Takin’ Out the Trash

Ken Pullen  –  copyright 2011
Scripture appears in Italics from the King James Version

All the day and night long
constant rubbing
O watch the mass thrash
movement in deadness
like lifeless dried blood
somehow pushed
in capillaries,veins
every artery
by a hot,dry breath
ahh, it is the breath
of death!

And God saw
that the wickedness of man
was great in the earth,
and that every imagination of the thoughts
of his heart
was only evil
continually.
And it repented the Lord
that He had made man on the earth,
and it grieved Him at His heart.

Clinging to a dried route
lives lead rote upon rote
singing the same note
off key
refusing to see
whistling a meaningless ditty
isn’t it a pity
they never have the words
needed to create a  memorable song
misspent energy
in a bottle tightly capped
discarded
comin’ soon
takin’ out the trash

The earth
also was corrupt
before God,
and the earth was filled with violence.
And God looked upon the earth,
and,
behold,
it was corrupt;
for all flesh had corrupted his way
upon the earth.

Most everyone I know
sees greatness in the throng
conflict of interest
to say the least
for I contend most have it all wrong
few will be invited to the marriage feast
most I see
know
hear
where I’ve been
always
always
always
only
elevating each other
themselves
no mention of God the Creator
except to mock, ridicule, scoff, or laugh in disdain
the masses writhe in cacophonous refrain
while without much thought
in a flash
easily turning on their brother
mother
one another
yet
they
say
like a talking ATM
“People are so great and good.”
As they obey their dark master
in this lying misnamed new age

There shall not be found
among you
any one
that maketh his son
or his daughter
to pass through the fire,
or that useth divination,
or an observer of times,
or an enchanter,
or a witch,
Or a charmer,
or a consulter with familiar spirits,
or a wizard,
or a necromancer.
For all that do these things
are an abomination
unto the Lord:
and because of these abominations
the Lord thy God
doth drive them out
from
before thee.

 Men making men
great before each other in their sight
blind to the Truth of God
and His Word
their every thought, imagination, deed
abomination
upon abomination
all throughout this decaying
sin consumed nation
claiming they are the creators
proclaiming God is dead
then not even dead
merely a myth
O woe to them
speaking
thinking
living in such darkness
as the chains of death
clang with their every movement
proclaiming Scripture is not true
professing their vain words are enough
will do
they speak of how great life here will be
in a 1,000 years
as this earth created of God groans
sheds its tears
at the conceit of man
proclaiming there shall not be
as written their ultimate defeat
they shall never bow
at the feet
of God
upon the throne
on and on their lies
on and on
they drone

Who are men to make such ignorant
proclamations?
If Renoir
Rembrandt
Da Vinci
grabbed hold in wrath
of that paint-by-number
abomination someone you know spent
a portion of one night working on
as the artists
tossed the lifeless dead canvas into the fire
would you rebel?
Yell?
tell them they have no right
scream at them
“Go to hell!”
“What do you three know?”
Though in their sight
those efforts were in vain
wasted colors
rubbed in shallow dimension
lifeless
misspent effort
vanity
true profanity
no light springing forth from the palette
causing them nothing but disdain
and pain
as they had to look upon
someone
believing that through
such
dead lifeless mindless strokes
they had achieved any greatness
could consider
their creation
should hang alongside
the Creators
not accepting the truth
refusing all judgment
the masses do churn and thrash
comin’ soon
takin’ out the trash

