“For certain men have crept in unnoticed, who long ago were marked out for this condemnation, ungodly men, who turn the grace of our God into lewdness and deny the only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Jude 1:4

The following are not merely words from the apostle Paul to Timothy. These are words said, written, directed to EVERY person professing to be born again, following the LORD Jesus Christ to be aware of, and not only aware, but prepared to put into application, service daily:

“I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom: Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.”

2 Timothy 4:1-5

Following are two videos presented by Melissa Dougherty. If unfamiliar, it would behoove every person professing faith, as well as the unbeliever, to take the time to become aware of Melissa Dougherty. Listen. Learn. Apply. Be aware. Be equipped. Be prepared.

For residing in some altered reality, aloof, complacent, and lukewarm is the most dangerous territory to reside in.

Be honest.

Then, when arriving at the truth, awaken if having been slumbering, on autopilot, dwelling in an altered reality.

This Twisted View of Jesus Is Exploding in Popularity

You’ve probably heard stuff like “Christ is in everyone” or “Jesus just came to show us how to tap into our higher self.” It sounds super spiritual and maybe even somewhat Christian, because they throw in a few Bible scriptures to back it up. But it’s actually something completely different. It’s part of a growing belief called Christ Consciousness, and it’s everywhere right now. I used to believe this and thought it was what Jesus and the Bible taught. (I hope you get secondhand ick for me as you read that.)

People are using the Christian word “Christ” but twisting it into something Jesus never taught, while at the same time saying that Jesus taught this very thing. Both cannot be true. So what’s going on? In this video, I aim to provide a clear understanding of what Christ Consciousness truly is, its origins, how it’s leading many people away from the genuine gospel, and what we can do about it.

Sooo here’s what happened in order:

1. I saw this year’s lineup for the Kenneth Copeland Southwest Believers Convention. (SWBC.)

2. I was shocked at the leaders who were still aligning with Copeland (Bill Johnson, Creflo Dollar, Benny Hinn, etc), and I shared the lineup on social media.

3. After I shared this, someone pointed out that Creflo Dollar uses a translation called the “Mirror Translation.”

4. …the “what” translation? I then looked up said translation.

I. Was. SHOOKETH.

Turns out Creflo Dollar is just the tip of the iceberg. Many Word of Faith and Bethel leaders endorse and use this translation. This video is what I found. Here’s a quote from François du Toit, the creator of the Mirror that expresses the heart behind his paraphrase:

“The mission of Jesus was not to begin the Christian religion but to reveal and redeem the image and likeness of God in human form. He did not come as an example for us but of us. Much of popular Christian doctrine reduce the life and teaching of Jesus to yet another ‘display-window’ message, while the very intent of God was to uncover the blueprint life of our design in Christ as in a mirror, where he is introduced to us not as Christ in history, or Christ in outer space, nor even as Christ in a future event, but as Christ in you!”

Wow, a translation that teaches a different Gospel and says that you’re divine? Sounds like a bunch of theological nopey nonsense to me. And too many leaders are teaching this nonsense to others.
