Are you interested in the how, why, where? The who? Why do we do this? How did this come about? What’s the history of this? Is there a history to ___________ that I should know?

This then is the time and place. You are where you ought to be right now.

Ignorance is not bliss. It’s just ignorance — not knowing. This can be okay in some instances, rare and few for anyone I would say, but is very dangerous and troubling when it comes to being a born again follower of the Lord Jesus Christ and pleasing unto the Lord our God.

There was a time when I was first renewed of mind and spirit, converted is a word commonly used, born again is what truly happened by the Supernatural power of the Holy Spirit of God, and I was adamant about not putting up a pagan tree, not doing this, not doing that at Christmas time. I was being a legalistic Pharisee. I was being a prat. Not a typo. If unfamiliar it’s a British slang word. Look it up.

With maturity, wisdom, and discovery of THE FACTS, THE TRUTH I have come to change my foolish and ignorant views to one of learning history, the discovery of the facts, and thus adjusting my heart and mind regarding the traditions and actions taken at this time of year.

Christmas. Or as a man I love, a Messianic Jew that is a wonderful godly man, Marty Goetz says, Messiahmas.

Yesterday, there was a wonderful guest at Calvary Chapel Chino Hills, California Church speaking on the traditions of Christmas, and rediscovering Christ in those traditions. Mr. William J. Fererer. A godly man and quite possibly a true genius. Perhaps you’re familiar with his many books and his speaking.

I had adjusted my thinking, my beliefs prior to yesterday, some years ago, upon being led from foolishness, ignorance, and legalism, adhering to unfounded and inaccurate ways and words of false teachings, hearsay, accumulated rubbish online and passed around —  to the actual historical, factual truths. That is a remarkable thing more folks ought to pray about and be willing to be led into. Away from mumbo jumbo, ideas that crop up in the mind, aren’t researched enough, aren’t prayed about enough, aren’t studied in Scripture enough, and become adopted and approved. Carved into the gray matter like carving words into stone.

Please, I know it’s all about brevity these days. Can’t sit still and open and watch a video. No time, right? Too much racing through the mind, vainly imagining multi-tasking is a real thing, and all those things on the To Do List are life and death vital, right? So much, so much, so much to do, right?  Well, there’s time for so much of everything else that isn’t leading one closer to Christ in the daily scheme, the daily schedule I hope and pray you do not gravitate to the usual response and click off this page, or only open and watch 15 seconds of one of the following videos due to being so, so busy with so much else in this material world. Or determining already you’re not interested, or what is published here does not apply to your life.

Don’t do it for me.

Don’t ever do that.

Do it to become accurately informed. Truth based and founded. On real history. The facts. For your life walking with the Lord. Growing closer to the Lord. Increasing in spiritual wisdom, understanding, and knowledge. Maturity. Growth. Casting ignorance and perhaps long held foolish and errant ideas away and discovering perhaps for the first time facts. History. Truths.

Please open and watch the following videos in their entirety. Then pass them along to others that you know who might need to learn, to either rediscover or discover for the first time these biblical, historical truths. This reality.

God in His mercy and love, His desire for us, we the fallen sinners of creation, come to see, hear, and know His Son, God Who came to earth to suffer and have the shadow of the tree of shame over that manger in Bethlehem that day, that Christmas Day the Lord Jesus Christ, Yeshua Hamashiach was born.

Maybe it’s time we take a look at Christmas as more than just a reason to celebrate. Christmas is the prophetic fulfillment of God’s Word. As we prepare for the holiday, it’s also time to prepare our hearts for the Lord’s return–because just as the first coming of Jesus was foretold, so is His second coming.
