how to keep focused

Yes, I have been very focused on recent events in Israel and our world

A Crooked Path

Yes, I have been very focused on recent events in Israel and our world. It may seem unbalanced. An inordinate amount of material on one subject. It may even seem secular to some. Nothing to do with being a Christian.

How in error it would be to think in such a manner.

Whether anyone wants to believe it, accept it, or not Israel is the center of the world and Jerusalem its heart.

Not according to me.

According to God. According to everything that is in the Holy Bible. Unless you bought one of the Danish Bible Society translations that was published in 2020 and omits Israel in many passages. They also omit the word sin and openly state their Bible translation is for nonreligious people.

Imagine that.

And we’re not living in the Biblical end times? The last of the last days?

Look around. Listen. Inhale deeply. The evil can actually be smelled these days. Seen everywhere. In so many people. Heard everywhere. From so many tongues spewing what is really in their hearts.

Yes, there has been a great focus on what happened in Israel, what is taking place in Israel and the Middle East, and how America and the world are responding. To the best of my feeble ability.

This is NOT an exercise in secularism, or focusing on the world rather than God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, or the Holy Bible — if anyone has read any of the prefaces to the articles posted, or been here for some time and gotten to know me and where I stand, what my priorities are.

I will continue to seek out and publish here what I can find, and how I am led, and keep doing this. Because it all is connected to God’s Word. To the true hearts and minds of men and women. To the working of evil in this world — and the working of God’s righteousness in this raging and escalating spiritual war we’re all in.

It may seem imbalanced and focused too much to you on Israel and current events worldwide but every one of them is directly tied to the Word of God. The hearts and minds of men and the evil within them — or the love and faith of God, of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, and the Word of God in them. Two distinct sides, only two distinct sides in this escalating spiritual war.

In this escalating Middle East and increasingly becoming a world war.

So far, a world war of words and some actions.

The actions and words increasing daily.

This cannot be ignored. If reality and the truth are not your cup of oolong I understand. Most are repulsed and turn as far away from reality and the truth these days as they can.

But, if you can handle it.

This place will remain open and in the business it has been offering now for 12 years, thanks be to the Lord, and Lord willing I will continue.

Primarily to serve Him and to include things spiritual, things Biblical as it ought to be because nothing — nothing that happens anywhere at any time with anyone is devoid of God, the Lord Jesus Christ, or the Holy Spirit. Or the Word of God.

Not when God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit know how many hairs are on every head, They know every thought in every mind all the time. They know and see and hear everything.

So, since God is omnipresent and omniscient and omnipotent — and immutable — it would behoove all of us to be keen on focusing on these events and hold the Word of God, seek the Word of God, weave the Word of God into everything to clear our eyes, our hearts, our minds, our spirits, to truly see, to truly know — and that is only possible through belief, repentance, confessing of sin, and asking the Lord Jesus Christ to be your Saviour and Lord of your life, wherein, the Holy Spirit dwells within and there is finally, truly light and understanding as never before.

For you are a people holy to the Lord your God, and the Lord has chosen you to be a people for his treasured possession, out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth.

Deuteronomy 14:2

Promises to Abram [to become Abraham]

Now the Lord had said to Abram:

“Get out of your country,
From your family
And from your father’s house,
To a land that I will show you.
I will make you a great nation;
I will bless you
And make your name great;
And you shall be a blessing.
I will bless those who bless you,
And I will curse him who curses you;
And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.”

Genesis 12:1-3

See also Joel 2:18, Joel 3:2, Jeremiah 50, and myriad places in the Word of God as to the place Israel holds, Jerusalem holds, and the Jews hold in the heart of the Triune God of the Jewish and Christian Bible — the REAL Jewish and Christian Bible translations, not that Danish Bible Society translation and ones similar.

God made a covenant with the people of Israel. And God never breaks a promise that He makes. Never. Ever. Breaks His promises.

And as Israel is the center of the world, and Jerusalem its heart, and God’s chosen land, the Jews His chosen people, and Jesus was a Jew fully truly a man, and is also fully truly God — and Israel is so vital in the Word of God I will continue.

Lord willing.

As long as the Lord blesses me with breath and a beating heart, which I thank Him for daily, and often every day knowing I have nothing, I am nothing not even a breath, a heartbeat without His will.

Matthew Henry’s Commentary on Deuteronomy 14:2

Commentary on Deuteronomy 14:1-21

(Read Deuteronomy 14:1-21)

Moses tells the people of Israel how God had given them three distinguishing privileges, which were their honour, and figures of those spiritual blessings in heavenly things, with which God has in Christ blessed us. Here is election; “The Lord hath chosen thee.” He did not choose them because they were by their own acts a peculiar people to him above other nations, but he chose them that they might be so by his grace; and thus were believers chosen, Ephesians 1:4.

Here is adoption; “Ye are the children of the Lord your God;” not because God needed children, but because they were orphans, and needed a father. Every spiritual Israelite is indeed a child of God, a partaker of his nature and favour.

Here is sanctification; “Thou art a holy people.” God’s people are required to be holy, and if they are holy, they are indebted to the grace God which makes them so. Those whom God chooses to be his children, he will form to be a holy people, and zealous of good works. They must be careful to avoid every thing which might disgrace their profession, in the sight of those who watch for their halting.

Our heavenly Father forbids nothing but for our welfare. Do thyself no harm; do not ruin thy health, thy reputation, thy domestic comforts, thy peace of mind. Especially do not murder thy soul. Do not be the vile slave of thy appetites and passions. Do not render all around thee miserable, and thyself wretched; but aim at that which is most excellent and useful. The laws which regarded many sorts of flesh as unclean, were to keep them from mingling with their idolatrous neighbours.

It is plain in the gospel, that these laws are now done away. But let us ask our own hearts, Are we of the children of the Lord our God? Are we separate from the ungodly world, in being set apart to God’s glory, the purchase of Christ’s blood? Are we subjects of the work of the Holy Ghost? Lord, teach us from these precepts how pure and holy all thy people ought to live!

And if this is unsettling to you there are over 5,300 other individual articles published here on ACP. Check the archives sometime. But the theme is consistent. And always will be. As long as God Almighty blesses me, Lord willing,  with breath, a beating heart, and the ability to do this.
