Forgive my exaggeration. It hasn’t been nearly as many as 17 people who have bought that book over the past 13 years.

If you are one of the closer to only a dozen folks out of the well over 8,000,000,000 folks on this earth now who bought a copy? Please totally disregard the poem titled Head in the Clouds.

That was written in 2010. Fourteen years ago. When I thought I was so wise, so intelligent, so knowing I was incorrect in my thinking. Because I was not allowing the Spirit of God to work in me I sought my personal discernment thinking I was really smart in the conclusions I came to — rather than meditating — thinking deeply, pondering, reading and studying, praying over and about such an important matter as the Rapture.

I was one who, like pastor Jack Hibbs, initially believed in a pre-tribulation Rapture only to change minds to believe in a post-tribulation Rapture, then back to a pre-tribulation Rapture. This comes only upon discerning well the Word of God to understand, know, and firmly believe in a pre-tribulation Rapture — the gathering of the saints in the air to meet Christ — I believed in a pre-tribulation Rapture long before being born again, way back in 1970,  as a result of knowing about and reading a book written by Hal Lindsey. And it was what was taught from the pulpit in my parent’s church that I attended [I was 17 years old at the time]. I believed it would happen. But I was not born anew, renewed of mind and spirit at the time. I was just caught up in the fervor of the 1970 Lindsey book, and I knew more than a few people then who read it and spoke about it to me — to the point I bought a copy. But I was not born again as a result. I just believed it as head knowledge. Nothing spiritual. Imagine that…

And like Jack Hibbs, when I was truly born anew [this is now my experience, not Jack’s, as he was a pre-tribulation, then post-tribulation, then back to pre-tribulation while a TRUE BELIEVER] but when I finally heard the voice of Jesus and came out from the darkness to the light I was then convinced the Rapture, while certainly real, would only occur at the very end of the Great Tribulation period when Jesus returns a Second and Final time. I believed all believers alive at the beginning of the Great Tribulation would have to suffer through it all, if they could survive, and were among the number that could not be counted that John saw that were beheaded for their faith during the Great Tribulation.

I was not fully formed enough in the Lord, in the Word to truly discern, rightly divide the Word

Oh, I was adamant about this. Vocal about this. I wrote of it, I spoke of it. It consumed me at times. I thought I knew so well, so accurately, so wisely.

I didn’t. I was foolish in my thinking.

To the folks who have been kind enough, brave enough, bold enough to purchase a copy of Wilderness: A Crooked Path to the Promised Land — please take on the behavior of a CIA department head, someone working at NSA, a government agency, and blackout, redact the poem Head in the Clouds in your copy. Or carefully get an X-Acto knife or something similar and carefully slice the pages with that poem out of that book.

Because that errant misguided thinking and belief no longer applies.

I have come to know, realize, and believe with all my heart, mind, soul, and spirit that Jesus is coming back to gather His people to be with Him prior to the beginning of the Great Tribulation. I believe Jesus is coming to gather us sooner rather than later due to what is taking place everywhere — people being given over to their reprobate wicked minds, and lawlessness abounds. The growing spiritual warfare, the turning from God, the false teachers and unsound doctrines multiplying more than weeds in your garden, to catch up, gather up His people to Him just before the Antichrist and his false prophet are revealed and The Great Tribulation begins. And earth then only has 7 years remaining. Such a swiftness, such an ending to all things that have been known.

I have spent over the past months much time in prayer, in study, in meditation within God’s Word, in listening to sound preaching and teaching on the matter and I have taken a complete 180 turn to now face and walk in the right direction.

I am going to sit down and write a new poem.

This thought just came to me today. About 45 minutes ago actually.

And its title shall be;

Our Eternal Spirits in the Clouds

Or something along that line. That’s just something that came to mind in the past 10 seconds. But you get the idea. What usually happens, how things unfold with my writing a poem, and even anything found here on ACP is the idea springs to mind. With a poem, it’s almost always the title or one line. And then I normally sit down and write the whole thing in one sitting. Without stopping. And then I do proofread that and make any corrections, or add or delete before publishing it here — or in the case of the book that came out in 2011 making sure it is corrected before being printed.

Even people who are truly born anew can get things wrong, many things wrong and misunderstood when it comes to discerning, knowing well and wisely, and rightly dividing the Word of God.

And each of us can also acknowledge our errors, our misguided thinking, make the correct adjustments so that our little ship catches the wind properly and we can then sail closer, oh so much closer to the Lord on this sea of life our course set firmly on Him, in His Word, always, daily, nightly, continually praying asn asking faithfully for increased spiritual wisdom and discernment, to grow continually in spiritual understanding of God and His Word.

To the dozen folks having a copy? I sincerely hope and pray that you do not abide, or reside in the belief of anything but a pre-tribulation Rapture, for to believe otherwise is to wrest against the Word. To attempt to manipulate the Word of God to fit our thinking rather than us conforming to God’s Word and coming to the correct discernment, understanding, and belief regarding this very important matter.

And do not read Head in the Clouds thinking the man who wrote that in 2010 was wise and knew what he was writing about. That man has grown in the Word and ways of the Lord and the Lord has shown me I was in error then.

We all make mistakes. We all fail. Daily. Regularly. What is most important is to be objective, honest, open with ourselves and make the necessary course corrections while the Good Good & Great Lord of ours blesses us with breath and a beating heart to grow in spiritual understanding and discernment, to grow closer to Him before He comes to gather us up to Him should He not tarry and we, many of us, remain in the flesh the moment that occurs.

The Rapture.

And then the advent of the last days on earth as it has been known. The Great Tribulation and all the atrocities, horrors, suffering, and unspeakable things that will occur. Exactly as the Word of God tells us.
