Jesus Christ, the Servant of Jehovah Elyon: Isaiah 42

CHAPTER 42
1 Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.
2 He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street.
3 A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth.
4 He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law.
5 ¶ Thus saith God the LORD, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein:
6 I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;
7 To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.
8 I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.
9 Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.
10 Sing unto the LORD a new song, and his praise from the end of the earth, ye that go down to the sea, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof.
11 Let the wilderness and the cities thereof lift up their voice, the villages that Kedar doth inhabit: let the inhabitants of the rock sing, let them shout from the top of the mountains.
12 Let them give glory unto the LORD, and declare his praise in the islands.
13 The LORD shall go forth as a mighty man, he shall stir up jealousy like a man of war: he shall cry, yea, roar; he shall prevail against his enemies.
14 I have long time holden my peace; I have been still, and refrained myself: now will I cry like a travailing woman; I will destroy and devour at once.
15 I will make waste mountains and hills, and dry up all their herbs; and I will make the rivers islands, and I will dry up the pools.
16 And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them.
17 ¶ They shall be turned back, they shall be greatly ashamed, that trust in graven images, that say to the molten images, Ye are our gods.
18 Hear, ye deaf; and look, ye blind, that ye may see.
19 Who is blind, but my servant? or deaf, as my messenger that I sent? who is blind as he that is perfect, and blind as the LORD’S servant?
20 Seeing many things, but thou observest not; opening the ears, but he heareth not.
21 The LORD is well pleased for his righteousness’ sake; he will magnify the law, and make it honourable.
22 But this is a people robbed and spoiled; they are all of them snared in holes, and they are hid in prison houses: they are for a prey, and none delivereth; for a spoil, and none saith, Restore.
23 Who among you will give ear to this? who will hearken and hear for the time to come?
24 Who gave Jacob for a spoil, and Israel to the robbers? did not the LORD, he against whom we have sinned? for they would not walk in his ways, neither were they obedient unto his law.
25 Therefore he hath poured upon him the fury of his anger, and the strength of battle: and it hath set him on fire round about, yet he knew not; and it burned him, yet he laid it not to heart.

How is it that Christ is both LORD and servant of the LORD?
Thomas,
I am replying to you yet again in the hope you ask this not out of contention and to enter into great debate, but because you sincerely lack understanding and are asking in an attempt to understand.
While most people on earth do not deny that “a man named Jesus” lived a long time ago the vast majority of them, and including some calling themselves Christians, though they are not anything Christian, refuse to believe Jesus of Nazareth, born of a virgin, was and is the Son of God, God Himself made into flesh come to earth to fulfill the Scriptures and words of the prophets, which are the word of God.
Jesus is Christ, the Messiah for all people who will believe upon Him and take Him as Lord of their lives. Jesus is our Lord, or He ought to be if a person desires to be pleasing and acceptable unto God and to know what eternal life is.
Jesus is Lord for and to all people. Either those who will believe and follow Him while they have the opportunity in this life, or they will acknowledge Him as Lord at the end of history on this earth as it has been known.
God is also the Lord. The Lord our God.
A person with faith, believing in things unseen, believing in every word in the word of God, believes and lives their lives accepting and trusting in the Godhead.
God the Father. God is Spirit. God is the only living true God. The Only One.
God is also Jesus Christ the Lord. God who came to earth in the flesh as a man and who taught and lived among us only to be rejected of us and sacrificed for us – sacrificed willingly. He knew before the creation of the earth He would come to earth to live and die for the sins of all men and all women because of the natures and sin of men and women, and that no other sacrifice would be acceptable. No other act could bring men or women salvation. Only His shed blood could wash away the sins of all men and women. And none is without sin. Jesus Christ was and is the only man to ever have lived without blemish, without spot -without sin.
In the Godhead there is also the Holy Ghost, the Holy Spirit of God.
The three are One.
Jesus Christ is the Word of God.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made. In Him was life; and the life was the Light of men. And the Light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
John 1:1-5
The word “Word” in verse one in the Greek is Logos. In Aramaic it is Memra. The Greek term means a thought or concept and the utterance or expression of that thought. That designation, Logos, of Jesus Christ is peculiarly felicitous because in Jesus Christ are embodied all of the treasures of the divine wisdom and collective “thought” of God the Father. He is from eternity through eternity.

If you are of a mind and lacking in understanding that “there was a man named Jesus who lived once a long time ago and He was a good man and teacher” and you lack further understanding and cannot comprehend how there is One God, Thee God who is Spirit, who is the Father, and God is also Jesus Christ, as the Living Word, the Word of God, the Voice of God, and also another part of God is the Holy Ghost, the Holy Spirit of God which is the Spirit of Jesus Christ, the Spirit of God imparted and indwelling in the hearts of men and women who commit their lives to serve and follow and believe upon God the Father and Jesus Christ the Lord – if you cannot see this from out of the darkness and you can cease from the errant compunction to contest the word of God, and the Word of God, and you for once yielded? Surrendered? And sought the truth pertaining to the Truth and the Light? And you refused to give the prince of this earth, the philosophies of the men of this earth room and credence and determined to surrender and give the same berth and credence to the word of God and the Word of God…as the Living Word of God? You might come from the darkness and into the light and come from a lack of understanding to one of understanding.
It may seem impossible to the darkened heart that it is possible to have three distinct Living, real Individual Beings form one Entity. But it also is the one thing, one of God’s many truths which make complete sense when one comes to understand the ways and word of God. It isn’t impossible at all.
You have contested and contended everything all along the way, Thomas. You have made a point of writing to me about spiritual matters as if you understand and I could not possibly and what I believe is sheer myth and ridiculous, but in your fight to defend the limitless power of the spiritual you continually deny the power and Spirit of God and what He is capable of and not only capable of but what He is, and what He has accomplished.
What spirit do you then serve Thomas?
Do not reply. With your contention, your refusal to acknowledge Jesus of Nazareth as Jesus Christ the Lord and as such God come to earth, and you have made it abundantly clear your beliefs regarding the Sacrificial Lamb of God and the shedding of Christ’s blood as the propitiation for the sins of all men and women, and the shedding of blood in order to receive the only possible salvation I know what spirit it is you do serve.
Again, it is my hope and prayer you one day will come out from the darkness and he who it is you now serve and walk into the Light and serve the Lord our God and serve God the Father and Jesus Christ as Lord of your life.
Almighty God, Jehovah Elyon, God the Father is Lord.
Jesus Christ, who is God Himself and was with God the Father from the beginning, from eternity before there was an earth, is also God.
Jesus Christ is or should be our Lord.
Jesus Christ was and is also the Servant of God the Father doing the will of the Father, doing the will of God.
instead of attacking the Holy Scriptures piecemeal and in an effort of contention and doubt and to debate in your unbelief, and only reading select words, verses, or passages, perhaps your time would be well spent in asking God to open your heart, your eyes, your ears to His complete Living Word in His word and not merely read it – but truly take it to heart and study it. Not out of contention.
Let me ask you something Thomas. How far have you ever gotten in life in any direction, in any pursuit, in any endeavor, with any person, in any thing…when you have had a chip upon your shoulder and a stance of contention and argument and total disbelief in whatever lie before you?
Is this how you approach everything and everyone in this life?
Then why do you do so with the word of God? And the Word of God?
