If the foundations be destroyed…

by Ken Pullen; but not possible without the Word of God and guiding of the Holy Spirit

If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?

Psalm 11: 3

They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness; all the foundations of the earth are out of course.

Psalm 82: 5

To seek wisdom; to seek knowledge; to seek understanding; to seek discernment of the Lord’s will and Word relying faithfully upon the Holy Spirit to instruct, guide, reprove, hone, and raise us up closer to the Lord’s righteousness while being distanced from this world is what we all must devote ourselves to in these times. None is so wise they do not need to turn daily to the Lord for strength and increase in understanding, for to forsake the instruction of the Lord is like a log having the ability to think on its own it can make the heat of fire, forgetting the spark of light needed to truly kindle and build a fire.

The Chinese have a saying many reading this may be familiar with; “May you live in interesting times.” What some aware of that saying may not know is it is actually a Chinese curse. Think about it.

That is the crux, the key. Thinking about things. Taking the time to meditate upon the Word of God daily through due diligence of study. In context. Asking the Lord for discernment.

Sadly, in the interesting times in which we live too many ask amiss and then condemn Jehovah Elyon for not bestowing on them all their earthly desires. Think about that.

Contrary to the wolves in sheep’s clothing spreading false teachings and gaining followers by the day, there is nothing – not a word in the Word of God that instructs us that if we want something of this world we should just ask God for it and expect it to be delivered. There is much perversion and corruption of the pure, true word of God and this is one of the most abominable in our interesting times. Yet it is a growing movement with hundreds of millions following it to their death.

We are instructed to place our trust in the Lord in all things. To seek Him and increase in spiritual abundance and life and all else will be provided by His measure as we need.

“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you; For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.”

Matthew 7: 7-8

If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, who giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not, and it shall be given him.

James 1: 5

Is the Lord speaking of homes, cars, clothing, gold rings, and widescreen TV’s here? Hardly! And yet the corrupting of our Lord’s words and the perverting of Scripture has many misled. If we are maturing spiritual people we come to the Lord in prayer seeking the greatest gifts we could possibly ever have; the Lord’s wisdom; the Lord’s understanding; the Lord’s knowledge; the gift of discernment.

Some trust in chariots, and some trust in horses; but we will remember the name of the Lord our God.

Psalm 20: 7

In these interesting times when…

“If the foundations be destroyed…”

We are to be children of God but not ignorant. Not misled. We are to be workmen approved, growing mature daily in the ways of the Lord. How is this done? By going to a dead church, or even one where the Holy Spirit is present on Sunday’s and then returning to the world the other six days? Giving no time to the Lord, or speaking, thinking, and asking amiss as we go about our time here given to us by God?

As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the Lord is tried: he is a shield to all them that trust in him.

2 Samuel 22: 31

The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

Psalm 18: 2

Do we place our trust in God? Or in men and women of this world? In governments? In institutions? Or in religious denominations, all created by the hand and will of man? Or in preachers, pastors, ministers, priests the majority of which have been reared in places called seminaries and theological schools whose main objective in our times is to contest, to combat, to disprove and not accept the complete, true Word of God? To whom and in what do we place our trust?

In whom is the only place where salvation can be found? Where each breath in our lungs can be given to us?

In men? In anything of this world?

Let us become consumed in the Word of God. In seeking to increase in understanding, wisdom, knowledge, and discernment of the Lord’s will and the Lord’s Word. Relying upon and trusting in Him, in His Spirit, which He does not hold back to those of pure heart and spiritual love seeking Him, believing Him fully, trusting Him completely, not denying one jot or title of His Holy Scripture.

The foundations of everything we have known, everything preceding us are being destroyed.

The foundations our nation was built upon.

The foundations of the family.

The foundations of law.

The foundations of morals required to maintain a civilized and functioning society.

And this is all due to the foundations in the belief and following of the complete, true, living  Word of God being perverted and cast aside. To make way for the ways of man as they have no time for God, or cannot accept the Truth of God’s Word and are led to corrupt and pervert it to please them.

The foundations are surely being destroyed. Will we each be prepared and equipped for the interesting days in which we live? Will we walk on the true path of righteousness or be swept up in the storm of lies and false teachings? Following this world, following and serving the prince of this earth instead of the Lord our God, Jehovah Elyon, and Yeshua, the Christ our Lord?

Only in gaining spiritual maturity, in gaining the wisdom of God over the wisdom of this world can we fortify and secure the Living Foundation providing life and protecting us.

We each chose. We each will be held accountable. None will have excuse.

Look, listen, see, hear…as the foundations at every turn are being destroyed and the earth is off its course.

PSALM 8

To the chief Musician upon Gittith, A Psalm of David.

1 O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens.

2 Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger.

3 When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;

4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?

5 For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.

6 Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet:

7 All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field;

8 The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas.

9 O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!

PSALM 11

To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.

1 In the LORD put I my trust: how say ye to my soul, Flee as a bird to your mountain?

2 For, lo, the wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may privily shoot at the upright in heart.

3 If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?

4 The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD’S throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.

5 The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.

6 Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup.

7 For the righteous LORD loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright.

PSALM 12

To the chief Musician upon Sheminith, A Psalm of David.

1 Help, LORD; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men.

2 They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak.

3 The LORD shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things:

4 Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us?

5 For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the LORD; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him.

6 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.

7 Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.

8 The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted.
