How did we get to the place where…?”

A CROOKED PATH

“Claiming to be wise, they became fools…”

How did we get to the place in America where we determined that the premeditated murder of children, akin to sacrificing children to Baal, to Moloch, and the sexual perversities, sexual abnormalities, and abomination of homosexuality and transgendersim were RIGHTS granted by the U.S. Constitution? Actually elevating and placing those grievous sins and detestable to the Lord acts above the traditional family, above marriage as ordained by God and considered in the founding documents of America, when the premeditated murder of a child in the womb, and the sexually perverted and immoral acts of homosexuality, bisexuality, and transgenderism were as alien to the Founders, mostly godly men, not Deists as the liars of the world attest.

Or that Christian prayer — while prayers in the name of Satan are permitted — the reading to the Holy Bible, expressions of faith [which are rights granted by the U.S. Constituion] are verboten in schools, in government offices and agencies, on sporting fields, on town squares and public places? In city council meetings? In classrooms? While every evil under the sun is promoted, expressed, and pressed into the hearts and minds of children and adults?

To reach the point in our spiritual decline, not unlike example upon example in the Word of God of the spiritual decline and disobedience of the Israelites and the consequences they paid for their rebellion, their sin, and their turning from the ways of the Lord.

Simple, actually. The love of the evil and darkness of the world over the rightness light and ways of God.

The craving, the lust for every evil under the sun making the laws which have not been abandoned or cast aside, what is right in the sight of God lawlessness. Replacing good with evil. Sweet with bitter. Life and true prosperity with death and the poverty of the spirit.

We are where we presently are as a result of our being haters of God, deniers, and haters of the Lord Jesus Christ, haters, and deniers of the Holy Spirit, haters and corrupters of the inerrant living Word of God.

By being lovers of self, pleasure, lies, and evil.

Cut through the endless words spoken, the lies aired, put on paper or in digital form, cut through all the noise and dung and come to see and know the very simple reality of how it is, why it is we have come to the place we presently reside.

…so that you may charge certain persons not to teach any different doctrine, nor to devote themselves to myths and endless genealogies, which promote speculations rather than the stewardship from God that is by faith. The aim of our charge is love that issues from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith. Certain persons, by swerving from these, have wandered away into vain discussion, desiring to be teachers of the law, without understanding either what they are saying or the things about which they make confident assertions.

Now we know that the law is good, if one uses it lawfully, understanding this, that the law is not laid down for the just but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who strike their fathers and mothers, for murderers, the sexually immoral, men who practice homosexuality, enslavers, liars, perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound doctrine, in accordance with the gospel of the glory of the blessed God with which I have been entrusted.

1 Timothy 1:3b-11 — English Standard Version

The saying is trustworthy, for:

If we have died with him, we will also live with him;
if we endure, we will also reign with him;
if we deny him, he also will deny us;
if we are faithless, he remains faithful—

for he cannot deny himself.

A Worker Approved by God

Remind them of these things, and charge them before God not to quarrel about words, which does no good, but only ruins the hearers. Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth. But avoid irreverent babble, for it will lead people into more and more ungodliness, and their talk will spread like gangrene.

2 Timothy 2:11-17 — English Standard Version

Godlessness in the Last Days

But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people. For among them are those who creep into households and capture weak women, burdened with sins and led astray by various passions, always learning and never able to arrive at a knowledge of the truth. Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so these men also oppose the truth, men corrupted in mind and disqualified regarding the faith. But they will not get very far, for their folly will be plain to all, as was that of those two men.

2 Timothy 3:1-9 — English Standard Version

Preach the Word

I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who is to judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom: preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching. For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths. As for you, always be sober-minded, endure suffering, do the work of an evangelist*, fulfill your ministry.

2 Timothy 4:1-5 — English Standard Version

*evangelist as it once meant, not as the corrupted and perverted by men have come to define and alter it for their evil gain, pleasure, and love of the world over the love of God.

“Behold, the days are coming,” declares the Lord GOD,
“when I will send a famine on the land—
not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water,
but of hearing the words of the LORD.
They shall wander from sea to sea,
and from north to east;
they shall run to and fro, to seek the word of the LORD,
but they shall not find it. In that day the lovely virgins and the young men
shall faint for thirst.”

Amos 8:11-13 — English Standard Version

The Righteous Shall Live by Faith

For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith, as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith.”

God’s Wrath on Unrighteousness

For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. For what can be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. For his invisible attributes, namely, his eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly perceived, ever since the creation of the world,g in the things that have been made. So they are without excuse. For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images resembling mortal man and birds and animals and creeping things.

Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen.

For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error.

And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a debased mind to do what ought not to be done. They were filled with all manner of unrighteousness, evil, covetousness, malice. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, maliciousness. They are gossips, slanderers, haters of God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents, foolish, faithless, heartless, ruthless. Though they know God’s righteous decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them.

Romans 1:16-32 — English Standard Version

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

2 Chronicles 7:14 — King James Version

Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

Isaiah 5:20 — King James Version

Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him.

John 3:36 —English Standard Version

How did we arrive at the place we now inhabit? Simple, really, we openly, blatantly, ignorantly, foolishly turned from God, turned from Christ, turned from the Holy Spirit, turned from the inerrant and living Word of God to the love of darkness, the love of evil, the love of self, the love of lies. Not difficult to see, hear or know, really. All one needs to do is come out from being darkness and into the light to finally be able to see, to hear, to know.
