“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” saith the LORD.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.”

Honking Horns As The Light Turns Green

by Ken Pullen — ACP — Sunday, January 3rd, 2016

While man and woman have been created by God our Father to receive the gift of salvation through believing in, and then serving through daily discipleship the Lord Jesus Christ, He made man;

Thou madest him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst him with glory and honour, and didst set him over the works of thy hands:

Hebrews 2:7 — King James Version

For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.

Psalm 8:5 — King James Version

We certainly fall far, far, FAR short of being on the mental, emotional, or spiritual level of the Living God. We can’t wait or be patient enough in lines at stores, sitting in our vehicles which pamper and keep us warm in the cold, cool in the heat, and keep our ever-widening lazy rear-ends tucked in supple leather with tinted windows so we don’t need to squint in the sun so much.

We say and proclaim we know God’s plans, know His will yet most don’t even read His Word in order to understand His will as far as He has given to us while in this fleshly life!

God is all-knowing. All-powerful. Unchangeable. God is patient. God has a plan and yes, the end times did begin with the arrival of His appearing on earth in the God-man Jesus Christ the Lord, and His ways and teachings while on earth among us, His death and resurrection — began the end times.

Just because we might not comprehend or get it, just because we’re always impatient and shallow compared to the Living God, and the end times began clicking off a little over 2,000 years ago does not mean they did not commence with the first coming of Christ, and will culminate with the Lord’s second coming, which is closer than it ever has been, and I feel in my spirit and soul is not far off.

We must not lower God to our level.

We must live and aspire to rise up to meet God and His ways, His plan, His will — and we can gain discernment and spiritual wisdom and understanding for as much as we need measured out to us in His living and active word — in the Holy Bible!

God’s ways and thoughts are not ours. Let’s stop acting as if we speak for God. Let God speak for Himself and submit and obey for a change. Stop honking the horns as the light turns green. God has his plan. god knows all who have their names written in the Book of Life. While the time of open grace and salvation are coming to a close, and it becomes more difficult by the hour to find true teachings, true preaching’s, a living in the Spirit church and true believers God knows who is yet to have their hardened hearts melted in the conviction of their sin turning to Him, asking forgiveness, and repenting and receiving the gift of salvation.

My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

James 1:2-8 — King James Version

Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice. Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:4-7 — King James Version

What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found? For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath whereof to glory; but not before God. For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness. Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt. But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,

Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.

Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.

Romans 4:1-8 — King James Version

Why God Waits

by Pastor Cornelius R. Stam

The Apostle Peter was not wrong when he declared at Pentecost that the last days had begun (Acts 2:16-17). They had indeed begun, but God had a secret plan to give the world a period of grace before putting down its rebellion and sending Christ to reign.

This secret purpose concerning “the dispensation of the grace of God” is the subject of Paul’s epistles. However, it is interesting to see how Peter’s last message explains the reason for this interruption in God’s prophesied program and the delay in Christ’s return to reign. First, he says in II Peter 3:8:

“But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years years as one day.”

Mark well, this is not our feeble explanation now as to the delay in Christ’s return. This statement was made at the beginning of this time of waiting, at the dawn of the age of grace. But let us go on with Peter’s declaration:

“The Lord is not slack concerning His promise… but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance” (Ver. 9).

So the delay in Christ’s return to judge and reign should not be counted “slackness” or laxness, but longsuffering. Thus the Apostle goes on to say:

“And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation…”

Where did Peter get this information? How did he know about “the dispensation of the grace of God”? Verse 15 explains:

“Even as our beloved brother Paul also, according to the wisdom given unto him, hath written unto you.”

To Paul particularly was committed “the gospel of the grace of God” which we proclaim today (Acts 20:24). Peter recognized this (Galatians 2:2-9), and closed his second epistle with the exhortation:

“But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (II Peter 3:18).
