ADMINISTRATOR’S NOTE —
From my 63 years of living I have concluded the exact opposite of what people believe, or seek is true. This is never more true or important to know than in matters of faith, Biblical teaching, church leaders, pastors, preachers, and those who influence others.
In our current world around 60 percent of those attending and graduating from seminaries or Bible teaching schools do not believe in the virgin birth, they do not believe in the literal resurrection of Jesus Christ the Lord, they do not believe the miracles, they do not believe the Bible. They attend Bible schools to debate and tear down and tear about Scriptures — not to enter in faith to have the Spirit of God fill them and inform them.
To too many it is merely a job. Like plumber, trash collector, lawyer. The work is easy. Canned sermons. You get a lot of things provided for you. All tax free. This is reality people. And the proof is in the great falling away, the massive apostasy, the always increasing number of false teachers and the spreading of unsound doctrine.
Teachers of God’s Word do not need to be snappy dressers. Always soothing and quiet of voice. Melodic. Stand-up comedians. They don’t need to have snappy opening stories and illustrations to sermons to keep people awake. And the greater majority of these in our time are spiritually dead people. Why we have avowed lesbians and homosexuals now in the ministry of flocks of so-called professed “Christians!” How blind and errant and foolish and sinful can we become? How far from the Word of god can we go while still pretending we’re “playing church” and we’re “good people” and “going to heaven?”
Know the only thing a preacher, a person of God, a teacher of the Word needs?
THEY NEED THE SPIRIT OF GOD WITHIN THEM AND TO BE TRUE TO THE INERRANT WORD OF GOD!
Period.
They might look funny. They might seem disgusting to you. They might not talk well. They might be the least humorous person on earth. They might even literally smell. You think the apostles were showering daily and using Axe, or Dove, or Irish Spring and always wearing a fresh robe!?
THEY HAD THE SPIRIT OF GOD WORKING WITHIN THEM TO BE TRUE TO THE INERRANT WORD OF GOD! Period.
But that’s not what people want. They only gravitate to that which please them. Which entertains them. Makes them feel good.
And because of this too many are going to have very unpleasant, uncomfortable, “I don’t feel good at all!” eternities.

The Path of A Good Soldier
by Pastor Paul M. Sadler
“Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.” — II Timothy 2:1-2
If we were to ask the average Christian to write down what they expect in a spiritual leader the list would probably read something like this: A man of God must have completed college and seminary. He should be eloquent and be able to articulate his thoughts well, enthusiastic, insightful, creative, and have a good sense of humor. In addition, he should not have too many shortcomings, and be well dressed.
Interestingly, just the opposite was true of the spiritual leaders found in the Scriptures. Most of the giants of the faith in biblical times were unlearned and ignorant men by the world’s standard. The Bible is a who’s who of shortcomings: Noah’s drunkenness, Moses’ speech impediment, David’s adulterous ways, Peter’s denials, Paul’s repulsive appearance, etc. Nevertheless, God used these souls mightily to the pulling down of strongholds. As it has been said, “God took a handful of nobodies and made somebodies in His sight.”
While we are an advocate of higher education, intellectualism is not a prerequisite to be used of the Lord. God has accomplished great things through those who merely had a willing heart. Timothy, for example, wasn’t educated at the Ivy League Schools of Jerusalem, nonetheless, God chose him to carry the torch of grace after Paul’s martyrdom.
