Every time upon opening the Word of God and reading, slowly, allowing each word to be absorbed, saturating the heart, spirit, mind, and soul, there is a refreshing, a reviving.
If such is not the case with you, then it’s now time to pause, pray, ask, and find out why this is.
Because the refreshing, the reviving every time in God’s living and active Word is how the Spirit of God works and if just reading, quickly, to accomplish, check off “I read the Bible today,” or if even a lesser endeavor — merely turning to a verse of the day, a “Minute with the Bible,” or stuck on devotions rather than devoting the proper time, effort and interest in the whole Word of God, while devotions are like a light sweet snack there is nothing, nothing like sitting at the table of the Word of God and feasting on all its fare offerings to feed, nourish, revive, restore as nothing else can.
If going through the motions? If not being drawn to with interest, excitement — EXPECTATION — of newness, of discovery, of being held by and taken by God to the place you need to be for your spirit, your soul, your life here and now, the problem doesn’t lie in the Holy Bible or with God.
Dive into the purest cleansing, saturating restorative waters!
Dig in heartedly to eat, ingest, feast on the living Word to nourish and restore, to refresh and invigorate, to equip as nothing else can or will!
There ought not be any by rote, blahness, boredom, complacency ever in opening and reading anything in the whole Word of God.
The Holy Bible is the only book on earth 100% true and accurate without any error. If you now want to take the path of, “Well, this translation, those scholars…and that translation is…” I say, why are you permitting the devil to have power over you when you could be putting that time, ability to think, and effort into discovering more within the Word of God? Do not be distracted. Your focus disturbed. Stop the debating. The wasting of time. It’s too precious each moment given to us by the LORD.
The Holy Bible is the only book on earth detailing — more than enough for each of us to know — past, PRESENT, and FUTURE history. No other book has, or does prophesy, and those prophecies have all come to be, are coming to be, and we know will come to be. No other book. No other faith.
It’s all about Jesus the LORD and Savior. Yeshua Hamashiac.
It’s all about God, the Father of true believers, true children of His.
It’s all about the individual of the Holy Spirit.
It’s all about every word within the Word of God.
Do not omit, skip, add to, or remove from. There are no old words and new words, Old Testament and New Testament — those were vehicles created by man. The Bible is NOT ancient. It was and is written for every time of every man, woman, and child. The Holy Bible also does not need to be revised, altered, made to fit the culture — if truly read this would clearly be understood as the nature of man and woman has not altered one iota since the beginning, there’s just a lot more sinful people on earth now, but this “The Bible needs to be changed to fit the times,” is total rubbish, dung, and all that comes from one source and one source only no matter who is saying or writing it — its origin comes from Satan to man. Period. Also, the new age, possessed of evil within the church mantra, the Bible is living; therefore, it can and should adapt to the times is corrupting the meaning of the LIVING Word. To suit the pleasures and desires of man and woman, rather than man and woman submitting to the LORD for His pleasure.
There is ONE WHOLE BOOK of God-breathed words. From the beginning. One Book. One theme. One Way. It just has a 400-year intermission, that’s all. God never left, God never stopped working. It’s all for a reason.
There is recorded an early covenant, to be never broken, as God never breaks a promise, but in that first covenant was also the telling of the other covenant to come.
There is not an Old Testament God and a different New Testament God. God is immutable. Never ever has changed, never ever will change. If you don’t like that truth, that’s on you. Best learn to humble oneself and submit to the LORD, or upon being face to face with Him, it isn’t going to go well for one of you, and I believe you know which one that is.
Always, prior to opening the Word of God to slowly read, study, meditate — think deeply on what is read — pray. Pray to the Holy Spirit for divine wisdom and discernment to come to you. Pray while reading the Bible. Pray parts of the Bible. Aloud. Pray after reading the Bible in thanks to the LORD.
The best way, the only lasting way to refresh, revive, restore, renew on earth is with, by, and through the Holy Bible.

Revive me, O Lord, according to Your word
NUN
Your word is a lamp to my feet
And a light to my path.
I have sworn and confirmed
That I will keep Your righteous judgments.
I am afflicted very much;
Revive me, O Lord, according to Your word.
Accept, I pray, the freewill offerings of my mouth, O Lord,
And teach me Your judgments.
My life is continually in my hand,
Yet I do not forget Your law.
The wicked have laid a snare for me,
Yet I have not strayed from Your precepts.
Your testimonies I have taken as a heritage forever,
For they are the rejoicing of my heart.
I have inclined my heart to perform Your statutes
Forever, to the very end.

I hate the double-minded,
But I love Your law.
You are my hiding place and my shield;
I hope in Your word.
Depart from me, you evildoers,
For I will keep the commandments of my God!
