No Accommodation

Are you an accommodating person?

Beloved, I urge you as sojourners and exiles to abstain from the passions of the flesh, which wage war against your soul. Keep your conduct among the Gentiles honorable, so that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day of visitation.

Do you make accommodations for modern-day worldly teachings in your life? Your speech? Your behavior? Are you among the majority who now think the Holy Bible is just a book of manmade fables, myths, and moral instruction and not the inerrant God-breathed Word of God given to select men?

Do you make accommodations because you fear offending someone? Or you don’t want to stand out as being different?

If so, you may be a friend of the world but are an enemy of God, an enemy of the Lord Jesus Christ, an enemy of the Holy Spirit, and an enemy of the inerrant living Word of God.

A true disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ, a true child of God, a Christian can not accommodate sin, evil, or the teachings of the world. Replacing or denying the truth of the Holy Bible in order to fit in, appease, placate, get along, and every other excuse under the sun.

It is all either-or. Either believe and obey the whole Word of God or else you’re accommodating the evil pagan world which is the dominion of that Old Dragon the devil for a season.

And when the Evil One’s season is up, along with all his ministers appearing like angels of light and you are before the Lord, what then? What do you imagine you’ll be able to say in your defense as to why you said with your lips you were His, but in your heart and by the fruit you bore proved to be the worlds?

There is NO ACCOMMODATING of sin and evil. None. Not an inch. Not one bit.

Not according to sinning daily while living daily to increase in spiritual wisdom and obedience to the Lord our God me!

No, according to God. According to the Holy Bible.

There is no gray area. No “get out of judgment” card. This is not a board game. No one can play the role of having their cake and eating it too. No one can be friends with the world and also a true child of God.

No accommodation for sin or evil.

It is NOT loving to accommodate sexual perversions and abominations as clearly known by reading the Bible.

It is NOT being Christ-like to accommodate any sin in order to be accepted, liked, not rock the boat, or get along.

There cannot be any accommodation of sin.

We’re at war folks. The greatest most important of wars ever. The spiritual war. And to accommodate sin is to aid and abet the Enemy! To be a traitor to the Lord our God, to deny the inerrant Word of God and replace it with the lies, deception, and delusion of the words of men and women.

There cannot be any acceptance, no accommodation of sin.

To do so allows spiritual disease, and spiritual illness to enter and erode and debilitate.

There cannot be any accommodation of sin. And this is what is done mostly by so many professing to be Christan with their lips while by their deeds they reveal their love of this world and constant desire to make provision for, accommodate sin and evil.

Do not be deceived.

Each person either truly is a disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ, a child of God, or they are not.

There is no halfway. No part-timers. No selecting as if living off a menu.

Either a true child of God — or a child of disobedience.

Either one of God’s people — or one of Satan’s enslaved.

There cannot be any accommodation for sin or evil.

Here’s a word long forgotten, tragically, that needs reviving…

MORTIFY sin!

Mortify sin and make no accommodation for it!