And I saw heaven opened,
and behold a white horse;
and he that sat upon him [was] called Faithful and True,
and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.
His eyes [were] as a flame of fire,
and on his head [were] many crowns;
and he had a name written,
that no man knew, but he himself.
And he [was] clothed with a vesture dipped in blood:
and his name is called The Word of God.
And the armies
 [which were] in heaven
 followed him upon white horses,
clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword,
that with it he should smite the nations:
and he shall rule them with a rod of iron:
and he treadeth the winepress
of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
And he hath on [his] vesture
and on his thigh
a name written,
 KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
And I saw an angel standing in the sun;
and he cried with a loud voice,
saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven,
Come and gather yourselves together
unto the supper of the great God;
That ye may eat the flesh of kings,
 and the flesh of captains,
and the flesh of mighty men,
 and the flesh of horses,
and of them that sit on them,
and the flesh of all [men, both] free and bond,
both small and great.
And I saw the beast,
and the kings of the earth,
and their armies,
gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse,
and against his army.
And the beast was taken,
 and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him,
with which he deceived them
that had received the mark of the beast,
and them that worshipped his image.
These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.
And the remnant were slain
 with the sword of him that sat upon the horse,
which [sword] proceeded out of his mouth:
and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth:
for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away;
and there was no more sea.
And I John saw the holy city,
new Jerusalem,
coming down from God out of heaven,
 prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
And I heard a great voice
out of heaven saying,
Behold,
 the tabernacle of God [is] with men,
and he will dwell with them,
and they shall be his people,
and God himself shall be with them,
[and be] their God.
And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes;
 and there shall be no more death,
neither sorrow,
nor crying,
neither shall there be any more pain:
for the former things are passed away.
And he that sat upon the throne said,
Behold,
I make all things new.
And he said unto me,
 Write:
for these words are true and faithful.
And he said unto me,
 It is done.
 I am Alpha and Omega,
the beginning and the end.
I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
He that overcometh shall inherit all things;
and I will be his God,
and he shall be my son.
But the fearful,
and unbelieving,
and the abominable,
and murderers,
and whoremongers,
 and sorcerers,
and idolaters,
and all liars,
shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone:
which is the second death.
And there came unto me one of the seven angels
 which had the seven vials
 full of the seven last plagues,
and talked with me,
saying,
Come hither,
I will shew thee the bride,
 the Lamb’s wife.
And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain,
and shewed me that great city,
the holy Jerusalem,
descending out of heaven from God,
Having the glory of God:
and her light [was] like unto a stone most precious,
even like a jasper stone,
clear as crystal;
And had a wall great and high,
 [and] had twelve gates,
 and at the gates twelve angels,
 and names written thereon,
which are [the names] of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:
On the east three gates;
on the north three gates;
on the south three gates;
and on the west three gates.
 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations,
and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city,
and the gates thereof,
and the wall thereof.
And the city lieth foursquare,
and the length is as large as the breadth
 and he measured the city with the reed,
twelve thousand furlongs.
The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal.
And he measured the wall thereof,
an hundred [and] forty [and] four cubits,
[according to] the measure of a man,
that is,
of the angel.
And the building of the wall of it was [of] jasper:
 and the city [was] pure gold,
like unto clear glass.
And the foundations
of the wall of the city
 [were] garnished with all manner of precious stones.
The first foundation [was] jasper;
 the second, sapphire;
the third, a chalcedony;
the fourth, an emerald;
The fifth, sardonyx;
the sixth, sardius;
the seventh, chrysolite;
the eighth, beryl;
the ninth, a topaz;
the tenth, a chrysoprasus;
the eleventh, a jacinth;
the twelfth, an amethyst.
And the twelve gates [were] twelve pearls;
every several gate was of one pearl:
and the street of the city [was] pure gold,
 as it were transparent glass.
And I saw no temple therein:
 for the Lord God Almighty
and the Lamb are the temple of it.
And the city had no need of the sun,
neither of the moon, to shine in it:
for the glory of God did lighten it,
and the Lamb [is] the light thereof.
And the nations of them which are saved
shall walk in the light of it:
and the kings of the earth do bring their glory
 and honour into it.
And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day:
for there shall be no night there.
And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it.
And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth,
neither [whatsoever] worketh abomination,
or [maketh] a lie:
but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.

I live
because
the Lord
Yeshua came
lived
died
arose
I live
because God
had the will
breathed life
and I am
now here
living
while
 longing
for Christ’s return
with the Sword of the Word of God
flaming from His mouth
at last
at last
at last
takin’ out the trash
I long to live
eat of the Tree of Life
in New Jerusalem
for ever
and ever
Amen.
