We live in the age where nearly everyone is asking, begging, “Follow me!” — on their social media platforms.

That’s fine. As long as the social media platforms are edifying. or at least fun without having to confront and deal with all rhe noise and nonsense that finds its way onto a site somewhere — to get people all stirred up.

That reaction is not warranted considering the content of most folks’ social media pages or platforms.

There is One, only One Individual who can say, “Follow Me,” with the right message, the only true message, eliciting dropping everything and following Him. Making him Lord of their life.

There is a power in every word Jesus ever uttered. Great power in His words, in His atoning blood, in His conquering death.

When you hear “Follow Me,” from the LORD Jesus Christ, don’t continue to ignore or hesitate; tell Him now is not a good time. You won’t hear those words forever. Each day, the sound, the gentle timber of them begins to fade as the perpetual jackhammer noise of this life continues on, so many asking, begging, “Follow me,” with billions obliging.

Sadly, a remnant of folks hear those words within their heart spoken by the LORD and leave what they have been doing — which was living in the world, serving self, coasting, getting by, keeping busy in order not to have to think deeply.

Simple words. “Follow Me.”

May you be one who has heard and has followed. May you be one hearing those words and now turning to the Speaker and taking steps to Him, forever.

Because, the otherwise, is not a wise decision to take. It will leave a person burned, hardened, cursing, raving, among other things, unpleasant, the greatest lasting unpleasantness — eternity in hell — awaiting them upon their final breath.

Listen. Drop what you’re doing. And follow Him all the days and nights of your life. Whatever may come. However long that life may be.

Because we’re all following something, someone — and it comes down to either following the LORD Jesus Christ, or following the devil. There is no neutral zone, gray area, confusion as to what is what, and why.
