Be careful what you wish for

I think it would be rare to find a person who, at some point, didn’t hear the idiom, “Be careful what you wish for.” I’ve read and heard many people recently wishing for a regime change in Iran. Assuming that if the current one were removed, what would replace it would have to be better, right?

From the leadership in Israel, America, and elsewhere, along with many other voices forming a choir singing a song of regime change in Iran. Every single one singing the same notes, the same words, as they fail to think beyond their desire for a change in leadership in Iran for the better. How often does it work out that way, though? If the reality of getting what is desired in life happens, does it meet expectations, the dream that lived in imagination only?

In the near future, all those who were wishing, and you see, that’s where the problem starts. Wishing. Rather than pausing to contemplate the possible outcomes of any desire coming true. Instead of just gravitating to the idea, it must be better! It’s got to be better! Rather than live in the imagination, which has no foundation in reality, take time to live only in possible realities. All things considered. In the near future, all those who were wishing for regime change in Iran are going to discover that their wish has come true. But it will not be as they wished, imagined, or hoped for. But as it is — worse than what existed previously. You’d think that by now, more folks would figure this out if only they would pay better attention as they move along in this life.

Here’s why: regime change has already occurred in Iran. It was inevitable. An old, dying ayatollah, in fear, goes and hides in a bunker. All the top military leaders, or almost all of them, have been killed in a matter of minutes, so in the chaos that ensues, all the younger military officers move into positions of leadership. The ayatollah, a man who was already losing power prior to that day in June, a few weeks ago, when the Israeli and Iranian conflict began, turns power over to the military.

The younger, more aggressive, more rabid in the shiite Islamic beliefs men who have filled the void created when the older military men and high-ranking regime officials who had just been killed, have a burning vengeance in them that the older men did not have. Believe it, or not.

The regime has turned from a weakened, ailing Islamist theocracy to an Islamist military junta.

Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, when hiding in a bunker, fearing for his life, his fear and humiliation, his weakness witnessed by the Islamic clerics in charge, handed power over to the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC), after a war council convened consisting of Islamic clerics who have been in power since 1979. They conducted a Shura and placed the power leading Iran in the hands of the military.

What’s that? CNN, FOX News, MSNBC, none of the television talking heads, and no American government official has stated this? Yet. Eventually, they will.

This new junta is stocked with younger, hungrier, more rabid Islamists than those they replace. Just as devout, some more so, than the older guard that was assassinated. This younger Iranian leadership is more brazen than those they replace.

All the giddiness and celebration needs to be tempered, and a sober, clear, keen objective mind replace the misplaced elation.

I understand President Trump, Prime Minister Netanyahu, and those around both men desiring and beleiving that if the Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and almost everyone he knew, confided in, and trusted, all the men he counted on — if almost all of them were eliminated he would be sorely weakened and would have to bend, break, perhaps even surrender.

No. The vacuum was filled quickly once the chaos of what was going on had been understood. There were men in Iran just waiting, hoping for this opportunity. No different than what takes place in corporations, businesses, schools, churches, government offices, and families. Only there are eager men more hostile, eviler, more determined to succeed where their older leaders failed.

This new Islamist military junta in power in Iran immediately said, right after President Trump announced victory and the demise of the Iranian nuclear weapons program, that they were resuming their nuclear goals. Immediately. Today, the Pentagon released information that the attack on Iran set the Iranian nuclear weapons program back one to two years. It didn’t remove it.

This new Islamist junta has vengeance burning in their dead, black hearts filled with nothing but evil.

Democratic regime change in Iran is a fantasy. On par with a person believing that if they wish hard enough, long enough, they can become a billionaire, while they do nothing but wish. Or that if they think positively and want it enough, they can flap their arms and take flight, soaring into the sky!

Iran is already adapting to the recent attacks and determined to rise back up wth more hatred, more vengeance, more missiles — this time with nuclear warheads on them — and is more determined to meet their shiite Islamic goals, believing they will succeed where their older officers and leaders failed.

There’s a reason Ezekiel 38 and 39 happen. And it isn’t because Iran becomes a peaceful democratic nation exchanging love notes with Israel and America.

Yes, we all want peace. Well, many of us do. But it’s much better, wiser to exist in reality than in some dream state. And thinking there can be peace anywhere, and especially in the Middle East, is foolhardy. It just is. No matter who wishes and believes such is possible. Read the Holy Bible. All of it. Examine history. Much of it. Believe what you learn in searching the Scriptures and the timeline of the history of man on earth.

President Trump and Prime Minister Netanyahu are the two best leaders of nations this world has witnessed in many, many, many years. Prime Minister Netanyahu, especially, should know that there will never be any peace. He knows the Torah. He knows the Covenant [Old Testament] given to the Jews [and all the people of the world]. He surely knows of the Ezekiel 38 war and the result of such in Ezekiel 39. President Trump, who mentions God frequently, who credits God with having His hand on him in Pennsylvania saving his life, should know something within the Scriptures, as he is often surrounded by godly men such as Franklin Graham, Greg Laurie, and other pastors.

Here’s the thing, though — do Prime Minister Netanyahu and President Trump believe what they may read, or be taught within the Scriptures? Until and unless they have God the Father as their priority, the truth within God’s Word as their guide, believing every word, they are vessels requiring filling. No matter how good of men they might be by the world’s standards, no matter how many good works they perform. Until and unless they faithfully believe every word within the Word, it’s all for naught. Really, it is.

In the coming days, weeks, and months, I believe you will discover that what I have written here is true and the new reality. If I am wrong, I will be the first to say so.

Be careful what you wish for. It may happen. Only the reality of it becoming true doesn’t fit the dream scenario played out in the mind, as the reality is a nightmare.

So what is a person to do? Well, if truly a follower of the LORD Jesus Christ, be prepared every day. Every day. And let the world around you know about Jesus. Oh, they may think they know, but most do not. Spread the true gospel as contained in the whole Word of God. Let people know. Pray for them, Pray for yourself to have increased faith and strength to do this, trusting in the Holy Spirit to make the way, give the words — which require diligence, study, and much time spent in the Scriptures to give a clear, sound accounting. No one knows how much time is left. For an individual. For a nation. Until certain impact events occur. Until the LORD returns. So, while blessed with this life, speak clearly, confidently, firmly, soundly, gently, kindly, lovingly, trusting in the LORD, to tell of the Only Way to Truth and Light and Life, Jesus Christ the LORD, Yeshua Hamashic.
