Some excellent words many need in such a time as this.
Too bad the world’s view of Satan is the only one that can be found in illustration. The fallen angel, Lucifer, is not red or black, with a pointy tail and horns. He appears as an angel of light. Seductive. Beautiful. Alluring. Cunning.
Just as many are deceived as to his power and abilities, they are deceived in his appearance.
The devil is not omnipotent as many believe. He is greatly limited.
Seek the truth. Find the truth. Live out the truth. Which can only be found in God’s living and active, inerrant, infallible, unchangeable, and eternal Word.
Go first and always to the Holy Bible.
Then sift through anything else, test it all, glean the kernals of truth founded upon Scripture, and cast away all the chaff and noise.
Do not permit the seductive whisperings in the ear of The Enemy and the legions enslaved to him pull you away, cause undue fear, or lead astray.
Eat, drink, dive into, and immerse in the living Word of God today. Every day. All your days.
We have Jesus Who has made the way for us. He has come to earth in the flesh, fully truly God, fully truly a man, to overcome and show us all we need to know and keep our eyes, hearts, minds, and spirits centered upon.
Satan wants us wobbly, fearful, distracted, overcome, doubting. Listening to him, exactly as our original parents did in the Garden. Do not give him any room. Go to the LORD immediately upon feeling any intrusion, any sense of his influence. Go to the LORD, asking Him to rebuke and cast away that which tempts and desires our doubting, causes disobedience.
If necessary, do this as often as needed. Do not forget Satan is the father of lies and deception. Do not give him more power than he is permitted to have by God, for a season.
Do not allow him to hinder the victory attained by faith in the LORD Jesus Christ, do not allow him to lessen what God did shedding His blood on the cross, atoning for our sin, dying, to be buried, and in walking out of the tomb three days later. To be observed by over 500 witnesses, to ascend in front of His chosen disciples.
To return.
To return one day.
Sooner than later. Live accordingly. Understanding the place and power, the limits of the Evil One. Not allowing him to have any room in our lives as we walk in the light, in pursuit of God.
