“But the…”

But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere.

James 3:17

The gaining of knowing from God is first, always pure. Purer than anything from below on this earth. Then given to not cause division or endless debate, easy to receive, according to reason, logic, rational thought, while being delivered with love and mercy, know what true mercy is — as it shows the way to good fruits leading to life — and what comes from God, Christ, and the Holy Spirit is impartial. Accessible and understandable by all. Everywhere. No matter who. With the utmost sincerity. Due to God’s great love for us, His creation in His image.

To reject such wisdom is the most foolish and selfish act a person can undertake. Yet, the overwhelming majority do — such is the power of sin, the power of evil, the power of the flesh, the power of Satan over so many refusing to submit to the Lord, believe the Lord, follow and serve the Lord faithfully, obediently.

The former will receive their just reward.

Just as the latter will.

Regrettably for the former, the way they go leads only to eternal death, the depths of hell. When they had the opportunity to turn to the wisdom from above — yet they mocked, denied, hid from it, refused it as their love of self, their love of this world ruled in their hearts and minds rather than the King of kings, Lord of lords, Jesus Christ ruling in their lives…

No, “but,” will be accepted in the judgment after the coming of the Day of the Lord.

Only now. As the Good, Great Almighty God blesses by His will the breath, the beating heart, and the life within an individual is their opportunity.

Do we arrogantly proceed thinking we have a tomorrow, a next week, a next year, so many years yet ahead?

The Parable of the Rich Fool

Someone in the crowd said to him, “Teacher, tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me.” But he said to him, “Man, who made me a judge or arbitrator over you?” And he said to them, “Take care, and be on your guard against all covetousness, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.” And he told them a parable, saying, “The land of a rich man produced plentifully, and he thought to himself, ‘What shall I do, for I have nowhere to store my crops?’ And he said, ‘I will do this: I will tear down my barns and build larger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods. And I will say to my soul, “Soul, you have ample goods laid up for many years; relax, eat, drink, be merry.”’ But God said to him, ‘Fool! This night your soul is required of you, and the things you have prepared, whose will they be?’ So is the one who lays up treasure for himself and is not rich toward God.”
