If this isn’t your first time on A CROOKED PATH you likely have come across one of these prefaces to an article with me beating a drum incessantly about how Christians need to stop focusing on politics, nationalism, and the nonstop babel of left vs, right, and move past that to see, recognize, hear and then declare the root cause of everything that occurs. Which is the never-ceasing and always escalating spiritual war that no one can escape from.

I realize this isn’t a popular viewpoint. I realize it makes most folks uncomfortable. And I address this to most professed Christians who at this time appear all too comfortable in placing blame for what happens on someone or some political party, some media source, or something in the American system for the very visible and audible chaos and rebellion, the tsunami of evil taking place.

Some think I’m hypocritical because I write such things and continue to publish articles by other writers that are nothing but political. Of course, no reference or understanding of the spiritual is to be expected from worldly writers refusing the truth of the Holy Bible, but almost every professed Christian writer with a national audience, a prominent platform in these times is indistinguishable from the most worldly, secular of writers or speakers in their pointing their finger at a political party or ideology or singling out certain politicians.

When reading anything published here written by the writers given credit in individual articles or commentaries that appear of a purely political nature it is really important, vital, to every professed Christian to see, know and understand what they are reading is only telling about 25% of the story a most. Leaving out the most important foundational parts as to the how, why, who, and what — which are some of the most important principles of journalism, real journalism, reporting real news, providing real information, and being as unbiased as possible.

Unless the factual how, why, who, and what, along with the where and when? Well, you’re just being served up a hollow, impotent piece of information which in reality is misinformation lacking in the vital core, the root of it all.

The following, an excellent worldy article by Mr. Peter Schweizer is a perfect example.

Folks get fidgety, squirmy, and very uncomfortable when speaking or writing of evil. Of certain people or places being evil. In cahoots with the devil. Servants of Satan. Minions of Lucifer.

But you know what? Squirm and get as uncomfortable as you can possibly be because every person is either darkness or light. In the dark or in the light. Either belonging to this world or belonging to God, Christ, and the Holy Spirit. I know this firsthand once BEING darkness as well as being IN darkness.

Light or dark. God’s people or the world’s, thus Satan’s people. There are only those two distinct types of people on earth.

No one resides outside these two camps.

And by their fruits, you will know them.

But you know what else? A great tragedy and one of the key reasons we are in the terrible place we are? Most Christians refuse to discern wisely. To judge all things according to being either of God or of the world, of Scripture and God’s way or of the world and its way, which is the way of evil, the way of that Old Dragon the devil.

There are no other places to stand, sit, or reside. And judging of all things is not only vital it is according to the Word of God. To discern wisely. Test all things, all spirits. To have wisdom, spiritual wisdom, and understanding. To discern. Everything. And, yes, it’s a full-time job. One most neglect.

Knowing that God is Sovereign and in control, as true children of God ought to know, we then know it is foolishness and ignorant to go to the world, to politics, to any manmade thing and establish that as our foundation. Our fount of truth to be faithful to.

God has no part in sin or evil. EVER! God has no hand or part in evil, but God will CONTROL evil to reveal His plan. As He did in countless examples over centuries of examples in dealing with the Israelites and other peoples in the Bible. God used evil kings, evil nations, and some of the most heinous people at the time to judge and bring to repentance His people who had turned from Him to become unrecognizable from any other pagan, evil nation or people.

Nothing has changed. Nothing is ancient or obsolete when it comes to God or human nature. When God’s people rebel, love the world more than the Lord and His Son, His Word, when God’s people lie and become lazy and indistinguishable from the people of the world, idol worshippers, turning to darkness and evil rather than the Lord, well, God allows those people to receive His justice for their professing to be His and turning from Him. See example upon example in the Old Testament. And, contrary to the lie, there is not an Old Testament God and a New Testament God. God does not ever change. Nor does Christ or the Holy Spirit. The Godhead is immutable. The wrath of God is met out on unrighteousness, idol worship, teachers of unsound doctrines, and lovers of the world rather than lovers of God. No respecter of people, or a nation. Contrary to the delusion America is not exempt from the wrath and judgment of God because you happen to be an American living in the present.

