Why pay attention to what is taking place in the United Kingdom if you don’t live there? Because the perception and stubborn position of only paying attention to what is happening in the country in which you live demonstrates significant ignorance. And this doesn’t involve being a sophisticated traveler such as Rick Steves of the PBS program “Rick Steves Europe” espouses we all should be. If living anywhere presently in order to better understand events where you live it benefits to pay close attention to events elsewhere.

Why? Because it isn’t about any particular human government system no matter what that system may be, or appear to be. Not now. Not any longer. It’s long overdue to set aside all that you’ve been taught in secular schools, told things by parents that pertained to government, history, politics, and worldly matters.

Because much of what everyone has been taught in the world, by the world has always been a combination of ingredients. Bias, misinformation, misdirection, censorship, editing, fear, to maintain power, to indoctrinate, and thus create within individuals a stew concocted of the worst ingredients. What kind of stew does that then make?

One that once put into the pot stirred frequently and left to cook arrives at the place where in a place of great history, a history of being a bastion of strong, clear, Biblical teaching and belief, a place where many of the greatest evangelists, preachers, churches, ministers, and people of God once inhabited that place now not merely distains Christians and Christianity and the preaching of the Word of God is one of the rarest things, the truth is reviled and the lie adored and worshipped, the serving of Satan predominates and the serving of Christ is punished — that place now would much rather have an Islamist as their leader within their highest political office than they would have a Bible-believing, Bible-living Christian.

If you think this is an isolated matter in some far away place and in no way has anything to do with you, or where you live you couldn’t be further from residing in reality and the truth. You fall into the category of persons that can be seen and heard regularly on local and national news broadcasts when something occurs in their neighborhood or where they live that always, always, always says the same words as the last person living in such delusion, failure to pay attention, think — as they almost always utter, “This kind of thing never happens here! How could this happen here!?”

It’s what most certainly was heard in Egypt when Pharoh kept hardening his heart against Moses, Aaron, and the people of Israel, it’s what most certainly was heard in Italy in the 1920s, in Germany in the late 1920s and early 1930s, in America in the late 1950s and early to mid-1960s, and has been thought, written, uttered and heard around the world through the ages.

All because most people live lives of delusion, true isolation from the truth, refusing to ever really pay attention to where they live and certainly only giving cursory glances elsewhere, as directed to look, for the duration instructed, by whatever misleading indoctrination media and source of their choosing.

When it would behoove folks to begin paying much closer attention, for however long it takes to see, know and understand better that what is happening over there, elsewhere, not close to home is really knocking at their door. For none of what is happening is due to a particular human political system, no matter that system or where it may exist — for everything that is happening everywhere around and within everyone is exactly the same. The spiritual war. Disguised and attired to appear as something isn’t, like a billionaire all unshowered, in tattered clothing, unshaven, unkept, and smelling sleeping off being drunk or injected with a drug, or a homeless drug addict being attired in fine evening wear, getting out of the limo in front of the poshest trendiest most expensive hotel or restaurant within 1,000 miles.

Kind of like that. And almost everyone falls for the disguises, being misled, misdirected, and kept otherwise occupied believing the lies their leaders, their political ideology of choice tells them, evil, yes, evil knowing their biases, their weaknesses, their innate human nature.

As almost all the people truly turn from God, from Christ, from the Holy Spirit, and from the Word of God having been given over to their reprobate, wicked, unrighteous evil minds to serve the darkness, love the darkness that only leads to eternal death.

Imagine that.

Evidence? Why in greatly desiring to have an Islamist as the head of their government rather than a Bible-believing evangelical Christian — in a place where Christianity once reigned and the pure Word of god was preached and believed. As one clear example.

Imagine that…

Can’t happen where you reside?

Sorry, dear one, friend, perhaps foe, an enemy of God, an enemy of the Word [as we, dear true Christians once were ourselves] — it already has and evil in all its myriad forms, shapes, sounds and ways is growing faster where you reside than is the inflation rate, Or the lies listened to yesterday to today. What will tomorrow bring?

Humm…

Will you be a person strong, firm, and solid in the faith of the Lord Jesus Christ, in God, in the Holy Spirit, and in the whole Holy Bible? Or among the masses preferring the darkness, what may appear as light and the path to take but is truly only darkness and death?

Your choice.

Wherever you may live.

Decide while you still have life.

