Scripture used is from the King James Version and appears in Italics

This is no  fantasy tale

but the truth

of two tables

being set

One of the tables being set

is for the world’s largest ever feast

as they prepare

every detail in advance

prepare the invitations,

polish the gold and silver

preparing

to sit at the table

of the Beast

The other table being set

is the wondrous marriage feast

a heavenly setting,

with the One True God

 Jesus the Lord

Messiah

King of kings

Lord of lords

all the heavenly hosts

beyond any fleshly imagination

wondrous

awestruck

eternal Word

divine!

Speechless at being seated

thankful

the Lord prepared a place

for thee

for me

shall you also be there for us to

see?

Invitations

are continually sent

everyone receiving

one

choosing where their eternity,

their place at which table will

be spent

For whosoever exalteth himself

shall be abased;

and he that humbleth himself

shall be exalted.

Then said he also to him that bade him,

When thou makest a dinner

or a supper,

call not thy friends,

nor thy brethern,

neither thy kinsmen,

nor thy rich neighbors;

lest they also bid thee again,

and a recompence be made thee.

But when thou makest a feast,

call the poor, the maimed,

the lame, the blind:

And thou shalt be blessed;

for they cannot recompense thee:

for thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection

of the just.

And when one of them

that sat at meat with Him

heard these things, He said unto him,

Blessed is he that shall eat bread in the kingdom of God.

Then He said unto him,

A certain man made a great supper,

and bade many:

And sent his servant at supper time

to say to them that were bidden,

Come; for all things are now ready.

And they all with one consent

began to make excuse.

The first said unto him,

I have bought a piece of ground,

and I must needs go and see it:

I pray thee have me excused.

And another said,

I have married a wife,

and therefore cannot come.

So that servant came,

and shewed his lord these things.

Then the master of the house being angry

said to his servant,

Go out quickly into the streets

and lanes of the city,

and bring in hither the poor,

and the maimed,

and the halt,

and the blind.

And the servant said,

Lord, it is done

as thou hast commanded,

and yet there is room.

And the lord said unto the servant,

Go out into the highways

and hedges,

and compel them to come in,

that my house may be filled.

For I say unto you,

That none of those men

which were bidden

shall taste of my supper.

The people of the world

smell the sweet meats on the fire roasting,

the tantalizing aromas of lusts

desired

pleasures

empty promises

hard hearts

dead eyes

wanting spirits

longing to be filled

quick to seek immediate gratification

the falseness offered

the lies set on the plates before them

the deadly belief

a man will come along

to fill their hunger

their emptiness

and invite them in to dine at his feast,

Alas!

such a man will arrive

with most being alive

drooling,

salivating

to follow and sit at the table of the beast,

they will gladly accept that invitation

eager to sit at the world’s greatest feast

which after partaking

eating of his poison

his tainted victuals

leading to death

eternal

pain without end

yet excuses one and almost all make

to sit at the table of Life

The

heavenly table set by God,

refusing to respond to His invitation

offering up every reason under God’s

created sun

as to why they can’t accept

and must run

hide

deny

pre-occupy

from the Way

the Light

the Truth

the Bread of Life

refusing to eat of His living Word

the food of eternal life

drink of the wine of purity divine!

Their sin so thick in the air it can be cut with the dullest

rusted

broken

knife

And it shall come to pass

in that day,

saith the Lord God,

that I will cause the sun to go down at noon,

and I will darken the earth in the clear day:

And I will turn your feasts into mourning,

and all your songs into lamentation;

and I will bring up sackcloth upon all loins,

and baldness upon every head;

and I will make it as the mourning of an only son,

and the end thereof as a bitter day.

Behold,

the days come,

saith the Lord God,

that I will send a famine in the land,

not a famine of bread,

nor a thirst for water,

but of hearing the words of the Lord:

And they shall wander from sea to sea,

and from north even to the east,

they shall run to and fro

to seek the word of the Lord,

and shall not find it.

Each day the tables

are being set

the invitations sent

one from the world appearing as the most wonderful fete

as good as it could get

and soon, very soon

the prince of this world

will unveil his selected host

the beast

the world will bow to

at the worldly feast

where appetites will never be sated

nor lusts abated

all gorging yet unfilled

starving in their spirits, their souls

for the nourishment providing

eternal life

as the beast carves out their souls

like a surgeons scalpel

their gluttony

dripping down their fleshly arms

unable to breath from their endless consumption

no heed to the harm

they’ve brought upon themselves from their errant assumption

that sitting and serving at the table

of the beast

would satisfy their hunger

the more they ingest of what the beast

serves up

the more malnourished

closer to death they move

caught in the deadly snare

their souls going nowhere

except to eternal damnation

as every nation

gathers round

the worldly table,

the feast

being set and prepared by the beast

But ye are they that forsake the Lord,

that forget my holy mountain,

that prepare a table for that troop,

and that furnish the drink offering

unto that number.

Therefore will I number you to the sword,

and ye shall all bow down to the slaughter:

because when I called,

ye did not answer;

when I spake,

ye did not hear;

but did evil before mine eyes,

and did choose that wherein I delighted not.

Therefore thus saith the Lord God,

Behold,

my servants shall eat,

but ye shall be hungry:

behold,

my servants shall drink,

but ye shall be thirsty:

behold,

my servants shall rejoice,

but ye shall be ashamed:

Behold,

my servants shall sing for joy of heart,

but ye shall cry for sorrow of heart,

and shall howl for vexation of spirit.

Invitations

are going out

to one and all

no one will be left uncalled

cannot say they never knew

Each individual decides

at which table they will sit

and where there heart,

their souls,

their spirits will reside.

No excuses these last tables being set

are you willing to bet

the eternal fate of your soul

as you strive for these worldly, fleeting, hollow goals?

Whose table,

whose invitation

do you accept?

And he saith unto me,

Write,

Blessed are they which are called

unto the marriage supper of the Lamb.

And he saith unto me,

These are the true sayings of God.
