If one time could be pinpointed in America as a point of national turning, where the foundations crumbled and moral absolutes gave way to decadence and a loss of common decency — look no further than the 1960s.
“That was a genuine inflection point,” said Focus on the Family’s Tim Goeglein, author of “Stumbling Toward Utopia: How the 1960s Turned Into a National Nightmare and How We Can Revive the American Dream.”
From Goeglein: “It was a moral and social revolution — a cataclysm of the first order of not only a sexual revolution … but a comprehensive remaking on the part of progressives of all of our institutions.”
Then came Barack Obama.
Then came even bigger, even larger, even more sweeping revolutions.
“Barack Obama came directly out of central casting of the moral and social outbreak,” Goeglein said. “Rules of Radicals — [the book] of course profoundly embraced by Barack Obama, internalized and used as a tool.”
