Social media influencer Dan Bilzerian, who has made numerous antisemitic remarks, launched a Republican bid to unseat U.S. Rep. Randy Fine in Florida’s 6th U.S. House District, targeting the incumbent over his support for Israel and military action in Iran.
Bilzerian filed federal paperwork for the 2026 midterm elections and simultaneously escalated attacks against Fine, a Jewish lawmaker who previously served in the Florida Legislature.
Fine sponsored antisemitism legislation that was later incorporated into state law.
In a post on X on Tuesday, the same day he filed, Bilzerian wrote: “We get it, you’re a Jew, and you support America’s destruction to help your parasitic nation. He has no place in our government, and when I unseat him, I’m going to draft laws to have anyone putting Israel before America tried for treason.”
Days earlier, Bilzerian posted: “This fat jew Rep. Fine publicly talks s*** about Muslims but says he’s passed laws to throw people in prison for five years for criticizing Jews.”
Bilzerian has frequently criticized Fine’s positions on Israel and regional policy, including support for military action in Iran.
His campaign messaging has centered on opposition to what he describes as prioritizing Israel over U.S. interests.
Despite his repeated attacks on antisemitism laws, Bilzerian said in a TMZ interview that he supports expanding the definition of antisemitism rather than eliminating it, provided it includes non-Jewish groups.
“The term is focused solely on Jews, but actual Semites are the Arabs,” he said. “And Palestinians are Semites as well. They actually have more DNA lineage to that region than any of the Eastern European Ashkenazi Jews that have taken it from them.”
Bilzerian has a large online following, with 30,000,000 followers on Instagram and 2,000,000 on X.
He regularly posts statements such as “Jewish supremacy is the greatest threat to the world today,” questions the accuracy of the statistic that 6,000,000 Jews died in the Holocaust, and shares content from avowed antisemite Nick Fuentes.
