German Long-range Taurus missile.
Come on, you know the Germans love nothing more than beer, schnitzel, lederhosen, and a good World War.
You should also know when all the elation and back-slapping subsides that while it is a good thing that Mr. Donald Trump won the American election in a landslide and that he is going to be President. Not God. Not Savior, as I have already heard far too many professed Christians speak of him, though in shrouded tones in their prayers speaking of Mr. Trump more to God, than in thanking, praising, and honoring God. More here than looking to heaven. More emphasis on a nation that will not exist in eternity than emphasis on eternity.
While it is said, and in part true — in part let’s not become deluded — that the American president is the most powerful PERSON on earth, THAT person, no matter who cannot control world events. No matter how adept, how persuasive, no matter how many people voted for him or if both Houses of Congress wear the same party designation after their name.
Poke the bear [Russia, Putin] enough and the bear just may snap and bite harder. Threatened. Escalation not subduing as was intended. The only way to beat an opponent into submission is — TO REALLY BEAT AN OPPONENT INTO SUBMISSION.
It’s the only way true victory is attained.
Know how that’s obtained? Not by playing Pattycake or words. It’s done by bombs, bullets, and spilled blood.
Escalation.
So, let’s not be consumed in elation and being silly, goo goo gaa gaa over the election results, and be mature, rational, aware, critically thinking, sensible people, shall we? Especially to the professed Christian, the true born-again believers.
I know a man who already has J.D. Vance serving two terms after Donald Trump and the next 12 years being Nirvana, Shangrala in America! Blissful! His prayers are consumed with Donald Trump and America. Visions of more than sugarplums and heaven dancing in his head.
Not so fast.
There are more nations, many more people on this fallen earth — ahh, the majority if paying attention — than America and Americans. More than enough to cause all manner of trouble.
How about we all take a deep breath? Be thankful, oh be ever so thankful — for the DAY the Lord has given and blessed U.S. with, but only this day. Take care of today. Live today. Not tomorrow which is impossible, or in the next 12 years in an instant in your mind. For tomorrow has more than enough of its own troubles coming. I read that somewhere. Have you?

World War III Update:
Putin Faces German Ultimatum: End Ukraine War or Face Taurus Missiles

Friedrich Merz, leader of Germany’s Christian Democratic Union (CDU) and candidate for chancellor, recently announced a strong stance on the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict. He pledged to issue an ultimatum to Vladimir Putin if elected.
Merz declared that he would give Russia a 24-hour deadline to cease hostilities. If this demand was ignored, he would push to supply Ukraine with Taurus long-range missiles, which would enable potential strikes within Russian borders.
“Chancellor Scholz has refused to provide Taurus missiles, even as the majority in the Bundestag support it,” Merz said.
“I would allow Kyiv’s government the authority to state: If the bombing of civilians doesn’t stop within 24 hours, range restrictions on available weapons will be lifted, and, if needed, Taurus missiles would follow a week later. This would give Ukraine the opportunity to regain the upper hand,” the chancellor candidate added.
Merz also emphasized the need for Germany to define its national interests more assertively.
“The Americans take a far more direct approach. It’s not about one side winning outright but about finding agreements that benefit both parties. Trump would call it a deal,” he remarked, referencing U.S. President-elect Donald Trump.
Ukraine has long requested Taurus missiles to boost its defense capabilities, including the possibility of targeting sites within Russia. Germany’s current administration, however, has resisted the move, citing fears of escalation.
