And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.

And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Revelation 12:9-11 — King James Version Holy Bible

Satan is not only the great accuser, blabbermouth looking to get everyone into trouble — Satan is also the worlds greatest impersonator which leads all individuals since Eve and Adam into temptation, into evil, for Satan is that self same voice within the mind saying in one form or other, to one and all continually, “Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be gods, knowing good and evil” (Genesis 3:4-5).

And Satan has appeared as the sound of one’s own voice within their head, their conscious mind which sets man and woman aside and also clearly demonstrates we did not evolve from single celled pond scum, into sea creatures longing to breath air, onto land to eventually become ape then man as the deceived world deludes themselves into believing, but this is for other articles (which many appear here on ACP through the years).  Satan is the voice within leading each person on earth away from God and into temptation and evil. Because it is our nature to hear him, listen to him just as Eve did in the Garden a few years back.

Satan impersonates our inner voice telling us repeatedly, in certain words depending on the occasion, “Go ahead, you’re a god yourself, YOU know YOU, YOU know what’s best, YOU deserve THIS, it’s only one little thing so what? No big deal! This surely won’t kill me, or condemn me to hell!”

And Satan has done such great and successful work in the minds of men and women he now has a large number of clergy, a growing number of clergy espousing from pulpits, writing in books, talking on the radio and TV how there is no hell. How every belief is legitimized and all people go to heaven. How if you pray for wealth and material things God wants you to have them and will give them to you — especially if you keep contributing those dollars to MY MEGACHURCH! Oh, there is nothing wrong with having a practicing homosexual as your pastor, don’t you believe God is love? What’s wrong with you to stand in judgment since the Bible says do not judge!?

And on and on and on and on it goes.

And the saddest part of all this?

Every thought of every person is also known and heard by God and oh, how we must grieve and sadden the Lord our God by what we hear and listen to within our hearts and minds as we turn from His voice to heed that of the devil! Oh, how we must grieve the Lord!

It has gotten so horrific, so lost, so muddled, so out of touch with reality and the truth that now when a person commits a heinous crime they claim, “I was hearing voices!” in an attempt to get off Scot free by being sent to a psychiatric hospital rather than an austere prison to serve out the sentence for their crimes.

Of course they were hearing voices! The conscious mind, their own conscious mind speaking to them just as a man, or woman might hear within their own heads, “Did I miss the road sign? Have I driven to far?”

Only the voice within the mind of the evil person, we have come to label ‘psychologically unstable’  is telling them to commit horrendous acts, which they carry out.

The voice within each persons head.

Is it speaking to us to turn from this world? To mortify sin? To convict us that we are sinners in need of forgiveness and salvation? That what is taking place in the world increasing is so wrong, so dead wrong and getting worse? That we need to pray in earnest? That we should be going to and opening the inerrant Word of God to HEAR God’s VOICE?

Or is it speaking to us that what we’re doing is okay. We’re not so bad. In fact, we’re gods ourselves and our seeking pleasures, turning from God, relying upon ourselves, doing what we want for after all it’s a free country isn’t it!? That there is no sin. That all that sin and evil stuff is antiquated and based on ancient principals which no longer apply! That we should trust ourselves? We aren’t weak! We are strong! We know what we’re doing! THAT my dear ones is the voice of Satan doing a perfect imitation of the voice of your own conscience.

Do we recognize this and yell at the devil to flee! Get thee behind me Satan in the name of Jesus Christ the Lord, the Son of God!

Or do we listen to and fall prey, believing the voice of the devil within our minds? Do we permit the devil to enslave us? Capture us? Lead us into temptation and sin and evil turning from God? To deny God and Christ. To deny the inerrant living Holy Bible? To corrupt and pervert the Holy Bible making it fit the world view, our worldly evil philosophies instead of us fitting and following it? Do we listen to the voice of eternal death which sounds like our own lying to us continually? Do we rebel from that voice or do we continue to listen to the devil imitate our voice within leading us to further sin and rebellion against the Lord our God and what the Scriptures instruct us?

Do we fall upon our knees, fall prone, look heavenward and ask sincerely for God in His infinite mercy, love, and grace to bestow upon us the Holy Spirit and may we hear His voice within our minds, within our hearts, may we instead of continuing to fall prey to the great imitator and deceiver, the great accuser — may we instead listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit, the voice of the living, risen Lord residing within us leading us from temptation and evil, mortifying sin, and submitting to God knowing the eternal consequences if we do not?

Life is a series of choices.

A cacophony of voices.

Which do each of us hear and heed?

If we profess to be a true believer, a disciple of Jesus Christ’s let us then contend to have Satan begin to accuse us less and less before the Lord our God and that we place our trust in God and the Holy Spirit to defeat the voice of temptation and evil within each of us, not allowing the devil to accuse us before the Lord as much as he currently does.

Can we be without sin while in the flesh in this realm, this world? No, we cannot be.

But we do not need to then surrender to temptation and evil, tossing our hands up saying something akin to “if you can’t beat them join them!” and becoming one of the tens of millions of lost, fallen, apostate professing with their lips one thing but in their hearts and minds doing another.

Life is a series of choices.

A cacophony of voices.

Which do each of us hear and heed?
