There is only one source of true truth. Objective truth. God’s inerrant, infallible, unchangeable, eternal living and active Word.
I still remember sitting in an English class my senior year in high school [it was a very different English curriculum than you might imagine back in 1971 at the school I attended, as every six weeks we rotated to a different study topic, and received one of the seven English teachers at my high school then teaching that topic of study for six weeks, until the course and the teacher rotated once again. It was incredible and a wonderful experience.]
In one of these classes, a great question was put forward by the teacher that day, “What is truth, what is true?”
And I usually remained silent and listened, observing when things first began. After about four to five minutes of my classmates one after another raising their hand and thinking they had the answer, only to be corrected by the teacher, because what they offered up could easily be proved to be mere conjecture, opinion, or downright false, I raised my hand and when called upon [yes, that etiquette and courtesy still existed in high school classrooms in the early 1970s] I said, “Truth is the only truth.”
And the teacher smiled and said, “Correct!”
And we proceeded.
And the only true truth emanates, continues, and goes on eternally only from one source — the Triune God and His eternal Word.
That’s the only source.
Anything else begins to bring in bias, opinion, conditioning, indoctrination, what the world has come to accept and propagate, which, sadly, is not truth, and with each passing day, lying, delusion, and falsehood become the accepted norm for being truth.
All that truly matters in the past, now, to come, in the end, is the truth of God’s Word. Everything else, all the words, all the babel, all the dung flung from tongues, written, believed yet was untrue, will all be eternally forgotten. Dissolved. Removed.
Only God’s Word will go on. Eternally.
And that’s the truth.
Being objective.
