Contrast this with the Nigerian government’s resolute inaction in the face of near-daily jihad murders of Christians, at the hands of Fulanis and Boko Haram. Would the army and police ever raid a mosque to march away a group of jihadis? What do you think?

“EXCLUSIVE: Army, Police Invade Enugu Church, March 50 Members Away Over Alleged IPOB Membership,” Sahara Reporters, May 30, 2021:

Nigerian Army and police operatives in the early hours of Sunday stormed a church on Owerri Road, Enugu State, marching away over 50 members over their suspected membership of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

SaharaReporters obtained a video of the incident which showed the operatives in commando style, molesting the members as they raised their two hands and were searched.

The church service came to an abrupt end.

“The Nigeria police and military have just stormed a church in Owerri Road, Enugu State, molesting over 50 men, both old and young while matching them to an unknown destination.

“We are bringing this to the attention of the world. The lives of these men should not be wasted for no crime committed. They were only at a place of worship today being Sunday the 30th of May 2021 and no arms were found with them,” a source said.

SaharaReporters had on Wednesday reported how army and police operatives had been raiding communities in the South-East region, including the Orlu, Njaba, Oru East and Orsu Local Government Areas of Imo State; Ihiala and Nnewi South local government areas of Anambra State.
