To the person who recently bought the book I wrote

I cannot convey here in words the emotion upon checking my email to discover someone had bought a copy of Wilderness: A Crooked Path to the Promised Land.

It startled me. Why? Because it’s the first copy of the book I wrote back in 2009/2010, to be bought in probably three to four years. So, it was startling.

I’m grateful. I hope that you enjoy it and are not disappointed.

Why am I writing this and addressing you? Because on page 71, there’s a poem titled Head in the Clouds.

That was written in one sitting one night in 2009. Seventeen years ago. Back then, while being renewed of mind and spirit by the Supernatural power of the Holy Spirit, I was of the mind that there was certainly going to be a Rapture, but that it didn’t take place until the end of the Great Tribulation when Jesus comes a Second and Final time to this earth.

Over the years, learning more, growing in faith and spiritual wisdom and discernment of God’s Word as led by the Holy Spirit, reading, studying, and meditating upon the inerrant, infallible, unchangeable, eternal, living, and active Word of God I have come to see clearly, hear better, understand greater and for quite a while now am convinced by being in God’s Word and in prayer, with sound teaching, come to know that, yes, there is coming a Rapture of God’s people to Him. In an instant. The twinkling of an eye — which is mighty quick. That amazing historical event that is coming will occur B.G.T.

Before Great Tribulation.

The time of the Gentiles will be sealed, though there will be some saved during the Great Tribulaiton who come to believe in Jesus as LORD and who refuse to take the mark of the beast in their flesh, but it will be the time for Israel, it will be the time for the Jews for seven years before the LORD Jesus Christ returns, and we, all those who faithfully believe, who are God’s people believing in His Son, Yeshua, will be coming with Him.

So, I hope that you enjoy the book and are not disappointed.

Yes, it was self-published.

It isn’t easy now to find a publisher interested in the type of poetry I wrote, and write now. Seventeen years ago, it was even more difficult. No one wanted to touch it. So, I had to self-publish, which has a stigma attached, as if it somehow isn’t a real book.

Mark Twain had to first self-publish The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. Perhaps familiar with the writer and that book.

Beatrix Potter had to self-publish The Tale of Peter Rabbit before it became the book and story it has.

Jane Austen and Sense and Sensibility…

The list goes on.

Now, I’m a realist. Objective. Having sold fewer than a hundred copies in seventeen years, I do not hold any hope for Wilderness: A Crooked Path to the Promised Land becoming successful, which is translated by sales. But it is successful to me. I was so on fire for so long, the words, the word pictures just flowed from me. Most of the poems were written in one sitting. Idea comes. Begin to write. It flowed. It ended. Another poem composed.

One upon the other they came. Before I knew it, there were a lot of them. Then it became a book.

But, please, take that one poem, Head in the Clouds for what it is. There is some sound substance to it, but I have made a 180-degree course adjustment with regard to when the Rapture occurs, thanks to rightly dividing God’s Word, being led by the Holy Spirit, and growing, maturing in my walk with the LORD and in His Word.

If you’re counted among God’s people, disciples of His Son, Jesus, LORD of lords, KING of kings, the Only Way to salvation, eternal life, heaven, and to be forever in the presence of God — see you in the clouds with our Savior! BEFORE the Great Tribulation.