Everything that is unfolding is doing so as a result of the spiritual war, the rebellion within human nature, the idleness, lukewarmness as Laodiceans — if unfamiliar do some serious Bible study about them and God’s, Jesus’ reproof to them.

The turning to false teachings and idols of God’s professed people — just as the Israelites did. And what always happened then and there?

You expect what to be different now? Because you’re an American Republican voter! You’re living in 2022! Or just because it’s YOU?

Really?

So, when reading something here like the article below? Begin to discern wisely. To judge according to the Word of God, to recognize evil and declare it so! To get our lazy, easy way out backsides up off the encampment around the political campfire roasting our s’mores in political gluttony and move on to see, hear, and then declare the who, what, where, why, and how of things occurring all around us, more than we can keep up with, but recognize them for NOT being political, either something right-wing or leftist, or getting ensnared in it being about America and the American system of government, and finally have the spiritual wisdom, the spiritual understanding, the spiritual vision, the spiritual courage that the Holy Spirit will provide each of us if we but faithfully ask, and no longer be sycophants to the world, to worldly political parties or systems, to stop being so weak and misunderstanding the whole “do not judge” and learn CONTEXT and how we are in this spiritual war and unless each professed Chrisitan is a well equipped, prepared — and this takes maturity in the Word and a faithful consistent prayer life, a fluency in the Bible, while asking the Holy Spirit daily for help in all things, and beleiving God will provide — well, unless we’re doing those things we’re falling short. We’re aiding and abetting the Enemy. We’re allowing the forces of darkness and evil to gain by our refusing to engage in the battle and be the light of the world, not hidden, not complying or complicit or appeasing or accommodating evil or the things of this world.

Such as placing so much faith in human government, a politician, a political party, a nation. O, pilgrim, and but sojourner here whose home is in heaven! America is not eternal. Nor is any political party or system.  Live and think accordingly.

There is no time to waste or to give the Enemy a further hold.

Time to put the big faith attire on, the full armour, soldier up, and move past politics to the REALITY before every person.

So, articles and commentaries such as the one below will continue to appear here — but none of them are ever published with my intent or purpose of going to the altar of a political party, a political ideology, a politician, a nation and it’s form of government and bowing, pitching my tent there and refusing to press on to the root, the core, the foundation within the purpose of everything — the spiritual part. What spiritual heart is at the center? A one humbled and serving the Lord faithfully spiritual heart? Or a different one?

Test all spirits. Test all things. Judge all things wisely and according to the Word of God like a Berean!

It’s NEVER just politics…

It’s ALWAYS a part of the spiritual war.

Everything.

Everyone.

No exceptions.

People say to stop reading something into things that isn’t there. I say it’s time to finally begin seeing the things that are written and to finally read into the words what is really there — being said, by who, about what, why, when, where, and how…knowing it’s never just political.

It’s always spiritual with whoever is involved. A president, politician, or reporter. A preacher. A teacher. A mother, a father, a brother, a friend. Your next-door neighbor. No one is without a spiritual aspect of life and each one is on one side of things or the other — and there are only two possible sides to this. Contrary to the lies and delusions of the world.

The most ignored, refused to be addressed and acknowledged, and most the important, always present in every action part of everything in everyone — the spiritual side.

Each person no matter who is clearly on one side or the other.

America’s Retreat by 1,000 Small Steps

• Thanks to a Treasury Department “interpretation,” Americans can still own stock in companies that were placed on a blacklist by the Trump administration because of their direct ties to the Imperialist Communist Chinese military.
• Thanks to the Biden administration, the “China Initiative” at the Department of Justice to crack down on Communist Chinese attempts to acquire or steal American technology has been discontinued.
• Thanks to the Biden administration’s “green energy” enthusiasm, tariffs on solar panels made by Asian countries that are assembling or repackaging solar panels made in Communist China were removed.
• The Biden administration has also signaled its intention to remove or lift other tariffs imposed by the Trump administration on Communist Chinese products. It has also been friendlier toward Communist Chinese companies such as Huawei and ByteDance (owner of TikTok) in recent weeks.
• And all of this has been done with zero concessions from the Imperialist Communist Chinese government on any of the outstanding diplomatic, military, strategic, health, or trade issues that so concern most Americans.
• Because the Biden family has been so deeply involved and so vehemently denied their involvement with Communist Chinese business, the next question is as inescapable as the first: Does the flow of money to the Biden family from Communist China influence the foreign policy of the United States?

