Part of what I do operating A Crooked Path is get on image sites, such as Bing or Google, and search for photographs to include in every published piece. Know how there is a saying that a picture is worth 1,000 words? Key in a search for Israel, Iran, and Ezekiel on Bing or Google image search.

It’s very telling just how many images come up with famous pastors, nationally or internationally known, and along with a photoshopped image of them with some text, the overwhelming majority are playing up the recent Israel-Iran conflict with sensationalism, with the text along the lines of “Ezekiel 38 HAPPENING NOW!”

Instead of calming, Biblically, prophetically accurate words, too many resorted to sensationalism. Probably to boost their online numbers, YouTube likes and subscribers, and get more backsides in the building and more mammon in the treasury.

Or so it seems, considering the hype. Playing on people’s emotions. And here’s the thing — this is playing up to believers who ought to be Bible fluent, Bible literate, KNOWING what was occurring was NOT the Ezekiel 38 Gog Magog War.

Because it is highly unlikely that non-believers are even aware of Ezekiel, let alone the words of Ezekiel 38.

Come on, folks. Really?

In these perilous times, these last of the last days, what is needed, REQUIRED, is clear-headedness, accuracy, calm [aren’t we to have a peace unlike any other in Jesus, with the indwelling of the Holy Spirit?]. How does this come about? By opening the Holy Bible and reading, studying, KNOWING the words of God. By going to calm, accurate, sound doctrine, pastors/preachers and people, commentators who refrain from hype and sensationalism.

Pastor Barry Stagner, Amir Tsarfati, Jan Markell, pastor Jack Hibbs, pastor Greg Laurie, and a few others are of sound doctrine without sensationalizing. Just the facts. Just the truth. Just the word of God.

There is no reason to fear, or to let your heart, spirit, and mind be troubled if born from above, born anew by faith in Jesus and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.

Yes, the world situation is bad. Horrible, really. Far worse than people are being told, or think. Wickedness, turning from God, perverting the Word of God, increased violence, madness, demonic activity, and lawlessness are all on the rise. With no leveling off. No matter who is in the White House behind the Resolute Desk. If it’s someone sane, speaking of the goodness of God, working to do things right, all that means is evil is going to ramp things up. Put more effort into making more noise, creating more confusion, and adding to the fear and anxiety that are already rampant.

Don’t fall for it. Don’t get caught up in the whirlwind, the tsunami of dung from the world passing as news and information.

What to do?

First, foremost, always, daily and nightly — go to the Holy Bible. From beginning to end. Omitting nothing. There is no old part and new part. It’s ONE COMPLETE BOOK. Everything needed is contained within its pages and words. There is no Jewish part and Christian part. There is no difference, to God, be Jew or Gentile, who has faith in Him and His Son, the LORD and Savior Jesus Christ, Yeshua Hamashiac.

What took place for 12 days recently was not the Ezekiel 38 war.

There didn’t need to be a ceasefire to know that. Reading God’s Word would have made things clear. If only people would read God’s Word. Believe it. Live it.

But then, people allow that voice, you know the one, to speak louder and have more impact than it ought to. Especially in those professing faith in Jesus, those born from above.

Look up. Look up things in God’s Word. Get up on the wall and be a vigilant watchman or watchwoman on the wall. Not reclined in the La-Z-Boy recliner [complete with auto-pilot zoning out of the mind function], waiting to be fed from the glowing screen before you, not even having the remote in hand, because you don’t know where the remote is.

Get the hands, the eyes, the heart, spirit, and the mind in the Holy Bible.

Gravitate to sound doctrine, calm, accurate pastors, commentators.

Got itching ears? Clean them! Listen to the truth within God’s Word, not to all the noise, the fables.

Trust in the LORD. Trust God. He knows what He’s doing. And why. And He has everything under control.

You think it’s bad now?

Just wait…

And if wanting to avoid it when it REALLY gets bad, horrible, unlivable as it will be the most difficult time in earth’s history to be alive — after the Rapture, when the Antichrist and false prophet are ruling a worldwide fascism unlike anything ever known, well, to avoid that it takes faith in Jesus, it takes repentance, it takes confessing of sin, it takes a true desire to have Jesus as LORD of one’s life, it takes humbling oneself, and asking the LORD to forgive you, SAVE you, heal you, help you, and lead you. And you allow those things to happen. Out of love and faith and hope. And joy.

Yes. For that is the only way to eternal life. The forgiveness of sin. To see, to hear, to know as you never have before.
