My Sin Is Just a Little Thing is the lie many tell themselves. Pornography is an untouchable subject in our culture. Oh, sure, there is some feigned outcry at times, some folks making an appearance, a show of things, but most people choose to ignore the degree of lust, depravity, sexual immorality, and the high percentage of the population being consumed, and carried away by pornography, and how it has grown — unabated, even celebrated, elevated, legitimized, adopted, accepted and approved of within society.
Children are sexualized and exposed to sexual input, pornography, and sexually immoral materials at an ever younger age. Access to such visual and audible material is easy to find, free, and ever-increasing in output.
We live in a lost, lying, imagining we’re being so deceptive while still contending — PRETENDING — we’re Christian men and women pleasing and acceptable unto the Lord!
What a dark, lost, lying people we are.
Can a righteous person be found when Christ returns the Word of God asks?
At this rate? Unlikely.
People accept, adopt, permit, allow, and approve of every evil under the sun lying, deluding, conniving, pretending to be holy, righteous, truly born anew, having the Holy Spirit indwelling them as they turn more and more to the flesh and further from the spiritual.
Woe to us all who embark on this dark, entering into a sick, sad lost place.
Nothing is hidden from God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.
No one can pull one over on God. No one can excuse their poor behavior and seek lustful pleasures rather than godly ones.
Sadly, most of the people partaking are married. And if you would take some time to do some of your own research you will tragically learn that a growing number of professed Christian women, married women, and professed Christian men, married men are turning to pornography and not being satisfied with their helpmate. Seeking and needing other sexual stimulation.
Sad state of affairs isn’t it?
What to do? Resist the wiles of the devil, resist temptation, devote more time, sincere time to Bible study, a prayer life, and thankfulness to the Lord and less time to fleeting pleasures that lead to death and alienation from the Lord. Grieving the Lord.
It is difficult to equate and balance, to justify going to pornography while also claiming to love the Lord Jesus Christ.
It is not easy if we follow our own desires and are not spending enough time in prayer, in the Word of God. It is so easy to turn to earthly pleasures, physical pleasures in this life. I know. I’ve done it myself. And it is from this learning, from at times taking earthly pleasures more than the goodness, the sacrifice of God, the love of the Lord and His Word.
We either serve the Lord or we serve ourselves, we serve the ruler of this earthly realm, Satan.
We either truly love the Lord, or we lie.
There is no eating one’s cake and having it too. No justification for sin. For pursuing sexual pleasures over those afforded by the shed blood of Jesus on the cross and what true faith in that can provide.
But we must not only speak the life, we must LIVE the life. By our actions. By the fruit we bear.
And nothing is hidden from the Lord.
Pornography is accepted and brushed off as no big thing.
Well, my friends, brothers, and sisters, anyone caught in its snare is weak, weak prey for the Evil One. An excuse maker. A sin partaker. Grieving the Lord. Grieving the Holy Spirit. Which can have no part of such sin. So, does the Holy Spirit and the Lord increase in our hearts, and our lives if and when we go our own way and partake of such sin?
Hardly.
Pray for God’s help and strength in overcoming. Every temptation. Every sin. And keep yourselves clean, bright, spotless, blemishless, and pure from the sin, the dank darkness, the rot, and fleeting physical pleasures of sexual immorality and sin that impact your eternity.
Love the Lord. More than anything, anyone else. Or else…
Or love momentary earthly physical pleasures that directly impact your daily life, your relationship with the Lord…and your eternity.
Anyone can overcome temptation. They really can. No excuses will hold up. Instead of spending time in sinful pleasures and pursuits use that time in fervent, humble, sincere prayer to God, and in His Word.
For spiritual health and wellbeing. For life.
Rather than becoming further spiritually malnourished and taken deeper into the abyss by the devil.
And that is exactly what it’s all about.
What follows isn’t merely about billboards in London town in the U.K. The billboards are just one wee thing of the epidemic of sexual depravity, sexual immorality, and turning from God, justifying whatever behaviors and attitudes we adopt, accept, and approve of. We are living in these Biblical times.

Outcry as ‘pornographic’ billboards get green light by ASA
2 September 2023

Billboards promoting social media accounts for a nude model have been approved by the advertising regulator despite outrage from residents.
The posters, which are on display in four London areas, show Eliza Rose Watson provocatively posing in a bra alongside her username for Instagram and OnlyFans.
Although the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) ruled that the image was “not overtly sexual” and may only be “distasteful to some”, residents warned that it could push children towards pornographic content.
‘Inappropriate’
OnlyFans, a platform where over-18s can subscribe to users’ posts, has been previously branded by The New York Times as “synonymous with porn”. Watson states that her own account contains “FULLY nude content with no paywall”.
Her Instagram profile, which can be previewed without an account, also contains sexualised photos which could be seen by children of any age.
Harrow Council labelled the adverts “inappropriate”, while a resident said “this type of advertisement is not appropriate for anybody to see. Children, families, the elderly, etc. are walking the streets every day”.
Watson attempted to defend the adverts arguing that if gambling or alcohol companies are allowed to advertise: “why not me?”
‘Damaging’
The Christian Institute’s Ciarán Kelly responded: “Despite the ASA’s absurd claim that the adverts are only ‘mildly sexual’, they are undoubtedly signposting everyone on the street to pornographic accounts.
“The ASA should rethink its decision. The U.K. is already suffering from an online porn epidemic and studies repeatedly show how harmful it is for young people: sullying future relationships, damaging self-esteem, and giving them a completely warped idea of what a sexual relationship should be.
“These kind of adverts will only serve to damage more lives.”
Review
Last month, the U.K. Government announced a review of pornography regulation to tackle any gaps which allow “exploitative, abusive and illegal” online content.
The review, which is not expected to be completed before the end of the year, is set to address the separate regimes covering online and offline pornographic material to ensure that any restrictions are consistently applied.
Mr. Kelly welcomed steps to introduce robust age-verification measures but called on the Government to also “address known gaps now – for example by prohibiting online content that would be prohibited offline”.
He urged Ministers: “Don’t put off to tomorrow what can be done today”.
