“Therefore…”
Therefore thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to fear him.
Deuteronomy 8:6
Know something very sad, tragic, actually. So few people, and I’m thinking about professed Christians now, so few ever read the Holy Bible. In context. Book by book. And even fewer ever read, study, and gain wisdom and discernment from the beginning. What has been named the Old Testament. Without knowledge of what came first, it’s impossible to have the depth of understanding of what came later. And why. It’s all one book. NOT a story, NOT a collection of stories.
Stop talking and thinking stories!
HISTORY. FACTUAL ACCOUNTS. PROPHECY. Again, sad, tragic that so many professed Christians don’t believe this.
Read the Old Testament. Read the whole of God’s Word. Read entire books, letters, without letting the verse numbers or the chapter breaks get in the way.
Pray. Read. Live.
Forget the dung the world teaches, believes, and follows.
Pray. Repent. Read. Study. Believe. Live it out. For God. For what He did for us on that tree of shame, and walking out of that tomb three days later.
