There is no such thing as a Christian who professes the current progressive heretical doctrines in churches. It is more than an oxymoron. We need to stop being concerned about offending a person, or having to always use gentle, soft speech according to the world. Would Jesus, would any of the apostles, any of the prophets be more concerned with using gentle, acceptable to the world, acceptable to the deluded and utterly lost in what they believe? So their feelings aren’t hurt?

Hardly.

Hell is going to hurt worse and longer than anything dished out here. That fact always needs to be considered.

Clear, direct, truthful. The only way to speak or write with regard to the faith. The pursuit of God, living as a born from above, renewed of mind and spirit disciple of the LORD Jesus Christ, a true Christ follower, a true child of God.

Testing all spirits, testing and judging all things against the clear word of God.

Not hesitating or fearing speaking and writing boldly thereupon.

No denomination, no church, no pastor, no individual espousing the unsound doctrine, the anti-true gospel of what has become known as progressive Christianity, is truly a Christ follower, knowing, understanding, living out the faith, bearing good fruit as clearly understood from reading the Holy Bible.

Discipline has vanished. Within the church. From the pulpits. In the home. Without discipline, practicing, focus, and setting priorities all founded upon the whole contents of the Word of God, the individual, the organization hurtles along a path of eventual destruction.

Progressive in their beliefs people, organizations are not Christians, or Christian. They are antichrists who have entered in to destroy and create chaos, confusion, and lead many astray.

They are Jude 1:4 and so much more…

“For certain individuals whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord.”

Do those words need further clarification to understand them?

I understand the words “Progressive Christianity,” have become engrained in our lexicon, but it needs to be understood, and clear, truthful alternative word usage begin as to just how heretical, false the teachings of that dogma are, and if using those two words together clarifying immediately how incompatible modern-day progressive thought [delusion] is to the word of God and walking with the LORD, born anew, as a true disciple, a true Christ follower [Christian].

These words of the apostle Paul from his second letter to Timothy are directed to more than just Timothy…

“I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom: Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.”

2 Timothy 4:1-5

That time is now. It has come. Many have and are falling away. The itching ears are a plague within the church.

Watch, listen, know, as by their fruit all will be known, and do not shirk, hide from, deny, refuse to discern wisely, and speak and write thereof the consequences of those false teachers espousing unsound doctrines, bearing bad fruit, as we are instructed clearly to judge, to discern correctly what is of God and His word and ways and what is not, who is not …

“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it. Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore by their fruits you will know them. Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!”

Matthew 7:13-23

Progressive Christianity is more than an oxymoron. It is a lie. It is heresy. It is unsound doctrine, a false gospel. Those who follow it rather than following the LORD Jesus Christ are not His followers but the worlds, and the follower of the prince of the air, the father of lies — Satan.

Yes, Satan has boldly, loudly entered the church and found his mouthpieces to lead many astray and cause much confusion.

In times such as this, it is not the time for timidity, silence, doubt, fear of speaking and writing directly, clearly what is occurring within the church, within certain false doctrines that have been birthed and grown like cancer within.

Discern well, wisely, rightly all things. That means judge all things against the Word of God. Don’t confuse this with not assuming the position of God judging who is condemned and who is saved. In judging all things, we are not judging as to who goes to heaven, who goes to hell. That is only for God to say, but we are to discern wisely, judge all things if they are compatible, if they stand against the inerrant, infallible, UNCHANGABLE, eternal, living, and active Word of God.

Progressive Christianity: The oxymoron that misses the gospel

What is Progressive Christianity? | by Andrew Springer | Medium

Let’s rewind to high school English for a second. Y’all remember oxymorons? Those figures of speech where two contradictory words collide to create an ironic meaning – like “humble brag,” “bittersweet,” or “organized chaos.” Well, here’s the biggest oxymoron of our time: progressive Christianity.

Those two words are incompatible. Full stop. Christianity is anchored in unchanging, eternal truths that don’t shift with culture, politics, or whatever’s trending. It’s gloriously, unapologetically fixed. Progressivism, by definition, chases change, always moving the goalposts. They’re fundamentally at odds.

Here’s the core of it: Christians are defined by Christ – the Messiah, the Savior of the world. But progressive “Christians” stumble over a question they can’t answer biblically without their ideology unraveling: What did Christ come to save us from? Scripture is clear in Matthew 1:21 and Romans 6:23: Jesus came to save us from sin and death – eternal separation from God. He paid the price for our sins, conquered death, and became the bridge to the Father for anyone who accepts Him as Messiah. That’s the gospel. That’s Christianity.

Progressive “Christians,” though, redefine it all. To them, Jesus isn’t the Savior from sin but a moral teacher, an activist, or a symbol for their political causes – think socialism or liberation from “oppressive systems.” They see the faith as a tool to fight for the “oppressed,” who they define as illegal immigrants, non-whites, the sexual depravity, sexually deviant and immoral community, the poor, or women seeking abortions. In their view, oppression is anyone not getting taxpayer-funded benefits – like a homosexual couple denied insurance for surrogacy or an illegal immigrant without access to state health care.

Their salvation isn’t spiritual; it’s political. Their “kingdom of heaven” is a world where the “oppressors” – white people, straight men, the wealthy, or anyone who disagrees with progressive policies – are defeated. Sin? It’s not personal; it’s collective, tied to “systems” they oppose. Jesus becomes a savior from conservatism, not condemnation.

Now, let’s look at what the Bible actually says. God is holy, perfect, and just. He created us, but our sin – every one of us is guilty (Romans 3:23) – separates us from Him, earning us eternal punishment. That’s where Jesus steps in. God sent His perfect, sinless Son to live the life we couldn’t. Jesus was crucified, not because He challenged Roman power structures or championed the marginalized, as progressives “Christians” claim, but because He declared Himself God – the promised Messiah. The Jewish leaders rejected that, and Rome complied and carried out the execution.

Jesus didn’t die to dismantle earthly systems. He died because sin demands death, and only Jesus, perfect and divine, could pay that price, making a way for us to be reconciled to God. That’s the gospel, and it’s the best news we’ll ever hear.

We can debate how to apply biblical principles to politics, but true Christians follow Jesus the Messiah, not Jesus the activist. Progressive Christianity tries to mold Him into a political figure, and it falls apart under scrutiny. It’s an oxymoron that can’t stand up to the truth of scripture.
