Light Up Fort Wayne’ Brings Community Together for Annual Chanukah ...

God, Adonai, Jehovah, Elohim, Yahweh — Creator of all things seen and unseen, of God the Father to true believers, Jesus the Messiah, Christ, Yeshua, and the Holy Spirit made a COVENANT with Abraham, Issac, and Jacob [Israel] and the people of the 12 tribes of Israel. When God makes a covenant, a PROMISE He never forgets, He never changes, He never goes back on His word.

Ever.

Eternally.

Just as He never forgets, changes, or goes back on His promise to any individual who humbles themselves and turns to the LORD Jesus Christ, in sincere repentance of sin, to follow, to serve, to believe, and be a disciple of Jesus faithfully.

God keeps His promises to the Jews.

Be thankful, true Christ follower, for that, for that means He also keeps His promises to every person turned faithfully to His Son, the LORD Jesus Christ.

Don’t like this? Don’t believe this? Well, go up against God, the Creator, and see how that works out.

God isn’t going anywhere. His word isn’t going anywhere. Jews and Israel will not be removed. Christ’s faithful followers will not vanish or be disappointed.

God promises. He keeps His promises.

These are troubled times for Jews, but God will not abandon them

Chanukah is a magical festival of lights that reaffirms that G-d shows favor to the Jewish people. Theirs is an unbreakable bond. True believers do not question the covenant. They embrace it, accept it, and believe it. (See, at the end of this post, the lyrics to the Jewish version of “Rock of Ages.” This traditional Hanukkah hymn is believed to the 12th or 13th centuries, with music from the 15th century.)

We must remember this bond today, for Jews live in troubled times. It is doubtful there are more than 16-17 million Jews alive in the world today.

The population of the United States is 348,114,726 as of December 15, 2025. In March 2025, the Jewish population in the United States was 7,698,840, according to the Jewish Electorate Institute. Jews make up only 2.2% of the total American population. (In 1950, they were 3.3% of the total population.)

Israel has a total population of 10,179,500, of which approximately 7,208,500 are Jews. The remainder of the population consists of Arabs (21%) and others (Druze, non-Arab Christians, etc.).

There exist other major international Jewish population centers, but their numbers are small and dropping:

  • France: 440,000
  • Canada: 398,000
  • U.K.: 312,000
  • Argentina: 171,000
  • Russia: 142,000
  • Germany: 125,000
  • Austria: 117,200

And yet despite our minuscule numbers, we live in the heads of millions upon millions of deranged, hateful people who lust to kill Jews. Lots of Jews. Any Jews or a single Jew. Western Europe has abandoned the co-existence it achieved with the Jews after the genocide of WWII. This was foolish. It cannot successfully feed the Islamic beast and long survive.

Yes, they will come for the Jews first. But how is that working out for those who follow that path? It is true that throughout the ages, Jews have been attacked and murdered, but some have always survived. That cannot be said for many civilizations that have tried to smite the Jews, only to have gone on to their own utter defeat.

What will occur in the U.K. is predictable. Islamists already politically control 1/3 of London. Many Jews will or should leave the U.K. for Israel and safety. Unless there is a British uprising, the U.K. will ultimately become Muslim.

Increasingly, and incredibly, the same can also be said for Jews living in the United States. The golden age for Jews in the United States, that lasted from about 1950 through 1980 or 1990, is over. It is dead. Jews are hated and hunted, not only abroad but, tragically, here at home.

However, a fix in America is still doable.

Republican and Democrat congresspeople can say: “No more.”

Hunting Jews can no longer be a growing American pastime. Laws can be passed to stiffen the penalties for antisemitic attacks. Most importantly, immigrants who foster it will be deported, regardless of how long they have lived in the United States.

Rock of Ages – Ma’oz Tzor

Rock Of Ages let our song

Praise your saving power

Thou amidst the raging foes

You were our sheltering tower

Furious they assailed us

But thine arm availed us

And thy word broke their sword

When our own strength failed us

Children of the wanderers

Whether free, whether free or fettered

Wake the echoes, wake the echoes of the songs

Where you may be scattered

Yours the message cheering

That, that the time is nearing

Which will see all men free

And tyrants disappearing.
