The evening and the morning
were the sixth day…
The Hebrew:
עֶרֶב
ʿereḇ
And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening H6153 and the morning were the sixth day.
Genesis 1:31
There are pastors, many, there are professed Christians, many who do not believe in the God of the Bible and His infinite power and abilities. His limitlessness. His greatness and wonder are beyond our comprehension and these insist on adopting and approving of the foolish worldview, the evolutionary view even though they may deny this.
The wisdom and knowledge of the world is foolishness. Folly. Errant. And removes one from centering one’s life on the Truth, on God. And anyone who does this delights the devil and sorrows the Lord.
If you do not believe in the Creation as written in Genesis, woe to you…
Believe or do not believe. And prepare for the consequences. The judgment to come due to your judgment according to the Word of God…or according to the world.
If anyone cannot understand clear, concise, and precise language. Words and their meanings and cannot understand the power, the might, the limitless ability of the God of the Bible to create ALL THAT IS KNOWN even to the point of naming every star in the vastness of the heavens, to creating the intricacy of the human heart, the human eye, the human mind…the intricacy of a tree, an ant, the rhythm of the seas…the preciseness of life, all life on this unique spinning through the heavens sphere…all things were created…
…in SIX DAYS as the inerrant infallible unchangeable living and active Word of God tells us?
Oh, woe to those who refuse to believe! Refuse to understand! Deny the infinite power of God [at great eternal risk] our Creator, He Who created all things known and unknown with the Lord Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, by their sheer words and will…
“let there be…”
And it all was and is.
In six 24-hour days.
And today we rest. Upon and within the Lord. To serve Him. To pray to Him. To bow in reverence and awe. In thankfulness and praise. For all He has done. And is doing. And is yet to do.
Mindful always of the cross. What the Lord endured on that tree of shame for us sinners.
Mindful of the empty tomb.
Mindful of the lost in darkness in need of the Light, the Way, the Truth leading to the Life.
Yes, in six twenty-four hour days — evening to morning, morning to evening, the Almighty God, the All-Knowing God, the All-Present God [of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit] created all there is to see and know, and all the visible and invisible things.
Everything for the end from the beginning.
Only God.
Only Jesus.
Only the Holy Spirit.
The Only Way.
Today, tomorrow, Lord willing.
Today is what we are given. The Lord’s Day.
Believe.
Know Who or who it is we serve.
I was going to write a poem about all this and how it moves within me. But I wrote this instead. I still might write the poem. When it moves as it should within me…through prayer and waiting upon the Lord for the right words to put down to raise up our Lord in praise, in awe, in wonder, in reverence…for what He has done, does, and will do…
I could not go to bed until I did this.
Now I bid you good night and good day, this Lord’s day…
