O Lord, I fall, I fail, I struggle when dwelling in the places of this earth
for
if
attempting to live placing I first
steps on the path to destruction
my feet surely find
To hear this worlds ways are nothing but dearth
of life
ways of this earth
lead to death
no
eternal life
with Thee
To seek Thee, to obey Thee, to thirst after Thy Living Waters
are life
shalom
hope
in trust
deep beyond measure
trust
in Thee
Hear my prayer, O Lord, give ear to my supplications: in thy faithfulness answer me, and in thy righteousness:
for I am thy servant.
And enter not into judgment with thy servant:
for in thy sight shall no man living be justified.
Only through Thy grace
turning to, seeking Thy face
in this desolate of spirit, of truth
place
Only through Thy Word
Thou art the Word
Only through Thee
by Thy grace
Thy mercy
our trust placed on Thee
living by the complete Word
obeying God
rather than men
only through Thy shed blood
Thy resurrection
justified
justified
justified
For the enemy hath persecuted my soul; he hath smitten my life down to the ground;
he hath made me to dwell in darkness,
as those that have been long dead.
Therefore
is my spirit overwhelmed
within me;
my heart
within me
is desolate.
I remember my awe of creation
wrought by Thy will, Thy words
“Let there be…”
Thou art in all I see, behold
As foolish men make themselves
more foolish still in their bold
musings
in error
I turn to Thee
Thy Word I read and meditate upon
to truly see
brought from darkness
vanity
into the light
even at times deep into the night
I remember the days of old;
I meditate on thy works;
I muse on the work of thy hands.
I stretch forth my hands unto thee:
my soul thirsteth after thee,
as a thirsty land. Selah.
Hear me speedily, O Lord:
my spirit faileth:
hide not thy face from me, lest I be like unto them
that go down into the pit.
In wearing, warring
Days
frayed, torn, tossed
if I permit this world to enter into
the place where Thou ought to be
make mine eyes
my heart
my spirit
my soul
to see
Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness
in the morning;
for in thee do I trust:
cause me to know the way
wherein I should walk;
for I lift up my soul unto thee.
Deliver me, O Lord,
from mine enemies:
I flee
unto thee
to hide me.
Teach me to do thy will;
Not my will be done
rather Thy will be done
always
in all ways
all things
the remainder of my days
in this sinful flesh
among this woeful lost world
at every turn
every place
in almost every lost
dead face
enemies of the Truth
enemies of Thy Living Truth
twisting
perverting
corrupting
Thy Truth
Thy Word
with the corrupted philosophies of man
enemies without
enemies within
apostasy at every turn
the masses refuse to learn
their constant disbelief
apostasy
self-will
self-elevation
self-worship
earth worship
idol worship
their constant refrain
O Lord, one day coming soon
they will know the meaning
of true pain
of Truth
Thy Truth
for which now they have nothing
but disdain!
Teach me to do thy will;
for thou art my God:
thy Spirit is good;
lead me into the land of uprightness.
Quicken me,
O Lord,
for thy name’s sake:
for thy righteousness’ sake
bring my soul out of trouble.
and of thy mercy
cut off mine enemies,
And destroy
all of them that afflict my soul:
for I am thy servant.
