicians, or the government in the country where you reside is the power? And that people here deserve the glory? That your favorite politicians deserve the glory and praise? That it’s all about elections, political parties, human governments, America, whatever country you live in, favored politicians, and pastors and people? Really? Have you really read and meditated — thought deeply — upon what you’ve read in the Holy Bible? If you truly read it.

Where are our hearts and minds? Where are our priorities? Are we truly God’s people or merely people of the world? Pretenders. Pharisees. Religious without being holy, godly, Christ-like, or Biblical.

I bring this to you because the facts reveal what the overwhelming majority of those professing to be disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ, Christians, and God’s people care about most are the matters of this passing world. Politics. Self. Not making God, Christ, and the Holy Spirit preeminent in our lives.

The facts, ma’ams, and sirs, just the facts…

Because the current facts reveal in a nation where almost seven out of ten people declare themselves as Chrisitan few ever bother to read the Word of God. Most are Bible illiterate. Lacking Bible fluency. And those holding a Biblical worldview have dropped from a meager 6% to now the Biblical Worldview is down to 4% according to the latest extensive and trustworthy research. That’s 4% of the total population of folks in America. Where according to them about 7 out of 10 profess to be disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ. Do you not believe if this latter percentage were true America would appear and live as a totally different nation and people than is evidenced, and by the evidence the former percentage, the 4% is the accurate number?

Want to remain primarily political, worldly, focused on American politics, politics wherever you may reside over becoming more mature in the ways of the Lord and Bible literate, loving the Word more, loving the Lord more, and preparing right now, today, for what is and what is to come? Fine. Everyone has that choice.

But as for me, and my house, and this place we are going to pray daily and work daily to serve the Lord. Making the Lord Jesus Christ preeminent — not anything of this fleeting, very temporary world in light of eternity — especially not a solitary nation, nor human politics other than how those politics are part of the accelerating spiritual war every person on earth is engaged in on one side or the other.

Yes, articles and commentaries will continue to appear here discussing political issues, matters, and events. Those only appear here though not to endorse any nation’s government, political system, political ideologies or parties, or any politicians — but to expose how everything that happens happens either for righteousness’ sake to promote the gospel and the kingdom of God or to promote evil and the Evil One’s lies, mayhem, confusion, and eternal death.

Politics, politicians, political parties, political ideologies, politicians, elections — nothing of the world or of any human government offers any real solutions or answers. No election ever could or will. No politician or political party of world government ever can or will.

The answers, the solutions to every question, every yearning, every loss, every gain...EVERYTHING…including every world event taking place can be found in One Source. The only source of absolute Truth, the Way, the Life, and to the Light out of the darkness and confusion — God’s Word. The Holy Bible.

Therefore I will praise you, LORD, among the nations; I will sing the praises of your name.

2 Samuel 22:50

As the spiritual war escalates and with each passing day this world and its people draw closer to the Last Day and the Lord’s Return, as long as God wills, as long as I can, this place will make Christ and Him crucified, and resurrected preeminent. God preeminent, and the Holy Spirit preeminent. The Word of God preeminent.

There isn’t precious time, the blessing of time to spend making worldly matters a priority above the ways, Word, and spiritual matters, the eternal matters of God.

I hope and pray if you find yourself here it doesn’t have a thing to do with America, the nation where you reside, any human government system, any political party, politician, or election, or due to what is perceived as a left vs. right war, and it is understood in all things it’s only and always a spiritual war between God’s rightness, His righteousness and Word, and His chosen people versus Satan’s lies, darkness, mayhem and evil to keep people riled up, fermenting, angry, misled and misinformed as to what really matters, what it’s all really about.

Remove your politicial, this world, my nation, my government, my fleshly life is most important thinking and put on the knowledge that foremost ought to come the love of God, the Lord Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit and all of God’s Word with all your heart, all your spirit, all your soul, all of you.

And then everything else will be better seen and understood, and no matter what may happen realize it’s all good and that God is Sovereign and in control of all things and everything happens for a reason working towards that eternal good of God even if in our feeble, finite minds we can’t see it, hear it, realize it that way.

God has not abandoned His people or this world.

God is working in His people, and even in the evil people in utter darkness.

It’s our primary place and role to trust the Lord, believe the Lord, serve the Lord, know the Lord and His Word as best we can, to love the Lord and know His Word and ways and not to have our hearts and minds so welded to this world.

We’re supposed to be God’s people and as such we ought to look, sound, and live in a manner revealing that to others. So that the Light of God within us is seen by others and they glorify not us, not say how good we are, but that they recognize God the Father, for it is He that is light — not us without Him truly in us.

Let’s individually repent. Sincerely. Revive independently. Truly. And spread the gospel, which is Jesus Christ, as we are instructed. By none other than Jesus Himself, Who we profess to believe in and serve having Him as our Head and we a member of His body.

It’s time, while the Good Lord blesses with time, that each of us got our priorities aligned and right. With God. Not with anything of this world.

The Way of the Righteous and the Wicked

Blessed is the man
who walks not in the counsel of the wicked,
nor stands in the way of sinners,
nor sits in the seat of scoffers;
but his delight is in the law of the LORD,
and on his law he meditates day and night.

He is like a tree
planted by streams of water

The Reign of the LORD’s Anointed

Why do the nations rage
and the peoples plot in vain?
The kings of the earth set themselves,
and the rulers take counsel together,
against the LORD and against his Anointed, saying,
“Let us burst their bonds apart
and cast away their cords from us.”

He who sits in the heavens laughs;
the Lord holds them in derision.
Then he will speak to them in his wrath,
and terrify them in his fury, saying,
“As for me, I have set my King
on Zion, my holy hill.”

The LORD said to me, “You are my Son;
today I have begotten you.
Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage,
