Rowan Williams, former Archbishop of Canterbury

Whoever despises the word brings destruction on himself, but he who reveres the commandment will be rewarded.

Proverbs 13:13 — English Standard Version

Far too many people today think they can alter God’s Word, or that the Bible needs to change in order to suit them, how they think, what they believe — rather than understanding the Word of God is written to change them, not they change the Word of God.

The former archbishop of Canterbury despises the Word of God. Being too judgmental? Whatever happened to discerning wisely? Shedding light on sin? Revealing false teachers and unsound doctrine? When did it become acceptable for those professing to be disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ to prefer to adopt worldly wisdom, worldly ways, worldly practices and abandon the instruction of the Bible for fear of what? Offending those who sin? Upsetting people for telling the truth and exposing unsound doctrine?

Real love is to speak and write the truth, to reprove, to admonish, to chastise those who err from the Word of God and its sound teachings. Why is it now acceptable to remain either silent or side with worldly abomination and sin for those professing with their lips to be Christian?

The professed church is a shambles. The professed church and many of its leaders, pastors, teachers, elders — those entrusted with the great responsibility of shepherding a flock along the right path are nothing more than mouthpieces for Satan. Let’s be open and honest, shall we?

Stop mincing words. Stop fearing telling the truth and exposing sin, calling sin sin, and no matter who it may be if they are espousing false teachings, unsound doctrines? They need to either seek forgiveness and repent of this sin, truly repent — do it no more — and if they refuse to repent and turn back to the Lord then they need to be exposed. Light shed on their darkness. And they need to be removed from any position of leadership, influence over others. And whenever they speak or write something that is opposed to the Word of God this needs to have light shed on it, words spoken about it, words written about it until it is noticed and the false teacher, he or she who is utterly lost and doing the bidding of the devil and not following Christ and the Bible.

This needs to be done by EVERY person who is truly transformed and born anew and knows the truth rather than the lie. Every true Christian. It is our duty to expose sin. To not turn a blind eye or our backs to it, and certainly not to appease or embrace it!

It is a sacred journey to become transgender? Are you kidding!

It’s an abomination before the Lord our God! It is spitting in God’s face. Denying the Word of God. Denying why God sent His only begotten Son to come to this earth to make the greatest sacrifice as the only truly spotless, sinless sacrifice for the sin of man. Anyone who veers from the Word teaches a different gospel, unsound doctrine makes a mockery of Jesus on the cross as to why Jesus was nailed to the cross and gave up His life!

What is wrong with you people? Really.

Does anyone spend any time in the Word of God and understand what it is they are reading? And if not? Then pray for spiritual understanding, pray for the strength and spiritual wisdom to remain to study steadfastly in the Word of God.

“America’s Got Talent” or whatever other dung time is spent on can either wait or be forgotten.

Stop idolizing self and the world and repent, turn back to God, live in the Word and come to know and understand what it was when Jesus died on the cross and was resurrected from the dead. That isn’t just some story. Do you truly know the reason why He had to die as He did and be resurrected as He was? And it wasn’t so you could send your kids on an Easter egg hunt and buy them all kinds of candy and show up in a church one of the two times in a year that you do!

Wake up, repent, and turn to the Lord while He mercifully, graciously, lovingly blesses you with a beating heart and air to breathe. Because eternity is a long time to writhe in pain, gnash one’s teeth in agony beyond comprehension in regret beyond imagination because it was more important to please the world than it is to please and obey the Lord!

Oh, and in case it still isn’t known? Transgenderism is an abomination before the Lord and if a person does not truly repent? Is not truly transformed and renewed in mind and spirit and humble themselves before God and submit and commit to follow and serve Jesus? They’re going to hell. As all unrighteous, indignant, unbelieving, wicked people refusing God, refusing Jesus, refusing the Word of God’s will.

Isn’t it more important to tell the lost, the walking dead in their sin this ruth rather than appeasing them or remaining silent?

And this can be done in a loving as a true Christian, gentle manner. Not be waving a Bible in their face and raising one’s voice with eyes bugging out.

Only 6% of Americans have a “Biblical worldview.”