Today would be a good day since none of us knows for certain if we’ll have a tomorrow here, or next week, or next year.

Am I wrong?

Are you one to prefer an Islamist, a socialist, a communist, a dictator, or an atheist over a Christian person in a position of authority?

You really hate God, hate the Lord Jesus Christ, hate the Holy Spirit, and hate the inerrant infallible living and active Word of God that much do you?

Unless repenting, confess your sin and come out of the darkness and into the Truth, the Light, the Way leading to Life you’re going to have an eternity of suffering and pain beyond human comprehension.

Don’t believe that?

Well, I’ll continue believing what I do and we’ll see what happens. If I’m wrong and ignorant believing in God, in Jesus as Lord of lords, King of kings, the only Saviour and way to eternal life, and everything in the Holy Bible is true, actually happened or will happen and it’s like you say it is we die and then there’s nothing. We just die…

But what if, what if what not only asI believe, but countless millions have throughout the ages, and millions presently do that there is One True God, that the personage known as Jesus, Who the people of the world hate, take His name in vain constantly —why only His name? — was truly fully human while also being fully truly God while on earth exactly how and when the Bible says, and everything in the Bible is real, true, real history, real history to come and there is a heaven, there is a hell, and there is a Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ and how the Bible states the world as it has been known will end and then what will come — the believers, the people of God residing in a new body, with a new name, to live in heaven, Paradise as God originally intended for His creation to reside — eternally — while the unbelieving, the overwhelming majority who hated His Son, who reviled the truth and mocked the Bible and despised Christians and Christianity thinking it was just another one of those wrong religions and not for you — and you end up in hell. For eternity.

Hmmm…

One of us is right. The other is wrong.

And you know what? If you’re right, okay. What then? It just ends and nothing else? Okay.

But what if…?

And you really believe the choosing of an Islamist over a Bible-believing Christian is merely a matter of human politics, human government, and individual choice? Really?

I hope and pray if that is the case that you will finally pause and take time to do some very serious thinking because eternity is a long, long, long, really long time.

And what if…?

Read on.

Britons prefer a Muslim to an evangelical Christian as top political leader, survey says

The debate in Scotland around the candidacy of evangelical Kate Forbes shows that orthodox Christian values such as heterosexual marriage are viewed as disqualifying for political leadership.

The race to become Scotland’s next First Minister (FM) has opened a profound debate over the role of personal religious beliefs in political leadership.

Kate Forbes, Finance Minister and often tipped as the natural successor of FM Nicola Sturgeon (who unexpectedly resigned in January), has been at the centre of a large social and mediatic debate about faith and politics which has transcended the limits of the Scottish National Party (SNP).

Forbes, a Bible-believing Christian who is an outspoken member of the Free Church of Scotland, is pro-life and has expressed its doubts about the gender self-identification law passed in December by the government she is part of. Forbes also said her faith is clear about the definition of marriage (a man and a woman) although she also underlined that she did not aspire to be FM of Scotland to amend established laws supported by a majority of the population.

Despite attacks in the media and the loss of support among senior SNP leaders, Kate Forbes continues to lead the surveys among pro-independence voters. Hustings (local debates with party members) with the other two candidates aspiring to lead the party and the Scottish government started on Wednesday: her main rival, Humza Yousaf, is a liberal Muslim and is thought to have most support among the senior leadership of the party.

Same-sex marriage and abortion as filters

In this context, a survey conducted by YouGov for the Theos Think Tank showed that the vision of marriage of Bible-believing Christians has become a solid obstacle to access positions of political leadership.

A 50% of the over 2,000 people surveyed in Great Britain said they do not agree that someone opposed to same–sex marriage is allowed to have a senior political leadership role (51% in England, 44% in Scotland).

Among the youngest voters (18-24), only 24% would say someone holding such a view of marriage should be “allowed to hold a top government spot”.

Moreover, 55% responded that being against abortion disqualifies someone from holding a top government role.

Better a Muslim than an evangelical Christian

Asked about specific religious beliefs, evangelical Christians are the faith group less tolerated when it comes to political leadership in Great Britain. 67% of the surveyed say Roman Catholics should be allowed to hold a top political post, while Muslims (64%) and orthodox Jews come close (62%). The number of those who say evangelical Christians should be allowed to lead in politics falls to 53%, with 19% saying they should not and 29% don’t know.
