Scripture included appears in Italics and is from either the King James Version or the English Standard Version — list of verses used appears at end of poem
In times of trouble
times of apostasy
times aplenty
these times of feelings, nothing but feelings
wishing upon sugarplums
rainbows
(the prevailing one these times the stolen one of God’s now flying in the face of abomination coast to coast)
unicorns, candied apples, popcorn
all the freely given unsound doctrines
out
&
out
lies
filling the itching ears
twitching dead souls
of delusion
blindly walking into
the same walls of death
banged into
in
the
Garden
Babel
the days of Noah
all those wonderful days in Egypt
(all that idol worship really worked out well didn’t it?)
times through time
even
that Babylon pagan king
Belshazzar
saw the writing on the wall
why can’t we
to this very nanosecond of time
now
just
past
yet all the same at last
passing
ticking
where is
the
dread of the LORD
And
his mercy
is for those who fear him
from
generation to generation
And
unto man he said,
Behold,
the fear of the Lord,
that is wisdom;
and to depart from evil is understanding
Let all the earth fear the LORD:
let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him
The fear of the LORD
is a fountain of life,
that one may turn away from
the snares of death
The fear of the LORD
is the beginning of knowledge:
but fools despise wisdom
and
instruction
And
fear not them
which kill the body,
but are not able to kill the soul:
but
rather
fear
him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell
Then the dread of the LORD fell upon the people,
Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter:
Fear God,
and keep his commandments:
for this is the whole duty of man
Pleasure seeking
pretenders
sound doctrine lenders
leaning upon the world
instead
tooth gnashing freaking
out
when
the
dread
of the LORD
will weigh upon them far to late
their fate
some upcoming date
shall they not humbly
repent
turn their backs upon this rotting world
back to the LORD
their eyes
hearts
minds
spirits
bodies find
times of trouble
times aplenty
time taken
no awe, wonder, worship, reverence, fear, humbling, turning given
times time all those in time saying
they
have
no time
(and they may be right around the next bend)
so many now given over to a reprobate mind
And
his mercy
is for those who fear him
from
generation to generation
And
unto man he said,
Behold,
the fear of the Lord,
that is wisdom;
and to depart from evil is understanding
Let all the earth fear the LORD:

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter:
Fear God,

for this is the whole duty of man
God the Father
Jehovah Tsidkenu
One True unchangeable God
God is not bipolar
God is not schizophrenic
God
is not
what each attempts to make Him
woe to any
all
who
should tread upon such shaky ground
for they shall be swallowed up and spit out
There is no
God
of the
Old Testament
&
another
God
of the
New
the Scriptures are one complete book
not to be divided in mind
nor heart
one continuous thread
weaving the fabric
of salvation
of Jesus
of what was, is, and will be
nor a God for today
other than the God that always has, is, and will be
for ever and for ever and for ever
And
his mercy
is for those who fear him
from
generation to generation
And
unto man he said,
Behold,

Fear God,

for this is the whole duty of man
We
are all made
for
His pleasure
(do I need to say who He is? Really?)
To submit
serve
obey
joyously
reverently
awe struck
transformed
into the new from the old
out of the awareness
the true freedom
the shed blood of His Son
Jesus Christ the Lord
makes available
through faith, steadfast faith, enduring faith
leading to life eternal
Satan lies into every ear
every mind
telling us we’re made for our own pleasure
saying continually
do not believe God
do not believe in Jesus
do not believe in the Bible
why
you can extract, remove, omit, reduce, add
whatever
suits
your whims
will
feelings
whatever the world is now saying
as they all sing the devils hymn
rather than hymns
to
the
One True God, Father
Creator
and
His Son
Jesus Christ the Lord
Instead
they listen to his old line since in the Garden
do not worry, “surely you will not die”
the eternal lie
which will ring in the ears of all who heed
the
lying
Evil One
his words in all the itching ears
only leading
to
eternal death
And
his mercy
is for those who fear him
from
generation to generation
And
unto man he said,
Behold,
the fear of the Lord,
that is wisdom;
and to depart from evil is understanding
Let all the earth fear the LORD:
