This is the last sentence of the article below: “The countdown may have already begun.”
You see, the “countdown” began long, long ago. Thousands of years ago. Perhaps the bullet whizzing past in Butler, missing its mark, missed just for this time.
I’ve read columns and articles, quite a few, listened to some folks talking from my television, and now these are professed Christian folks asking, “Is this current war between Israel and Iran Ezekiel 38?” There is an excellent Q&A I watch weekly, with Amir Tsarfati and pastor Barry Stagner, and going back to Israel fighting Hamas in Gaza, people, professed Christians, were asking Amir and Barry that question.
This disturbs my spirit. Why? Because I immediately ask in my mind, or out loud while looking towards my TV screen, “Have you ever opened up a Bible and read it!?”
Seriously.
Here you go. Please take the time to read THIS.. I’ll wait until you’re done…
I understand if reading something and needing help with discernment. Going to a concordance, a good sound source for help. None of us knows it all, everything, as much as we’d like to. But there is so much evidence that people, professed Christ followers, are not reading the Holy Bible. Haven’t read the Scriptures.
Why? Do they think somehow all the contents within the Word of God will be given to them, poured into them without their making the effort to reach for The Book? Pray before opening The Book that the Spirit of God help them, guide them, reveal to them that which they need to know at that particular time and reading. Doing this faithfully.
Then, open The Book and have an idea of where you want to go. Topic, personage, theme, certain words, prophecy, and commence eating and drinking and becoming filled in God’s Word at that sitting. Pray that what is read is held within the heart. To be retained.
Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat.
Daily. Nightly. As often as is possible.
Because it’s clear we all need the nourishment and guidance in these times. These last of the last days as the time of the LORD coming to gather us, His remnant, that very well could be, most likely will be, hundreds of millions of souls to Him in an instant. The Rapture. Feels very near within the bones of many souls these days. Why? Because these are Bible fluent, Bible literate. Bible believing, Bible active folks. Seeking answers within the whole Word of God — because every answer needed is found there.
I didn’t say every answer you have will be answered how you want it, or fully. But every answer NEEDED is found within the Scriptures. Somewhere. Venture in. Dive in. Do more than a minute with the Bible, a nice devotion on a calendar, or a page of some other book. Go to THE BOOK. Written by God.
I really wish every Bible, on the front cover, stated: Authored By God, the LORD Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit [with a little help from Their chosen friends with human hands]. Because that’s what the Holy Bible is. Also, too bad that we’ve become so lazy, so lax, so casual in our language and minds, we cannot even say or write HOLY Bible. Ehh, it’s just the Bible.
No. It’s HOLY. Because IT IS GOD SPEAKING TO EVERY PERSON who will take hold of a Holy Bible, open it, and read it. All God speaking to us. About everything and anything that could possibly arise in our lives, our personal lives today. As well as clearly showing us the only way to eternal life.
Might help some folks.
We don’t need the answer to our every question. Really, we don’t. We tend to micromanage everything. Get a bit too nitpicky leading to debates, which lead to strife, which lead to divisions.
God’s people ought not be divided, right? Yet look and listen. All there is are divisions, debates, strifes among so many — so many professing to be one of God’s true children.
Ahhh, there’s the rub! Rather than being an obedient child, acting up, acting as a spoiled child. Must always have their way.
Come on, you know them. By the fruit they bear. They’re in your church. You know this. Also, on many Christian talk shows, writing Christian based articles, essays, and books.
No?
Hummm…
How many times have predictions been made, to the exact day, that Jesus would return? When the Word of God could not be clearer, no one knows the day or time, save the Father, and it is spiritually dangerous to imagine, and that’s all it is, imagining [for gain, attention] the time.
Oh, right, the countdown to Ezekiel 38.
Yes, it’s happening. Closer than ever.
Perhaps, what just happened these past two weeks, or so, will now bring a period of peace for Israel [once they utterly defeat Hamas and take care of the Gaza thorn in their side, which ought to be soon], and that period of peace is necessary. It’s the gap, the timeframe, that reveals Ezekiel 38 is on the horizon.
Oh, when reading Ezekiel 38
it is vital to continue on in the chronological order of Ezekiel 37 [which has occurred and continues to take place], Ezekiel 38,
with Ezekiel 39. The aftermath. The cleanup. What comes next?