Yet almost 7 out of 10 Americans claim they are “Christian.”

Bad math. It doesn’t add up. Someone is lying. Someone is not living as they ought.

Less than 10% of those professing to be a Christian read Bibles daily. 30% never open and read a Bible. Ever. Another 30% only open a Bible on Sunday when they show up in a church.

And we wonder why things are as they are?

This is the light of the world?

A bunch of burned-out bulbs, unlit candles, unlearned and ignorant of what is contained within God’s Word?

The Word of God, the actual words God put into select men through the Person of the Holy Spirit is written to change the rebellious, indignant, arrogant, foolish, and disobedient hearts of men and women. Not that those men and women consider themselves greater than God, the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit and can rewrite the Bible to fit their sin and disobedience.

Former Archbishop of Canterbury: “Becoming transgender is a sacred journey”(Video)

8 April 2022

Former Archbishop of Canterbury Rowan Williams has claimed that becoming transgender is “a sacred journey of becoming whole” as he called for the Government to cover gender confusion in its ban on conversion therapy.

Last week, the Government signalled it intended to scrap its proposed ban, but U-turned only a few hours later following backlash from lesbian, homosexual, bisexual, and transgender activists. It agreed to continue with a ‘legislative approach’, but said it would not apply to those experiencing gender confusion.

Lord Williams, who was Archbishop of Canterbury between 2003 and 2012, signed a letter to the Prime Minister written by lesbian, homosexual, bisexual, and transgender activist Steve Chalke. They argued a conversion therapy ban must not be limited to those who identify as lesbian, homosexual, and bisexual, but must also include those who say they are transgender.

‘Sacred journey’

The letter, also signed by a handful of other church ministers, claimed: “To be trans is to enter a sacred journey of becoming whole: precious, honoured and loved, by yourself, by others and by God.

“To allow those discerning this journey to be subject to coercive or undermining practices is to make prayer a means of one person manipulating another. It is a wrong-hearted notion of care and a wrong-headed understanding of conversion. Every church should be a safe space that affirms people in being who they are without fear of judgment.”

Chalke is the author of “The Lost Message of Jesus” which denies that only Christ could take the punishment for our sin, calling such theology “cosmic child abuse”. He told the PA news agency this week that “lives have been lost” and “ruined” by conversion therapy, and said failing to include trans people is “prejudice, discrimination, it’s a disgrace”.

He went on: “We have waited four years around this and we can’t wait any longer. A ban on conversion therapy must be now and it must be a ban for everyone, for all people, for lesbian, homosexual, bisexual and transgender people.”

Sin

The Institute’s Ciarán Kelly said: “It seems remarkable that a former Archbishop should have such a poor understanding of salvation and discipleship.

“Converting to Christ means we stop living for ourselves and start living for God. We must follow the teachings of scripture, not the values of the world. Our lives are an ongoing process of sanctification as we seek, with the Spirit’s help, to be more like Christ.

“The Bible is clear that God created us male and female. It is equally clear that sexual activity is exclusively for marriage, which is only between one man and one woman. To reject these truths is not ‘sacred’ but sinful.

“To reject these truths is not ‘sacred’ but sinful.”

“Jesus said ‘If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me’.

“Faithful Christians seek to flee from sin wherever they identify it in their lives, and instead embrace their new life in Christ. This is the real sacred journey and there are thousands of faithful churches in the U.K. that are full of people, including lesbian, homosexual, bisexual, and transgender people, who are on this journey.”

Let us pray

Last week, other church leaders wrote to Boris Johnson to express “considerable concern” over the Government’s decision not to abandon its proposed conversion therapy ban.

They said the original decision to abandon the legislation was “exactly the right approach”, but asked for “urgent clarification” when the Government announced its U-turn later the same day.

They said: “We are of course pleased to hear that transgender issues are to be left out, which removes the threat of criminalising those seeking to help vulnerable young people on this issue.

“But it remains the case that a poorly-drafted lesbian, homosexual, bisexual only conversion therapy law could still criminalise mainstream Christian teaching and ministry, by making it illegal for us to teach people and help people of every age to live according to the Christian understanding of marriage.”
