On Tuesday, the 13th, and Wednesday, the 14th, I had the original article from Franklin Graham calling for repentance and prayer on the 14th here on ACP. I deleted that, as the 14th has passed, but I will be keeping this short video interview on CBN News with Reverend Graham, because each day God blesses America with another day, and each person in America wakes up to that blessed day, ought to be a call to individual repentance from our sins, and a national call to repent for our sins — as well as ANYTIME ANY DAY is the right time, the right day to turn to the LORD in prayer.
Let us not neglect our getting one-on-One with God. Speaking our hearts, openly, completely to the LORD, for nothing is hidden but God needs for us to seek Him, wait upon Him, commune with Him, ASK Him even though He knows what we will say. He needs to hear us say it.
Parents, husbands, wives, friends, brothers, sisters — ever been close to a person and to where you knew what a person wanted to say to you, but they were holding back? Yet you needed to hear it. They, or you, needed to say it aloud, even though the receiving ears and mind knew what was coming — it needed saying.
Go to the LORD. In all things. Every day.
For what a Friend we have in Jesus, what a merciful, loving God we have.
All we need to do is…
“…if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
2 Chronicles 7:14
Those words from God were originally spoken to Israel. They are as relevant and applicable to God’s people in America today as when first spoken.
Know why America is in the condition it is? Sin, yes, rebellion, yes, serving Satan, yes — but that is because God’s people have been otherwise occupied, silent, fearful, ill-equipped in the Word, lacking in faith, lacking in trusting in the LORD. We, God’s people, are the most responsible for how our families, our communities, our states, and our nation is. It’s up to us. We’re supposed to be the ones in the light, brought out of darkness. To salt everything in the flavoring of Jesus, repentance, salvation, speaking of sin, spreading the gospel, preparing the way.
It isn’t enough to show up at a church on Sunday.
Make something for a bake sale.
Do some program for children, sit on a committee, blah, blah, blah.
That isn’t being light and salt, aware, equipped, and engaged in the spiritual warfare taking place around every person, within every person in America.
That takes work? Focus? Time? Study to be equipped properly? Also, effort to maintain the Whole Armor of God? Yeah, you’re right. More than showing up for a while on a Sunday morning and chatting over coffee and cookies or donuts about the kids, the vacation, and all the other billions of idle words uttered by — God’s people — instead of our repenting and going to the LORD in prayer, not asking for a new car, self, self, self, self, unless to have ourselves made in the likeness of Jesus more each day, looking up for His coming to take us home, while being prepared and ready to give a defense each day the Good LORD blesses us with breath and a beating heasrt in this nation. This naiton in the depths of sin and rebellion. In utter darkness, no matter all the lofty words spoken in an attempt not acknowledge the reality taking place here.
Watch on…

Are We Near the End Times? Franklin Graham’s Powerful Warning Amid World ‘Implosion’
January 14, 2026
From CBN News
Franklin Graham Interview
The Rev. Franklin Graham issued an urgent call to prayer, encouraging Americans to come together at noon on January 14 to collectively seek God — a move he believes is essential for a nation he believes has turned its back on the Lord. “Our nation is falling so far from God and His truth,” Graham told CBN News. The Samaritan’s Purse CEO cited as evidence confusion he observed this week at the Supreme Court, where justices are currently weighing whether states can preclude biological men from participating in women’s sports. Graham said 10 years ago such an argument wouldn’t have been entertained.
“This … just shows you the confusion,” he said. “Then we see the riots that [have] taken place in many of our streets, the anger that’s boiling over in the streets. Iran right now is burning … Venezuela, Cuba, Russia, Ukraine, Gaza — all of this. … It seems like the world is about to implode.” With that uncertainty, Graham is pushing for people “to pray” and “repent as a nation.” The son of the late evangelist Billy Graham also encouraged people to pray for President Donald Trump and other U.S. leaders, asking God to guide them in making “such critical decisions.” “We need to repent of our sins and turn from those sins,” he said. “And we need to repent of our own sins, not just the nation’s sins, but … our personal sins and ask God to forgive us.”
Ultimately, Graham said the dysfunction unfolding simply shouldn’t be happening and said clinging to God is the solution America needs. “We need God’s help, and we need just to surrender ourselves to Him,” he said. “And, as a nation, repent.” With so much chaos unfolding not just in America, but in the Middle East — from Israel to Iran and everything in between — some might be looking at these events and trying to process theological beliefs about eschatology and the end times. Graham addressed this as well.
“I believe most people who read the Bible and study Scripture feel that we’re in those last days,” he said. “And how many days are in the last days? No one knows. There could be another 100 years or more, but we all believe that we’re getting close to the end, and so we need to be watching. The Bible tells us to watch. Christ could return at any minute, and so we need to be ready.” Part of that readiness, he said, is confessing sins and repenting and making sure “our house is in order.”