We all want to know what comes next, right?
Well, eventually, and this is what matters most — either eternity in heaven with the LORD and all the goodness of God and what heaven is and will be for those there, or eternity in hell, and all the misery, pain, writhing, screaming, gnashing, ugliness, perpetual fiery heat and pain unquenchable. Oh, and it’s a lake of fire, along with a bottomless pit. Not a good combination — to be in forever, and forever, and forever, and forever, and forever, and this redundancy doesn’t even scratch the surface of how long eternity is. A human being would break their brain, no matter how smart they may be, if they could truly fathom… E T E R N I T Y…
Better get ready. Because one of the two places has a place for us.
Where do you long to go forever? Oh, one last thing — do you like being around liars? Tormentors? Those sick in the mind, diseased hearts so ugly and corrupted? Well, there’s one place where the guy who made all those horrible traits possible, he’s known as the father of lies, the creator of confusion and mayhem, the reason there is death — he is the head guy in the one place. This is where you can shrug things off, say downright stupid stuff like, “Well, all my friends will be there,” or “Wow, it’ll be a great party with all the dead rockers and celebrities there,” because it will be lonely there. Fearful, unlike any known fear. Pain, such as any known pain.
Not a party. And if all your friends will be there? These are not your true friends. For they desire you to suffer in pain and separation, unspeakable. That’s a friend?
In Jesus, there is true Friendship. Unlike Friendship from any other. He died for you. What a Friend we have in Jesus. Are any of your friends willing to do that for you? Then come back from death three days later to speak with you, eat with you, having died and conquered death for the forgiveness of your sin? I didn’t think so. There has been, only will be One Sinless, Blameless Man who was truly fully a human man, while also fully truly God on earth.
Oh, yeah, Israel — Iran.
Watch. Listen. Prepare. Be ready. Know. Discern well. Increase in faith and in the Word of God.
We’re in the prelude to the Ezekiel 38 war. Coming sooner than coming later. Then? Then all God’s people who know His Son, the LORD Jesus Christ as Savior, Friend, and Lord of their lives will be gone. Every one of us. Gone! Either right before or right after Ezekiel 38.
Then what? Oh, you want to know, need to know, but you don’t want to be here. When the Antichrist and his false prophet will be revealed to the world. And the greatest fascism, the greatest tyranny and evil the world has ever seen, or will see, will be exposed. Endured. Tried to live through. Unaware of this? Not believing this? Please, read all of the Book of Revelation. God wants people to know.
You know how the IDF, the Israeli military, warns people, regular people, not the jihadists, not the weaponized terrorist groups against Israel, but how the IDF warns populations what is about to come? To prepare? To make themselves safe? Because great wrath and pain are to be inflicted?
God does the same thing. Actually, the Israelis got it from God.
Read Ezekiel 37, 38, and 39.
Read all of Revelation.
And Daniel.
And while having The Book in hand, eyes within it, heart within it, read Joel, Obidiah, Nahum, Zechariah, Jeremiah, and, well, all of it. Because time is flying by. Each day, there is less time to become equipped, made ready, from the nourishing Word of God to sustain us, guide us, and help us in a time such as this.

President Trump Ends The 12-Day War – But Did He Just Start The Countdown To Ezekiel 38?
June 24, 2025

In a thunderclap announcement that reverberated across the geopolitical landscape, President Donald Trump declared that he has brokered a ceasefire between Israel and Iran–effectively ending what he dubbed “THE 12 DAY WAR.”
For many supporters of Israel, this may sound like the long-awaited breath of peace after weeks of anxiety and conflict. But scratch beneath the surface, and a far more sobering question arises: Has a war ended–or has a prophecy begun?
Trump, never one for understatement, posted on Truth Social:
“On the assumption that everything works as it should, which it will, I would like to congratulate both Countries, Israel and Iran, on having the Stamina, Courage, and Intelligence to end, what should be called, ‘THE 12 DAY WAR.'”
But it’s what he said next that reveals the deeper truth. Trump openly thanked Iran for giving advance notice to the U.S. before its retaliatory missile strike on Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar. This warning allowed U.S. troops to evacuate safely and resulted in no casualties. That’s not an act of vengeance. That’s a white flag disguised in smoke and theatrics.
