Glass eyes, or just dirty windows…

I see

so many people

from a certain distance

taking on the appearance like a documentary

I saw

revealing the interior movement through the arteries

veins and workings within

of being human

I see

constant movement of bodies wearing glass eyes

no mistake made, the night is not gone on too long

no, not eyeglasses, friend

walking about bodies wearing glass eyes

They say

the eyes are the windows to the soul

why then is the dead gaze of so many nothing but dirty windows

never cleaned

the multitudes in the tenements of their mind

giving an appearance

never really seeing

no illumination

can penetrate all those glass-eyed souls

behind such dirty widows

If not so tragic

pitiful

a pain to the heart so many about so blind

one could become the wealthiest person on earth

investing in the glass eye maker

Ahh, but then

that would be investing in the father of lies

the maker of mischief, lies, evil, delusion, illusion, distraction

sin

Ahh, I see

it would be better to pluck a dead glass eye out

which keeps every ray of light from entering

then remain eternally in darkness

see

those dead glass eyes for what they are

what they bring

allow their removal

do not recoil or gasp from the sight removal brings

let the Light enter through that open hole of being once barricaded

seeing

for the first time

First truly sighted scene

then

will be the free gift of grace piercing deep within

cleansing all of sin

from once walking dead in such

first sighted seen

will be the Lord guiding to His loving arms, pierced side, holding the newly sighted

in His pierced hands

we all drove those spikes into

Ahh, all those glass eyes

feigning sight

with all their might

pretending their reality

I’d love to see the glass eye market crash

wouldn’t you?
