The following Scripture from Romans should be plainly understood. It is my hope anyone coming to “A Crooked Path” or taking the time to study Scripture is also taking the time to study to show themselves approved before the Lord, and studying to discern the Word of God, rightly divided. Taking the whole complete truth of Scripture without taint from denominations, theology schools, or worldly knowledge.

The following passages are some of the mot powerful and instructive given to men by the Apostle Paul, who was  special vessel and instrument of the Lord’s to give us this instruction. May we not make light of it, corrupt it, or pervert it with varying worldly translations designed to placate and appease, and may we not misunderstand nor take only a portion leaving the remainder on the plate.

All readers of Scripture should take the necessary time to have reference resources at hand, to better discern, relying upon the Holy Spirit, and a good Greek lexicon or dictionary for Scripture, and in the case of the Older Testament a Hebrew resource. Visitors to “ACP” can find such resources here listed in the “links” section on the right hand side of the home page if needed.

There is no excuse for any person…

And none can be made, or will be accepted.

The heathens, Gentiles, have equal opportunity under the grace and love of our Creator, Jehovah Elyon, and in the life, sacrifice of death, and resurrection of the Son, Yeshua, the Christ.

And God is righteous. His righteousness = right is above and beyond our ever questioning or thinking we know better. We cloud and corrupt God’s righteousness with our modern-day thinking, beliefs, and philosophy – all of and from the world and men. God is always just, always right. God is always proper, right, just and consistent with all His other attributes and how he deals with all men and women. Also, God’s righteousness can justify ungodly sinners since He sent His Son, Yeshua, the sinless Substitute to cleanse us from our sin and provide our salvation through his life, shed blood, death, and resurrection to those who believe, have faith, and live according to God’s Word as a regenerated renewed in mind and spirit person. the righteousness of God also is the perfect standing which God provides for those who believe on His Son ( 2 Corinthians 5: 21 ). Those are treated as if they were righteous because God sees them in all the perfection of Christ. Righteousness is imputed to their account.

It is my hope and prayer both heathen and Jew come and take pleasure and comfort in the teachings of the Apostle Paul and allow the Spirit of the Lord to work in their hearts and lives. We do not do what we do on our own when it comes to salvation. Our salvation only comes by faith and the work of the Lord in our lives. May at least one more reading this come to that place in their lives and find rest, peace, comfort, and eternal life.

Romans 1: 16-32 and Romans 2: 1-16

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

Part I. The guilty world. (1) The wrath of God revealed.

18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

(2) The universe a revelation of the power and deity of God.

19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

(3) The seven stages of Gentile (heathen) world apostasy.

21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,

23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.

(4) The result of the Gentile world apostasy.

24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and
receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

CHAPTER 2

(5) The Gentile pagan moralizers no better than other pagans.

1 Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest
doest the same things.

2 But we are sure that the judgment of God is according to truth against them which commit such things.

3 And thinkest thou this, O man, that judgest them which do such things, and doest the same, that thou shalt escape the judgment of God?

4 Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

5 But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;

6 Who will render to every man according to his deeds:

7 To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:

8 But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,

9 Tribulation and anguish, upon every soul of man that doeth evil, of the Jew first, and also of the Gentile;

10 But glory, honour, and peace, to every man that worketh good, to the Jew first, and also to the Gentile:

11 For there is no respect of persons with God.

12 For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law: and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;

13 (For not the hearers of the law are just before God, but the doers of the law shall be justified.

14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:

15 Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)

16 In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel.