Iran’s Propaganda Surrender
Let’s be honest. This wasn’t a glorious stand by the Islamic Republic. It was theater–performed for domestic consumption and meant to hide an undeniable fact: Iran blinked. Their retaliation was carefully choreographed, not to destroy but to appear strong. Why? Because their real fear wasn’t Israel. It was regime collapse.
Iran knows that its aging military, fragile economy, and fractured society can’t endure a prolonged conflict–especially not with the U.S. and Israel united in strategic coordination. This is not the behavior of a nation seeking revenge. This is the behavior of a regime desperate to surrender without looking like it surrendered. The warning to the U.S. wasn’t a diplomatic courtesy. It was a survival tactic.
Their nuclear program? Crushed.
Missile stockpiles? Decimated.
Military leadership? Systematically eliminated.
Iran’s aggression has been shattered–its bark exposed as bluff. And Israel, though battered by global criticism, has done what it had to do: defend itself with decisive, targeted power.
Victory… or Intermission?
So has Israel won? Yes and no.
Yes, if the objective was to decapitate Iran’s ability to threaten the region with nuclear weapons or long-range strikes. Yes, if the goal was to eliminate key military assets and send a sobering message to Tehran’s proxies. But no–if you think this is the end.
Tyrannies don’t disappear when they lose. They retreat, reload, and reach for help. And that brings us to the heart of the matter: this moment of quiet may be nothing more than a strategic pause before prophetic acceleration.
The Countdown to Ezekiel 38?
Ezekiel 38 describes a time when Israel will dwell in “unwalled villages”, a phrase often interpreted by biblical scholars to mean a time of security, peace, and confidence. It is precisely then that an unexpected invasion comes from the north–a coalition of hostile nations led by Gog (Russia), Persia (modern Iran), and allies like Gomer (Turkey).
Could that be where we’re heading?
Let’s consider the landscape:
Iran is no longer capable of mounting a solo military threat. Its nuclear dream is in ruins.
Hezbollah–once a fierce regional power–has suffered immense damage in recent months. It is a shadow of its former self.
Hamas, too, is likely to face decisive action next. Its tunnels, weapons, and leadership are being systematically targeted.
The Abraham Accords, once stalled, now look primed to expand rapidly. With Iran on the ropes, Arab nations see Israel not as an enemy–but as a strategic partner.
Saudi Arabia is quietly warming toward normalization. Jordan and Egypt remain commited to their peace treaties with Israel.
And America–at least under Trump’s guidance–is still acting as a protector, not a restrainer.
This constellation of events is not random. It is prophetic in tone and strategic in timing.
Could we be entering a period where Israel truly dwells in safety, surrounded by peace deals and strong military dominance? If so, then Ezekiel’s prophecy is more than a distant echo–it may be ticking like a countdown clock.
Because once Israel is at peace–truly at peace–the next move is not theirs. It belongs to the enemies gathering in secret.
Don’t Mistake Silence for Security
Yes, we can be grateful that rockets aren’t flying and soldiers aren’t dying. But we must not let momentary silence lull us into false security.
Iran may be down–but it is not alone. The Bible tells us plainly: they will return–but not without help. Russia, already emboldened in Ukraine, is testing the West’s resolve. Turkey, with its neo-Ottoman ambitions, continues to flirt with both NATO and radical Islamism. And China–though not part of the Ezekiel 38 coalition–stands ready to shape the world order in favor of tyrants.
Iran will not rise alone. But it will rise again–with allies, in a confederation unlike anything the modern Middle East has ever seen.
Peace or Prophetic Prelude?
Trump’s ceasefire may have ended a war. But it may also have triggered something far more significant. The 12-Day War wasn’t just about missiles and headlines–it may have been the last necessary blow to neutralize Iran enough to fulfill Ezekiel 38‘s conditions.
If that’s true, we must be spiritually alert, politically discerning, and prophetically grounded. A time of peace may indeed be coming for Israel–but it will not last forever. And the next war may not be won by iron domes or diplomacy–but by divine intervention.
Watch. Pray. Prepare.
The countdown may have already begun.
