Pastor Jack Hibbs of Calvary Chapel Chino Hills, California
UPDATE: While AB495 was not signed into law by California’s Governor Newsom, on August 19th, due in great part, or solely due to the large turnout of aware, caring, participating in their faith, standing for the word of God and what is right[eous] against evil, that does not mean that AB495 is dead and gone.
Evil does not ever rest. Does not surrender. Merely slithers away temporarily to reappear usually morphed, stronger, and appearing benign, as is its wont, as the constant lie and deception evil is.
We’re at war, folks. Those living in an altered reality professing to be Christians, Christ followers, who are content to show up once a week for an hour or so in their lukewarm abodes called church, to sing three weak songs about how they feel rather than singing true songs of praise and worship, then kind of listen to a 20 to 25 minute feel good pep talk, self-help psychology session, worldly philosophies presented so-called sermons [only 37% of American pastors hold a Biblical worldview] that omits sin, hell, repentance, being born again, salvation, Israel, mention of evil, omits the word of God, the times we live in, refuses relevancy preaching, teaching, exhorting the inerrant, infallible, unchangeable, eternal WHOLE word of God had better WAKE UP! Delusion, ultra-passivity, remaining unaware, inactive, asleep, lukewarm, status quo in their little bubble world, cozy in an altered reality, hasn’t been what is required in the spiritual war we’re all in. Hiding and denying isn’t working, is it?
Look around. Listen. Inhale. See, hear, smell the stench of rot within.
Oh, sure, we now have President Trump in the White House. Very good. But stop acting as if he’s a savior, it’s all fixed now, and it’s all great again.
It isn’t.
It hasn’t been for decades.
Due to apathy, complacency, lostness, passivity, ignorance, and downright residing in an altered reality world by those professing to be followers of the LORD Jesus Christ, Yeshua Hamashiac. Perhaps not off in some distant place in a monastery, a retreat, but living out daily the same distancing and silence from being engaged in the spiritual war taking place around and within every person. Relentlessly. In times such as these.
The end of days. The last of the last days.
Thank you, LORD, for a pastor such as Jack Hibbs. Thank you, LORD, for some folks who are born anew, who do follow you and realize the times and have the whole armor of God on and do not remove it, ever, and understand as a soldier in this war there is no going AWOL, hunkering down in the self-dug foxhole, living in some altered reality pretending all is well and they don’t need to be aware, say anything, do anything.
Wake up.
Finally.
Yes, Newsom held his hand from the document, not bringing this horrible bill into law on August 19th, but it isn’t over. None of the spiritual war is. You joined up some time ago. Why have you surrendered, retired, never become engaged? Evil will wait. Patiently at times. Sneaky. Wait for the room to clear and people’s attention to be diverted. AB495 hasn’t gone away for good. Be looking for its revival when least expected. Know that those in positions of authority, who work in the God ordained institution of government, are instructed in Scripture to wield a sword of righteousness AGAINST evil, to root out evil with good — not quite how many in positions in government operate now, is it? Don’t like this? Think politics and faith don’t mix? Time to open, read, and think deeply on the God-breathed words within the word of God, the only book of truth and light, the only book given us by God, from God, with His words.
Why leave the doing to others?
What’s that? You don’t live in California, so this doesn’t apply to you? Oh, I see, because where you reside, all is well and there is no evil, no corruption, no spiritual war and its battles taking place, eh?
And it isn’t the far leftist agenda at work, come on, already, when will those professing to follow Christ finally call things what they are? Well, I guess they first need to recognize them for what they are and have the Holy Bible literacy and awareness to discern well and rightly we’re in a spiritual war — NOT a political ideology one.
If you’re out walking and you see a dog, do you call it a cat? A tree? A mouse, or do you recognize it for what it is and call it a dog?
Why is it so difficult to call evil evil, sin sin, the things taking place in the spiritual war spiritual warfare instead of lazily falling into labeling it all political warfare?

Pastor Warns Christians to Flee California Before Democrats Take Their Kids

Despite California’s far leftist agenda that involves major outreaches to restrict religious rights, eliminate the benefits of being a family, force the ideals of transgenderism on innocent young children, weaponize the government against conservatives and Christians, and more, there still remain families.
But that might be changing, after Jack Hibbs, the prominent American pastor, founder of Calvary Chapel Chino Hills and host of “Real Life with Jack,” warned them in a rally in Sacramento that a new bill being considered by majority Democrats would allow just about anyone to take control of children belonging to other families.

California’s AB 495 is the most dangerous bill we’ve ever seen—and it’s being pushed right now by lawmakers in Sacramento.

A report at Fox News reveals the proposal, AB495, would allow anyone to defeat parental rights and would create circumstances that would make dreams “come true” for any “human trafficker, pedophile, and kidnapper.”
The bill would provide that anyone can submit an affidavit and then be allowed to register children in school and make medical decisions for them.
There’s no requirement that schools confirm the adult has any such right.
“There is no requirement in the bill for schools to get parental consent, check photo I.D., or do a background check on those who complete the affidavit, Hibbs argued. The affidavit requests a driver’s license number, but caregivers may provide a Social Security or Medi-Cal number instead,” the report explained.
“Legal experts have concluded that this very well might be the worst, most dangerous legislation that has ever come out of California,” Hibbs said. “If this bill passes, you have to grab your kid and leave the state for your child’s protection.”
The plan, the “Family Preparedness Plan Act,” purports to protect immigrant children.
But it simply provides that “a caregiver,” anyone some sort of “relationship” with the child could sign an authorization and be handed the legal right to put children in schools, consent to medical care and more.
Fox reported, “He hopes to draw enough attention to the bill to warn families but also hold Newsom accountable if he signs it into law.”
“This is where Newsom must be stopped,” Hibbs said, referring to the governor’s rumored 2028 presidential aspirations. “Let’s make him own this bill. Let’s tie it around his neck and let it be a letter that he wears that he has no regard for parental rights and no regard for federal law.”
