ACP — A Crooked Path
THIS IS THE STORY OF THE CENTURY! Even though this century is only twenty and a half years old!
People ought to be utterly ashamed of themselves and repent! ESPECIALLY those professing to be Christians, authentic, born anew, genuine article disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ — who have a far greater interest in the affairs of this world, in this world, than they do in God our Father, in the Lord Jesus Christ who took upon Himself, though He was sinless, spotless, blameless EVERY SIN OF EVERY PERSON WHO PROFESSES FAITH IN HIM, a much greater suffering than the nails and spear that pierced His temporal human flesh, being God Himself come to earth, not partaking of any sin or evil, and taking EVERY SIN OF EVERY PERSON PROFESSING SINCERE FAITH IN HIM IN HIMSELF, thus being separated from God the Father during that timeframe on the cross!
I publish all manner of information and stories on this website.
And this is here today because I have more vile, evil hackers from Russia, Eastern Europe, and Communist China “visiting” and trying to break in and cause havoc and destruction here than I do folks searching out the faithful, Scriptural, godly, of-the-faith additions published here.
Oh, many folks come by and visit. And you know what they read? The current event news articles. Bypassing anything pertaining to the Scriptures, to a video sermon, to something from C.H. Spurgeon or another long gone pastor or Christian writer — true Christian writer. Folks come, oh, yes, they drop by. And all they appear consumed with and having an interest in are the worldly things. The worldly affairs. The worldly matters.
It must be wonderful to be so understanding, so aware, so deep, so knowledgeable, so wise and equipped in the spiritual matters, in the writings and teachings of the Bible, with an understanding surpassing that of any known and understood to be sound teaching Christian writer of the past (with only a few of the present). To know everything there is to know spiritually so as to bypass it all and only dwell on, concern oneself, focus on worldly things. Worldy matters.
All manner of time for the world.
No time for God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit or to spend time growing closer to God, the Lord Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, or within the word of God, or within a greater, deeper prayer life.
Ahh, to be so perfected here on earth!
I only long to be, wish to be like you!
I have wrestled with totally ending putting any current events news articles on ACP because it is revealed to me, via all the information available to me as the administrator of this place, those appear to be all anyone coming here is interested in. At least in a ratio of about 200 to 1. 200 interested in the worldly. Only one in anything of a spiritual nature presented here for one and all to partake of.
Another true sign of the times.
Another true sign of the last of the last days. The lack of interest in God, in the Lord Jesus Christ, no interest whatsoever it appears in the Holy Spirit, and why read the Bible when we all seem to know it all and do not need further meat or nourishment from the Scriptures?
I will continue on. I will continue on doing what I have been doing for a bit over 10 years here now. Current event stories I sincerely attempt to shed light on the last days, that they have a bearing on what is in Scripture and reveal the times, the true nature and heart of man will continue to be posted here.
But come on, folks, anyone out there in need? Interested in spiritual things of God? Of Jesus? Of the Holy Spirit? Of the Holy Bible? Lessons to learn? Words to hear to take to heart for our lives?
Or are we all so perfect, so knowledgeable, so THERE we do not need such daily nourishment?
Really?
If so, I sin by my envy for your vast and all-encompassing understanding and knowledge!
For I am in need of daily nourishment, being fed by God, by the Lord Jesus Christ, by the Holy Spirit (especially), by the inerrant infallible living and active word of God (especially reading, praying on, and asking the Holy Spirit to teach me, guide me, help me for I am sorely in constant need and am but a gnat, nothing at this point compared to what can be afforded by God, by Jesus, by faith, by the Holy Spirit and turning to the word of God!)
But that’s just me I guess. Or only a few others at this point.
Oh, to be as wise, as educated, as equipped, as prepared, as knowledgeable, as full of wisdom and understanding as so many out there not needing any spiritual food at this point!
Oh my!
I have such envy for all of those out there not in need of any further spiritual food, and not having time to eat of those matters — but so much time for the world and worldly matters.

Shame on us, shame on all of us!
I know pastors that have no problem spending time on the golf course, or watching a golf tournament on TV but get restless and uneasy if someone prays aloud for longer than 60 seconds or so. And the same for women. No different.
We sure have time endlessly for shopping, no problem there. Time for television (and, please, let’s not hear how all that is watched is “educational” and “good” by those professing to be “Christians”. Going to games, playing games, spending so much time on everything other than on God, on Jesus, on and with the Holy Spirit, on and with the Holy Bible, in prayer (other than asking for THINGS for ourselves!)
No time for church services. If we attend one on a Sunday morning that’s more than our fill for the week. Or longer. Heaven forbid we should actually have a church offering evening or mid-week services and attend those as well! Most now avoiding church altogether, or making every excuse as to why they can’t find a church and attend a church regularly. As if they are so perfect only a perfect church will suit them, or they demand that church suit them rather than they obeying the word of God and submitting to God.
No time for God the Father who provides all for us. Every breath. Every heartbeat. Every morsel of food and drink. Every thread of clothing. Every protection afforded. Let alone the greatest gift of all, salvation through faith in the shed blood, and resurrection of His Son, Jesus Christ the Lord! When we all only deserve God’s wrath for our sin and disobedience. All we deserve is the fiery depths of eternal hell yet God took time, so much mercy, so much love, so much compassion to come to this earth, blameless, sinless, to be fully man and also fully God. To teach us. To then become sin for us! To go to the cross and to die for those who will believe in Him, have faith in Him, obey Him, and thus through their faith receive the GIFT OF FREE GRACE AND ETERNAL LIFE from God the Father.
But we don’t have time for God.
We don’t have time for Jesus.
We don’t have time for the Holy Spirit.
We don’t have time for the Bible.
We don’t have time to pray.
We don’t have time to go to a Bible-teaching church.
But we have time to shop, to watch TV, to play golf, other games, go to worldly shows, performances and concerts. To waste so much time.
But no time for the spiritual matters.
Now do not misunderstand — I am not writing this from a selfish viewpoint, concerned about folks visiting ACP. No, I am writing this out of operating this specific place. That combines current events, news articles, and information, along with spiritual materials and I see what is what. What is read, opened, and what is ignored and neglected.
Think of it as a real-time, large-scale ongoing bit of accurate research. This place is one of the few, if the only one that combines material as it does, thereby affording the ability to discern what is being focused on, read most, what people are drawn to. And as a professed Christian, faith-based website? I mean it can’t be missed by the large header at the top of the page — no one can say, “Oh, I thought this was Newsweek online, excuse me…”
I get daily and weekly and monthly reports on everything pertaining to this place. How many visits, or views in a month. Even from what countries. How many were evil attempts, hackers trying to get in. What was read. When. How much.
And since this place is kind of different than any other place in that it combines current events, news, and information along with the spiritual matters of Christianity, of God, of Jesus, of the Holy Spirit, of the word of God? I can see what matters to those coming here.
And if you consider yourself a Christian?
As I do?
Shame on us.
Shame on ALL of us for our priorities, where we focus, what we make matter most, what we take for granted, how wise we imagine ourselves and not in need of much spiritual meat or teaching, and how drawn we are to the worldly matters over the matters, words and ways and will of God!
These times we live in ought to reveal to us, show us, make so clear we need to spend far less time on the worldly, on self, on distracting matters and much more time, MUCH MORE TIME with God, for God, with Jesus, for Jesus, with the Holy Spirit, with and for the gospel, the word of God, in prayer…
…a light in all this darkness!
