Have you ever?

Have you ever been angry with someone? Ever messed up, or made a mistake during your lifetime? Held a grudge, carried anger into more than the next few minutes? Ended a relationship, a friendship due to great differences?

Ever done any of those things? Ever?

Ever then become reconciled after the fact?

With what had transpired previously occasionally creeping back into memory, a wee bit cautious after having been bitten, a gulf created earlier between someone and yourself? Just being human?

Or, have you allowed such disagreements, differences, animosity, rebellion, anger and rage, bitterness, and lack of a forgiving nature to keep reconciliation from ever occurring? Justifying self while casting judgment upon the one who you refuse to forgive, to reconcile with?

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.

2 Corinthians 5:17-19

2 Corinthians 5

John 3:36

What God has done and continues to do, what God coming to earth in the form of the Lord Jesus Christ has done and continues to do resurrected from death and at the right hand of God, what the Holy Spirit has done and continues to do here on earth, what the inerrant infallible unchangeable Word of God has done and continues to do is to reconcile all sinners — that is every human being that has ever lived, is living, or is yet to be born, save for one spotless, blameless, sinless person Who was born fully truly man while also fully truly God, that is, the Lord Jesus Christ — is to RECONCILE us sinners to Him.

If and when we finally hear His voice. No longer ignore or deny. When we confess our sin, repent of our sin, and faithfully obey the Lord and submit to Him as one of His. Forever forgiven. No memory of our past rebellion, arguments against, anger about, failure to forgive, failure to reconcile without memory of the earlier trespass against.

That is what God has done and continues to do, what the Lord Jesus Christ did by coming to this sin plagued sin riddled lost world to teach us, and show us the way, as He submitted and obeyed to the point of death on the cross, crucified, the most painful and shameful of deaths, to conquer death on the Third Day and fulfill the promise of God, the Firstfruits, the Firstborn of death to life again!

That is what the Holy Spirit has done and continues to do for any individual who will acknowledge that they are a sinner, that they have been in darkness, are part of the darkness, and need the Light, Breath, and Way to Life, to RECONCILIATION through only one source, one way, one path —the Lord Jesus Christ.

Fully, truly forever reconciled to the Lord. His. For eternity.

By our confession of our sin, our repentance, our obedience to the Lord, to the Word of God, by our daily, nightly, continuing asking always for increasing faithfulness!

Pray on…

Faithfully live on…

Reconciled to the Lord from our lost, heading towards the Second Death and eternal damnation ways to be forever forgiven, to receive the gift of FREE GIFT of GRACE, nothing we can do to earn it, free grace, a gift from God though none deserve it, to enter into our rest, our hope, our eternity with the Lord.

Reconciled.

To go along without reconciliation is akin to walking alone endlessly, eternally, through a scorching hot desert while deluding ourselves we are lounging comfortably alongside the soothing ocean with a cool beverage in hand, our life in hand.

Isn’t it wonderful whenever we are reconciled to someone we were at one time at odds with, in rebellion with, angry with, unforgiving with here on earth?

Now attempt in our finite feeble manner what it means to be eternally reconciled to God, to Jesus, to the Holy Spirit! To have every moment of every day this wondrous “word of reconciliation…”
