It would be prudent, proper, and productive to fervently, humbly, faithfully pray for Speaker of the House Mike Johnson — because he has already been under attack and those attacks are increasing.

These attacks are not political in nature as reported if paying attention to what is being said and written. No, these attacks are from:

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints

Ephesians 6:10-18

All individuals placed in positions of high office, great authority, and power on earth, all leaders are ordained by God. Be they awful, terrible, destructive rulers, kings, and leaders as we have many examples in the whole Word of God — given to the people for their disobedience, their rebellion, getting what they asked for and needed at the time even though many lack the wisdom and discernment to understand this, possessing a worldview devoid of being born anew and coming from the darkness that is the world’s understanding and only form of sight, which in reality is blindness as they remove God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit and the Holy Bible from their reasoning therefore revealing they have no valid reasoning.

Or, conversely, be they good leaders and officials put into high offices and positions of authority and ruling on earth — by God to hopefully have the people, at least some people, come out from the darkness and begin to see there is nothing — nothing — without a clear, constant, consistent turning to God and having utter faith in Him, in Christ, in the Holy Spirit, and in all of the inerrant infallible active and living Word of God.

Especially in such times as we find ourselves in, especially in Biblical times as the ones we’re living daily.

No disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ, no true Christian ought to ever apologize for having a Biblical worldview rather than a view of the world the overwhelming majority do.

Newly-elected House Speaker Mike Johnson, a Republican from Louisiana, emphasized the influence of his Christian faith on his worldview during an interview with Sean Hannity.

To understand his worldview, Johnson told Fox News host Sean Hannity that people can sipmly “go pick up a Bible off your shelf and read it.”

Johnson brought his Bible with him for his first speech as Speaker and expressed his belief that all members of Congress are called by God to serve the American people.

“Someone asked me today in the media, ‘People are curious, what does Mike Johnson think about any issue?’ I said, ‘Well, go pick up a Bible off your shelf and read it. That’s my worldview.”

“Someone asked me today in the media, they said, ‘It’s curious, people are curious. What does Mike Johnson think about any issue under the sun?’” Johnson told Hannity.

“I said, ‘Well, go pick up a Bible off your shelf and read it – that’s my worldview.’ That’s what I believe and so I make no apologies for it,” he said.

“That’s your personal worldview,” Hannity pressed, and Johnson confirmed: “That’s my personal worldview.”

Johnson’s faith and reliance on prayer were highlighted by his fellow Republican, Rep. Greg Steube.

Rep. Greg Steube (R-FL) said, “In January, Congressman Mike Johnson joined me on the House floor while we were in a deadlock over who our next Speaker would be.”

“We lifted up the speaker’s race to the Lord and asked for his divine guidance. Immediately after the prayer, 14 members changed their votes, ultimately leading to Speaker McCarthy securing the gavel by the end of the day.”

“Mike Johnson is a strong conservative, but above all else, he is a strong Christian. He’s not afraid to look to his faith for guidance. America needs that more than ever in the U.S. House,” he added.
