My wife and I saw this film yesterday. It’s only going to be in theaters this weekend. Don’t miss it. One of the best movies you can see. Not a waste of time or money. Best film available in any theater in America at this time, and there wouldn’t be an America were it not for George Whitefield and his coming to America to preach, awakening this fractured land.
Divine Providence. America was made possible only by God, Our Founder, and His using George Whitefield as well as Benjamin Franklin to make the Revolution possible. And God made the victory over the greatest, most powerful, richest, and best-equipped nation, army, and navy on earth.
All things are possible with God. All good things. What are we each doing with this special Constitutional Republic the Lord made possible for us? We each have a responsibility to keep it, maintain it, cherish it, and shine within it, giving thanks to God. Daily. Pushing back against the darkness, the whiners, the destroyers, the liars, the thieves of liberty, the enemy within that hates everything God has made possible here. Don’t neglect or squander the goodness, the freedom, the opportunity to be light and salt in the darkness in this land before the darkness becomes so pervasive, so intense, so consuming it forbids the light to speak, to write, to be ambassadors for the LORD Jesus Chrsit, Yeshua Hamashiach, except in secret, in hidden places, as so many of our brothers and sisters in Christ must do in the lands where they live and believe in the only true faith leading to life.
Believe it. Be part of it, allowing God to reveal and work in you. Yes, you.

From Hillsdale College
Saturday, April 4, 2026
Our Colonial America course introduced thousands of Americans to the events and ideas that forged the American character — and now one of its most compelling stories is coming to theaters. On April 3rd, our friends at Sight & Sound Theatres will release A Great Awakening, the true story of an unlikely friendship between Benjamin Franklin and Reverend George Whitefield, and their shared struggle to bring faith and freedom to a fledgling nation. Showing in select theaters nationwide, it’s the kind of storytelling that makes history feel alive. Tickets available now.