President Joe Biden has been lying about his knowledge and likely his involvement in his son’s business dealings since at least 2018.

That is the inescapable conclusion to draw from a short voicemail recording discovered on the laptop computer that belonged to his son, Hunter and reported by The Daily Mail and The New York Post recently.

It begins innocently enough. “Hey pal, it’s Dad,” Joe Biden begins. “It’s 8:15 on Wednesday night. If you get a chance, just give me a call. Nothing urgent. I just wanted to talk to you.”

The elder Biden then turns to a specific subject. That subject was the publication of a New York Times article detailing how, in 2014, “Ye Jianming courted the Biden family and networked with former United States security officials.” The article offers some details of Ye’s efforts to lure Hunter Biden into business deals that would enrich him and curry favor with his father, vice president of the United States and the recently designated “point person” for the administration of President Barack Obama on China.

Biden’s voicemail to Hunter continues: “I thought the article released online, it’s going to be printed tomorrow in the Times, was good,” Biden said. “I think you’re clear. And anyway if you get a chance, give me a call, I love you.”

On its own, this is not dispositive. It could be explained as a politician’s take on a news story that implicates his own son in business dealings with a Chinese investor whose commercial enterprises went into default. But placed into proper context, against what had already been reported in my 2018 book, Secret Empires, and reported on previously, it shows that Joe Biden in 2018 knew plenty about his son’s business dealings, all of which involved foreign nations in which the elder Biden was simultaneously serving as the U.S.’s most important diplomatic presence.

Moreover, it tracks with the words of an eyewitness, namely Hunter himself, who told the New Yorker in 2019 that he discussed Burisma, the Ukrainian natural gas producer, with his father as far back as December 2015 while Hunter sat on Burisma’s board of directors, as USA TODAY reported in September of 2019.

Around the time of the 2015 conversation, Joe Biden was preparing for a trip to Ukraine, and the Obama administration special envoy had raised the issue with the Vice President, according to the article. Hunter Biden told the New Yorker he and his father spoke about Burisma just once.

“Dad said, ‘I hope you know what you’re doing,'” Hunter told the New Yorker. “And I said, ‘I do,'” Hunter said. His father’s presidential campaign declined to comment.

Joe Biden would go on, as a candidate and then as president, to continue to deny, then backpedal, on whether Joe had knowledge of what his son was doing overseas. For those who would not be convinced by what I disclosed in Secret Empires, published in April 2018 and five weeks on the New York Times bestseller list — for those who would not be convinced by Hunter’s own words that he had in fact discussed his overseas business interests with his father — there is now the direct, recorded voice of Joe Biden himself, telling his son in 2018 that he was “in the clear” on at least one of these deals.

He denied any of this, categorically, throughout the 2020 campaign. But, as Gordon Chang agreed in a recent interview, there it is.

Some may be tempted to chalk this up to past indiscretions or even as a father’s natural protectiveness for his own son. But none of this is really “past,” and given the investigations ongoing into Hunter’s business dealings it is hard to see that it provided much protection to him at all. But the lies did protect Joe Biden’s “viability” as a candidate against President Donald Trump and defused an issue that led to Trump’s impeachment by the Democratic-controlled House of Representatives over his efforts to coax Ukraine’s president Volodymyr Zelenskyy into investigating the matter from his own perspective.

But the issue remains red-hot because there is still so much at stake in U.S.-China diplomatic and trade relations that requires a U.S. president to prioritize American interests above those of China… or of himself.

In an interview with Jason Chaffetz on the Fox News show “Sunday Futures,” I described the Biden administration’s policy toward China as “A retreat by 1,000 small steps.”

Because the Biden family has been so deeply involved and so vehemently denied their involvement with Chinese business, the next question is as inescapable as the first: Does the flow of money to the Biden family from China influence the foreign policy of the United States?

Based on a mountain of documentary evidence topped with one short, intimate voicemail message, the answer appears clearer than ever.
