Subscribers and frequent visitors to A Crooked Path may have in the past come across a number of articles in the past years pertaining to the subject of what is termed “assisted suicide,” or euthanasia. These articles showed how nations such as Canada, England, the Netherlands and others were writing and enacting into law in their Parliaments the killing of, the murder of people. That is what this is about plain and simple. Governments and individuals taking it into their hands to play God.

We have the wails and shouts, the screams for what they declare is “compassion” and the “right to a quality of life” from those individuals, organizations and doctors pressuring governments continually to make lawlessness and immorality lawful. And governments relent. Morals, values continue to erode and decline.

As you will discover in the article posted below from The Christian Institute, a hospital in Canada is advertising euthanasia in urgent care waiting rooms.

The problem with erosion is the storm rains never cease. There never is a drought of further demands, further erosion. Further depths of moral decline and depravity. Some new group added to the growing lists.

Individuals act all pious or arrogant, all sad and hurting that they, or someone they know, is suffering physically or mentally and these individuals make their pleas and the lost, soft in the mind and spirit, soft or totally foreign to them Biblical foundations, soft on morals and what is right fall into lockstep with these individuals and organizations.

It was wrong from the outset. And it only become increasingly wrong, because as stated above, but cannot mention enough, there is constant chipping away, constant erosion to add this group to the list, make this ailment the next ones eligible for being murdered by either their own will, that of someone they know, or some doctor or government.

When the Nazi’s did this and the world discovered their deeds there were gasps, many tears and outrage.

Now we have numerous governments doing the very same thing — exterminating those in society they deem bothersome, not fitting, too much trouble, costing too much, not the kind of people they want to keep around and keep alive — and there is no outrage. On any front. In fact all this goes by hardly noticed. And it grows exponentially each year.

In the past, in previous articles about this subject, I included information about the fiction movie titled SOYLENT GREEN. That was an outrageous, over the top idea put forth in that film when it came out in 1973. Fast forward 45 years and we now have states in America and numerous nations, and the list continues to grow, as do the ailments, so on permitted, for this very type of action. Fiction and fantasy have become reality in our godless, lost, blind and sin-filled world which has turned from the foundations and imagines themselves as gods, that they can make any law they want to suit evils purposes as they continually follow and listen to the voice of Satan and his legions as if they have been hypnotized by some world class hypnotist — and these very same declare genuine disciples of Jesus, true children of God the ones blindly following myths and lies when the exact opposite is true.

As is the case with so much in this world. The exact opposite being the truth from what the majority believe, think is factual and determine to follow.

What a sad, sick, lost world we live in. Let us pray fervently for Scotland, for England, for Wales and all of the United Kingdom as that nation plummets further and deeper into the abyss of the lies Satan tells them and they follow and believe. Let us also pray for all those nations that have adopted “assisted suicide” laws, as well as the nation of America where the evil is growing, and ask the Spirit of the Lord that His will be done and that the peoples of these places have the constant noise of lies in their ears halted, the scales and blinders from their eyes removed, and a spirit of genuine repentance pervades and prevails throughout these lands and peoples, and these abhorrent, vile, evil laws be reversed and this evil no longer grows as it has.

We are not God. We ought not attempt to bargain with God, tempt God, or negotiate with God. We ought to accept what comes into our lives and if it be suffering? Trials? Pain? To turn to the Lord and grow in strength and faithfulness from these as the Word of God instructs us throughout the entire Bible.

We live in the age of if someone stubs their toe or has a headache they want pain relievers to totally remove all pain. People never want to deal with pain, or illness or suffering of any kind in their lives.

Understandable being human. Surely, but this has grown to the point of where we are now.

And what is to come if this is not slowed, halted, or removed.

Erosion my dear ones, erosion of the Word, of the laws, of morals, of what is right and good and was to be replaced by all this New Age we’re-our-own-gods mentality totally removing God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit and the Holy Bible from all discussion, all thought and the earth.

That is what this is ultimately about.

We cannot shrug. Turn back. Stick our heads in a hole. Close our eyes, shut our hearts, seal our spirits to these heinous deeds and sin.

Stand boldly for the whole inerrant living Word of God. Daily. In all things.

Do not fear the world or that which can take your fleshly life but cannot steal your spirit. Fear that which determines where it will be your spirit dwells for eternity. Turn to the Lord.

And He said unto me, “My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.” Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

2 Corinthians 12:9 — King James Version

Oh, if only the world would adopt this into their hearts and ways — Oh, if only those professing faith in God and Jesus Christ would know this, and not only know it but seal it into their hearts and believe it, live it!

Let us learn to grow in strength from our infirmities, from our pain, from our suffering, from our trials and tribulations. Let us always place all our trust in the Lord and give thanks in all things — in ALL THINGS knowing this is but a vapor, a blink of the eye and let us think upon, look upon, meditate upon eternity. And God. And Jesus. And the Holy Spirit. And the Living complete inerrant Word of God.

Which can and will get us through all things. Every day. If we but believe, read, meditate upon, pray and incorporate His Word into our lives.

Below the brief article below, from The Christian Institute, readers will find many links to many articles on the subject. It is my prayer some of you will take the time to click on those, read them, and then pray to God regarding this subject, and speak out boldly, factually, Scripturally regarding this matter to those whom we come into contact with expressing favor with this immorality, this godlessness, this lawlessness and evil.

‘Vulnerable at risk from change to assisted suicide laws’

People would be pressured to end their lives prematurely if assisted suicide is legalised, a campaign group has warned.

Care Not Killing (CNK) gave the caution in the wake of a British man who called for a change to the law ahead of his own assisted suicide.

Richard Selley, 65, went to the Swiss assisted suicide facility Dignitas and recorded a video message calling on politicians to act.

Abuse

However, CNK said changing the law – a move backed by Dignity in Dying, the activist group formerly known as the Voluntary Euthanasia Society – would negatively impact vulnerable people.

Chief Executive of CNK Dr Gordon MacDonald expressed his sorrow at Mr Selley’s death and how it was being used to try to justify radical new legislation.

“Such a change in the law will put vulnerable people at risk of abuse and of coming under pressure to end their lives prematurely.”

He noted that Westminster and Holyrood have both rejected assisted suicide, in part because of concern over the absence of any genuine safeguards.

Palliative care

Dr. MacDonald added that the experience of other countries should make Scotland wary of going down the same path.

In Ontario, Canada, a hospital has faced criticism for advertising euthanasia in its urgent care waiting room.

“The ad makes no mention of palliative care or other means to reduce or eliminate suffering without killing”, said one critic.

Euthanasia, along with assisted suicide, was legalised in Canada four years ago.
