“This is a faithful saying…”
“This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief.”
It would go a long way if upon reading the above humbled ourselves and allowed the awareness, the truth of those words to pierce our hearts and compel us to repentance for what the Lord Jesus Christ, God came to earth to take on flesh, did for every person who would come to know Him, believe in Him, obey Him, and make Him Lord of their life for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and each of us is, in truth, before God before our repenting and accepting the free gift of grace, salvation through faith in Jesus and obedience to Him, are chief among sinners.
Oh, we may or may not be murderers, thieves, adulterers, liars [really?], coveting [really?], violent, swindlers, brutal, perverted, and idol worshippers…and the list goes on and on and on…
…but even if none of those [but all have coveted, all have lied if nothing else mentioned] we have fallen short, sinned, and we are chief among sinners — because sin is, well, sin to God. It’s all sin. It all needs to be acknowledged. Confessed to being a sinner, that awareness before God.
Asking humbly for forgiveness and His free gift of grace, of salvation which is only provided through faith in His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.
If paying attention to what has been and is taking place on earth it is my hope and prayer you are aware and paying attention to Bible prophecy. If a believer, a born anew man or woman, a new creature in Christ due to faith in Him and being changed from within the heart and mind — it is a responsibility to watch, listen, know, and understand as best we can as the Holy Spirit measures out to us.
If paying attention to what has been and is taking place on earth it is my hope and prayer you are paying attention to Bible prophecy, if an unbeliever. But then how could you if unbelieving? Oh, perhaps you’ve had your interest perked from a book other than the Holy Bible, perhaps you’re a person who ought to consider a job in a circus as a tightwire walker since performing so well, so long on the fence.
Faith isn’t leaping, or jumping, or done from blindness. The exact opposite of what the world preaches, which is what Satan preaches, and sadly too many have adopted as their gospel.
No, no, no…if fearful? Wondering what’s coming? Why is this happening? What’s going on!?
Turn to God. Turn to Jesus. Turn to the Holy Spirit. Turn to the inerrant infallible unchanging eternal living and active Word of God.
The living part does not mean God changes or His Word changes and can be adapted to fit the pleasures, desires, and words of foolish men and women who desire to remain in the world while also claiming to love the Lord and be his.
Ever seen anyone able to have a cake continually around in the house while all they eat is cake? Impossible to do two things that are incompatible simultaneously. Even though so many claim that they can.
Hummm…
Something stinks, doesn’t it? Oh, maybe it’s lying as mentioned above. Delusion. Pretending. Loving the world more than loving God, more than loving what the Lord Jesus Christ did.
But then, perhaps you don’t really know.
Please, dear one, please seek out a Holy Bible and open it, pray to the Lord to forgive your sin, and to show you what you need to know to begin with. Take the time. Read. In a quiet place if at all possible. Read. Write down notes, things that come to mind. Begin to study the Holy Bible. Deeper and deeper. Holdi its words with you. Meditating on them — thinking deeply about what is read. Each time faithfully asking the Holy Spirit to open God’s Word to you and what you read for the Holy Spirit to measure out spiritual wisdom, spiritual understanding, spiritual discernment.
Then do something actively about it in your life here while the Good Good and Great God bless you with breath and a beating heart, this wonderful life.
Do not hesitate. Nor daddle. Squirm. Hide. Pretend. Keep fighting for balance so as to not fall and die. Do not continue on as you have. God is not fooled or ever deceived. He knows all. Sees all. Knows the true condition of every heart, every mind…
…even knows how many hairs you lost from your head today.
We’re all chief among sinners in the sight of God. All in need of redemption, forgiveness of our sin, salvation, and eternal life — but those only arrive when we repent and humbly submit to the Lord allowing the Holy Spirit in to begin such a good work within you.
